“I’ve been a customer for nearly 8 years no claims always pay on time never any unpaid premiums and this year I lost my job so had to go into a IVA and now my insurance costs me more than double what I normally pay I have to have insurance and would of thought my previous good standing meant something turns out it doesn’t!”

“Unfortunately I left it too late to cancel. Budget were far more expensive than other companies don’t get anything for loyalty and took they an annual payment. Will be moving next year.”

“To be honest I am reluctant to give this company two stars as many other customers have mentioned they will take your money very quickly but if your due money back you have no chance. My wife had a car insured with them, she sold the car and asked for a refund on the insurance paid out, first they changed a £60 admin fee for this service then they said they would transfer the £30 owing to our account, this didn’t happen, rang again cheque in the post didn’t happen, so last resort got in touch with the financial regulator. Sometimes you get what you pay for !!!!”

“£35 cancellation fee. After years of customer loyalty, I have to cancel as Budget doesn’t cover what I need. Now they will charge me to cancel their cover. Very greedy business policy. I won’t return. Or recommend.”

“This insurance company came in cheapest for me when i was searching online. But as the policy started i quickly regretted my decision. They made excuses about my previous no claims bonus 'not being enough proof' and slapped a charge on me! Their admin fees are disgustingly high, even though you are doing the work yourself online. Don't recommend and will not be insurancing with them next renewal”

“Beware of the small print. If your credit card details have changed since the initial policy and the policy "auto renews", if Budget cant take your payment, they sting you with a fee! Nice.”

“Insurance far too expensive. My car is worth £4.500 my payment every year is 14% of what it’s worth. If my car was 3 years old it would be cheaper.”

“Not particularly competitive, always have to ring to obtain a better cost when they should be providing best value and the best cost to start with nor do they show any loyalty to existing customers.”
