We renewed our insurance on the morning Monday 07/08/2017 and received an 2 e-mails at 15.00 on that day when I went into the portal it was our old documents not our new policy. I rang your office on 08/08/2017 and was told the new documents had not yet been produced and would be with us in the next 48 hrs. By Monday 14/08/2017 I rang again and the gentleman I spoke to said that he would re send them which he did when I then went into the portal there was policy details, letter from you and receipt for the payment but no policy documents so I rang again and spoke to a Lyndsey Shorrock who sorted it all out for us and was the most helpful of all of the staff I spoke to I can not praise her highly enough but feel that it was unacceptable that it took 3 phone calls and a week to get our policy documents.

1. Renewal quote was very high. Fortunately I had comparisons and was in a strong position to negotiate, but it left me feeling undervalued as a repeat customer. 2. The background noise in the call centre was so bad I could not hear the agent and he could not hear me. Made it very difficult to deal with you. (I had a completely different experience with Bennets).

I rang up about my renewal having looked on Compare the market for a cheaper quote. Your price online was very competitive. I spent about 20 minutes talking through my details with your adviser despite me being an existing customer. He explained you effectively sell one-year only contracts and don't hold data to automatically review. He then quoted me a price about £30 more than the figure I had online. When I told him that, he said you were always cheaper online and he couldn't match it. I did it online and will do so again in future. Can I suggest you point that out at the beginning of such conversations in future? My suggested script would be 'Hello, if you're calling expecting me to give you a price for renewing with us forget it and go straight to Compare the Market because it will be cheaper, quicker and less frustrating. My company policy prevents me from being of any additional benefit to you whatsoever. Thank you for your call.'

No renewal quote without me having to call you and go through all my details, although you have these details on file. Adviser was not clear during the call and spoke far to quickly. The annual premium increased more than 30% with reduced benefits (no ncb protection).

I phoned up to successfully renew my insurance, and then received 3 more text and emails over the next couple of days saying my insurance has elapsed and I was not insured!

I bought this policy because the premium was competitive and the terms acceptable, but the experience of buying it was tortuous. The person I spoke to on the 'phone insisted on reading from a script at 100 miles an hour in a monotone voice that was awful to listen to. I stopped her several times and explained that it was impossible to understand her or digest the information at the speed she was speaking at. She apologised then resumed at the same pace ! It was obvious that this was a call centre with performance targets based around how many calls were answered. The irony was that I had filled out an online form and was happy with the quote but felt I had to call because there was 1 question that was ambiguous relating to the alarm/immobiliser on my bike. For that i had to suffer 20 minutes of going through every damn question AGAIN despite the fact that the call handler could see my e-proposal. The call handler displayed no rapport, no intelligence and zero customer consideration.

You sent me a renewal price which was way more expensive than last year . You should reward people who are loyal to mce not try and rip us off . Eventually we come to a compromise so I am with you for another year . So give me the proper price in the 1st place ????

1. After many years with MCE the price went up by about 40%-45%. Expected an increase through some small changes but not by that amount for a valued customer!! 2. The young girl on the phone was "robotic" reading at 1 million words per second all that I could read on the T's & C's. She was totally and utterly boring with no personality, or charisma whatsoever. I did not feel like a valued customer at all. 3. Despite taking out cover for the next year - I SHALL NOT BE RENEWING WITH MCE next year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had been with MCE and changed bike with just over a month to go on my old policy - that was no problem - I paid the extra for it being a bigger bike.and the policy details were changed - I am not that good at checking emails on my phone - and was surprised that when I did check it there was an email from MCE telling me my insurance had expired - I didn't get it until 2 days after it had run out - meaning that I had been riding without insurance for 2 days! So - I contacted MCE to get a renewal quote - was tld a price - thought it was a bit expensive - so said I would let them know I looked on a well known price comparison website and guess what ? - the price for MCE same policy was 60 quid cheaper !! so I did it online. so I have to say I was disappointed with MCE's performance this time round.

I called them directly and they gave me a terrible deal. So I went to a price comparison site and MCE came out on top at almost half the price I was offered on the phone!

Several abortive attempts to contact by phone when renewal was required then had to endure an excruciating long & tedious phone call just to confirm that everything was exactly the same as last year to get a quote Phoned back a week later to accept the quote and make payment to renew insurance (tried to get through 3 x times but no answer) then had to go through the whole pantomime of the same questions yet again for the privilege of paying 30% more than last year! To summarise probably about an hour of my life wasted for no good reason, no wonder people drive around with no insurance!

Disappointed to receive a renewal note that was almost double what I was currently paying - despite the extra year of NCD. Further disappointed to find that I could get cover MUCH cheaper via Comparethemarket and it was still with MCE as well ! Even more disappointed that the MCE guy on the phone wouldn't match the online MCE quote - so I didn't renew over the phone, and did it online instead. Seems that the left and right hands aren't talking to each other !! The one good thing was that the online MCE quote was the cheapest for the cover that I wanted. Moral of the story - never renew without checking online first !!!

As an existing customer you would expect good service when renewing your policy. Not the case. After setting up my renewal, which i thought was excessively high, i went on "gocompare" to see if this was generally market value.I found a cheaper quote, by nearly £300, with you (MCE) !!! Called to voice my concern and basically had to cancel my policy then renew with the on line quote. To add insult to injury you tried to charge me £60 to cancel my policy then renew it with you again! Terrible customer service.
