“This company is rude and they will rip you if I insured my bike with them onley for the to cancel it 2 weeks later they told me I had to hand my years no claim in so I rang them telling them I was having trouble finding it the chap said I had a week to find it but the next day I got a email saying my insurance was cancelled but the next week still took a payment and then a week later took the full amount out of my bank so iv paid for a full year and got 2 weeks insurance and when I phoned up to speak to the I had a rude lady on the other end that had no interest in helping I advise no one to yours this company they will rip you of”

“I'm well pissed of with this company I insured a moped with this company and 2 weeks latter they cancelled my insurance due to me not finding my no claims evern though I rang them up the day before and expanded that I could not find it they said I had a week to find this the next day I got a email saying my insurance was cancelled but still took a payment a week latter then a mounth go by and they have taken out of my bank the full amount of the insurance so iv paid for a full years insurance and got 2 weeks insurance I would advise no one to go with this company evern trying to talk to them on the phone the lady was rude and would did not want to help in any way as long they are a con do not go with this company the will rob you”

“The worst motorcycle insurance company ever. Insured my bike, they then cancelled this policy after 4 weeks when they realised that the bikes were kept in a storage unit (double locked with CCTV and alarmed) half a mile from my house - cost of insurance £71, cost of cancellation £75. I also had a 3 bike policy on which I had given the address of the storage company taken out 11 months ago and they cancelled that as well - no refund. So at the stroke of a pen four bikes were uninsured. You cannot talk to them - they are not interested. They just take your money.”

“Having taken out comprehensive insurance which cost me a little over £80 my circumstances changed 16 day's later when i sold my bike, when i phoned to cancel my insurance i was charged £25 for the days that i had been insured and a £50 charge for canceling my policy plus another £5 so in total i basically paid out the amount that my original insurance cost for 12 months but only had the policy for 16 day's, that's a win win scenario for motorcycle direct and left me well out of pocket and on top of that i was told i had paid a fare price !!! Gutted, so if you are going to use motorcycle direct "Read The Small Print "”

“Terrible experience with this company. I moved from London to South Wales at which point they told me my insurance company (Europa Group) would no longer insure me unless my bike was garaged (it wasn't garaged in London) this wasn't an option. Consequently they cancelled my policy and charged me £75, they then said they would be happy to give me a new quote and policy which I didn't take and so glad I didn't as I later found out Europe Group and motorcycle direct and the same company. It was a complete scam!!!”

“After receiving a £575 renewal quote I searched the internet and managed to get fully comprehensive insurance for £250! I cancelled my policy paying the £25 fee and £11 for the 3 days covered before my cancellation, however Motorcycledirect had already taken my 1st monthly £57 ! 2 weeks have passed and im still waiting for this payment to be returned ?!?”

“had to give 1 star if i could leave negative five i would rang them up to change my bike over as my previous one broke down £50 admin charge for changing bike even though its pressing a couple of keys on a keyboard i asked why so mich an recieved a very anotty reply of "its standard policy to charge a customer this fee" then had the cheek to say we will automatically renew ya policy when its finished i said no ya wont not returning to you. ABSOLUTE DREADFUL COMPANY jmi or carole nash are better going to them in future”

“Do not trust this insurance company! Had my motorcycle insurance policy cancelled..( because they never received my proof of no claims) they tried to contact me by phone ONCE but because it went through to voicemail they never left a message (which they admit doing) and consequently cancelled my insurance.. apparently they say they also sent me a text, which I never received and could not find on my texts log. The matter is now with the insurance ombudsman.. who is quite surprised that they only tried to contact me once by phone. Gary Traviss”

“I insured my new ducati in april after 2 years on my Honda. both bikes were insured with motorcycle direct,i was informed yesterday that my new bike hasn't been insured since may as they cancelled my policy because they didn't have proof of my no claims even though it was with the same company.£75.00 to cancel,the policy and i was notified by email but I couldn't open documents as error occurred.£57.00 refunded but cant tell me which card it was on.if I treated my customer like ie not knowing their history I would have complaints about their cars galore.a shocking experience never to be repeated.”

“I had insurance for a year, it cost me 65.80. It was automatically renewed at £91.35. No claims or changes in circumstances. This is a 38% increase because I am a returning customer! For some reason, the word "Predator," springs to mind.”

“ABSOLUTE CON OF A COMPANY *****DO NOT USE**** I insured my 650 bandit for £72 and after 2 weeks bought a Yamaha xj6 although showing on go compare motorcycle direct wanted £92 for this bike per year when I phoned to upgrade they said they were unable to insure this bike. ABSOLUTE RUBBISH !!! THEY ARE AT IT!! they then then said It would either cost me an additional £105 to upgrade my insurance to a premium of £138- the refund of 33 from my current premium which was 2 weeks short of a full year or a £75 cancellation charge. I TOOK THE NEW PREMIUM AND BECAUSE THERE IS A 2 WEEK COOLING OFF PERIOD TOOK A FULL REFUND AND BOYCOTTED THE COMPANY FOR LIFE. PLEASE DO THE SAME.”

“Paid initial premium of £85 comp. after 4 weeks i changed to the same make of bike and was charged £90...which included a £50 admin fee. I explained that this was expensive. When i asked for cancellation charge they asked for £75 ... absolute con company Will never recommend them in fact i will advise all my friends to avoid these crooks at all cost...i will be contacting the appropriate authorities regarding this company.. and needless to say i will never use these again!”

“Wanted to change bike details, similar performance, Emailed and answer was they would respond within 5 days. Too long so I phoned. £225 more, then dropped to £50 more. Said they would have to get sales dept to call. I agreed. No call so searched for alternative and found bennetts for £77 for the year. Emailed MD to cancel immediately, no response, 3 days later they took direct debit payment and now want £75 to cancel. Whats the £75 for? Pressing 2 buttons on a keyboard???? Absolute rip off company. Avoid at all costs. Customer service is shocking.”

“renewed my policy without my consent, always tell them when booking not to, rang them when I got back of holiday after being insured for ten days to cancel, wanted a fee so said just leave it in place, then cancelled it without a single email or phone call 3days later,rang them to see where my certificate is another 3weeks later that's when they told me it was cancelled, said because i did not tell them about a incident, why did they not ask when I tried to cancel it myself, said I was in wrong, der I never asked them to insure me in the first place, my insurance was 114pounds and they gave me 47 pounds back they had only insured me for 13 days,totally disgusted in them. never again, there name is mud to me, hope I see there stand at bike rallies and events, will stand with them telling everybody they not for bikers”
