“Dishes arrived months late with defect. Made in china!!”

“I really have fallen in love with Gudruns’s designs. Most are very casual and comfy, but depending on accessories could be worn for any occasion. I find that many have interesting or intricate stitching details, and are obviously well made. There are a couple of items that are very thin and see-through, but on most I find I am surprised by how substantial the material is, the fabric patterns are lovely, and the clothing is fun to layer with different designs and colors. I have washed some of the pieces many times, but in all I have found no dye transfer and nothing close to “falling apart”. The catalogues and website are beautiful to look at, and there are a lot of extra pages with neat craft ideas using Gudrun designs and fabrics. But, I can use up a lot of time just looking at the products: clothes and accessories, curtains, rugs and pillows, and a whole lot more. The items seem pricey but I routinely scan the sale pages where I have found better prices on the clothes and great prices on accessory items like tights and leggings, socks, great scarves, and I found a beautiful handmade belt at a fraction of the original cost. I have also bought clothes on eBay and I’m sure there are other online sites. By and large I have been happy with my purchases, and for now I enjoy just browsing the products.”

“I've been shopping with Gudrun from their online store in Germany for 7 years now and any problems I had were always successfully resolved. Have also enjoyed visiting the actual stores in Stockholm, London, and NY, before the pandemic, obviously. Most of their clothes are a very good, reliable quality; it's disappointing to read of dissatisfied customers... but it's always easy to return things to them, at least to the German store. I find their sweaters and cardigans to be first-class, and the trousers really comfortable and flattering. Less convinced by all the jersey items, which I avoid, except for the tights, which are really good and don't squeeze your waist. Gudrun has definitely improved my wardrobe and sense of comfort and style in my clothes. Worth every penny. Good sales and bonuses too.”

“I have now bought quite a few Gudrun Sjoden pieces and have been very happy with them. Very easy to style and lots of lovely cottons. I am very surprised by how quickly the orders arrive and the return system (once I understood that I have to ring the UPS service) is easy. I feel confident that should I order an item in the wrong size or should the item not suit mey shape and style (this has only happened once) I can quickly return it for a full refund. Delighted,”

“I was very disappointed by the quality of the products. On top of it, the return takes up to 4 - 6 weeks. The information about this wasn't available when I ordered the items. Again a very disappointing experience.”

“I was very disappointed as the cotton is so thin, rough on the skin and see through. It is too expensive for the bad quality. The only thing I like is the color and shape. Color is like the photos. I really hope they improve their fabric quality, I would buy more more. And if the quality becames good I would love a petite line of clothing, for us petite women.”

“I had ordered only tights from this company before, just to - you know - check them out. I was very happy with the tights, so went on to order a dress. My "June Dress" just arrived today (eight days after I placed the order) and so far, I love it. The cotton fabric is soft, hangs beautifully, and is a perfect weight (neither too heavy nor too light) for summer. I quickly changed into it and the fit is perfect, an L for me, gives me room to move and be comfy. We'll see how it wears, but it appears to be well made. So far, so good. I plan to order from Gudren again.”

“Ik ben zeer tevreden met de trui en het T shirt dat ik besteld heb en die heel snel geleverd werden. Het enige probleem was dat ik niet als clublid herkent werd maar na contact met de klantenservice werd dat opgelost.”

“I placed my first order, it took almost a month to get in the US, but arrived well packaged. I bought all accessories and am impressed with the overall quality and style - the belt I bought is beautiful. I really love the rich colors and how it is so easy to mix and match colors, patterns and the different styles to create my outfit, or I can follow close to those modeled. The information about fabrics and the items is really generous, the pictures really beautiful. The prices are comparable to other companies that use sustainable methods.”

“As a regular customer I am very very disappointed about the quality of an item I recently bought. It concerns a very nice woollen cardigan that I bought for Xmas. Today I hand washed it very gently and to my astonishment the colour used was not properly fixed. As visible in the photo's the red colour has run into the creme background and completely ruined the cardigan. I am not happy at all as the price you pay for the clothes is high. “I was sent a £55 voucher which expired 31-12-2020. Towards the end of 2020, I tried to use it and even after reading FAQ I could not figure out how to use it. I did not think to ring the 0800 customer service number, as on the website it stated there were problems with the number. The voucher then expired. I finally rang customer services in January, 2021 only to be told that it was too late and they would not issue me with another voucher. I have spent lots of money on their clothes over the years and I feel very upset that they wouldn't issue me with another voucher and talk me through how to use it.”

“I bought a red petticoat, and it's so thin I doubt itll last long. It's made from 4 panels so it doesn't have much swing. I bought it because I had bought one of Gudrun's p[etticoats about 10 years ago and loved it. The fabric of the new one is woefully lacking in quality, no comparison. I also bougth a dress to go with it. Again, the material is really thin, flimsy. The quality of Gudrun clothing has fallen sharply and badly. And, for the huge upmarket prices they really should be better wuality. I'm afraid I shan't be bothering to buy from them again. It's a shame because I love the colours and quirkiness, but the quality of the fabrics used does not match up to the image of the product.”

“Appalling delay in dispatch of sale goods. Payment taken and fast dispatch promised, but waiting now for more than 2weeks for delivery. Customer services giving vastly different excuses for the delay. They simply cannot cope with the volume of orders. I have spent thousands of pounds with this company, but I will not be ordering again unless they sort out their delivery problems.”

“I'm a repeat customer and LOVE this brand. Shipping is usually very quick from Sweden to the U.S. Fit is mostly consistent, with a little variation in size for different styles of pants. Woven cotton fabrics are very lightweight, which is perfect for me. The clothes are meant to be layered, so they are quite thin. The prints and colors are just gorgeous. Returns are very easy, and free if you are exchanging an item. It does NOT take long to receive credit, either; not sure why some customers report problems, but I've had very good service. Also note that most items will go on sale at least a couple of times per season. I can't address the tights and knits, as I have not bought those.”

“Je reçois pour la deuxième fois un colis que je n’ai jamais commandé.En plein confinement, j’étais allée à la poste pour renvoyer le premier en payant les frais de port, que j’ai dû réclamer en remboursement au moins trois fois par mail pour être remboursée plusieurs semaines plus tard sans aucun geste commercial de leur part. Et à nouveau une commande que je n’ai pas faite qui arrive. On me demande de renvoyer le colis, on m’explique que j’ai changé mes numéros de clientes et que ça correspond aussi à une autre cliente... ( rassurant quant à leur système informatique et la gestion de leurs données de clients...). On me propose un geste de 10CHF sur mon compte, quand on connaît le prix élevé de leurs articles..., bref... et pas la peine d’essayer de les joindre, ils ne répondent pas. Je vais aller déposer le paquet chez la personne à qui il était initialement destiné mais c’en est fini pour moi de Gudrunsjoeden. Et si ils avaient pris la peine de répondre à mes mails ou appels téléphoniques, je n’en serais peut-être pas arrivée là.”

“Some clothing is spectacular in design and fabric, and is well-made. Love the whimsy. Other is vastly over-priced for what it is. You really have to be careful. The website is awful - and the customer service also vastly mixed. I try now to buy the clothing second-hand. Saves money, easier to manage currencies and shipping locations, and no having to deal with their staff.”
