Bought a bike 2 weeks ago, used it 3 times, absolutely perfect. However my pedal fell off on a busy road, went to halfords today, there charging me half the amount of the bike itself to replace a part of it.

Do not buy a Xiaomi scooter from Halfords - they are unsuitable for the English winters. I have previously had good experiences with Halfords, which is why I chose them to buy my first electric scooter from them. They provided a 2 year warranty against the product (which retailed at £469). However, in less than 6 months the product has stopped working and when returned for repair I have been advised that it will cost £285 to fix because 'the damp and condensation in your area can produce condensation in the battery resulting in liquid damage' which is apparently not covered. I tried to write a review of the product on the site but they will not let me do this so this is the only way I have of sharing my poor experience to avoid others making the same costly mistake. Very disappointed by: 1. poor information regarding product limitations prior to purchase 2. bad customer service experience regarding product fault 3. review censorship - all information is accurate and as quoted by Halfords so not publishing negative reviews misleads future customers regarding product performance and limitations I certainly wish I'd been made aware of its unsuitability to the English winter before wasting £469.

absolute wasted of time booking screen repair service they don’t want to guarantee their work and you have to sign a waiver In case anything goes wrong if it’s cold and dark they make excuses so they don’t have to carry out the work don’t waste your time with this company i can’t see this company lasting more than five more years with a push Going to Autoglass to repair chip in windscreen Such a bad service

I visited the store yesterday to buy a jump starter pack I bought on click and collect. It wasnt cheap at nearly £100 but I like Halfords as company and have the used the shop many times every year. Everything was fine until I got home and opened the box to find there are no instructions or lead to charge the battery pack. I went back to the store and asked if they could change it for another one or even just supply a lead to charge it which they sell according to the assistant. Unfortunately they had no more in stock and couldn't order one in from another shop or depot. The assistant spoke to the manager who wasn't really interested and seemed to suggest I take it back home without a lead and instructions or accept a refund. I couldn't really hear the conversation as they were talking over their Bluetooth ear pieces but that was gist of it according to assistant. By this time I had been in the store for 45 mins and said ok I give up just give me a refund then. I had paid via paypal and was told that the credit would go back to paypal then into my linked bank account, yes thats fine I said. The assistant had to speak to the manager to get code for the till and was going well until he said put your card in the machine, I didn't have my wallet as I didn't really want a refund, just a lead to charge my fancy jump starter pack. I asked could he not as he previously had said just credit paypal back, the answer was no. I was told I would have to go home and make a third journey to the store to get a refund and he shrugged his shoulders that's it. Not happy and wont be using the Chelmsford store again, all this could have been resolved by simply supplying a lead they sell anyway for a few pounds and if I had my wallet I would have bought one. Poor service and attitude by the Manager and a very disappointed customer who had only ever had good experiences with the firm

I would strongly recommend going elsewhere should you be looking to replace your ‘weak’ car battery, Halfords Autocentre disconnected my battery without backing up the power to the electronics and guess what the car did not restart. So basically their people started my car drove it into their Autocentre and were unable to drive it out. Halfords Customer Services are completely not willing to accept any responsibility and was their hands of the individual consumer, they do not care and certainly customer satisfaction is something they are not interested in. I would avoid them again and not let them near a car. I may take my bike to them for a service as this is the level I’d trust them with anything mechanical. AVOID new battery purchases from Halfords and go elsewhere there are cheaper and less expensive alternatives with better customer service.

Please be aware that when ordering click and collect Halfords ignores the customer store preference and decides where the customerhoukf collect. Customer 'poor' Service Tesm are extremely unhelpful to say the very least and so uninterested nonchalant and rude. They will nog transfer hou to a manager and cut the call repeatedly. I woud avoid Halfords at all costs. Their store ethos is based on a purely arrogant take the money attitude when they clearly make a mistake they are not in the slightest way helpful in trying yo resolve the issue.

So my first bike built by the halfords "experts" was brought out with two buckled wheels and I was told I can get it sorted the following week.. I hadn't even ridden my vengeance yet and it was broken. After the period the axle had become bent and they decided to give me a new bike. When I got the bike the wheels were ok, I had to straighten the handlebars and seat, but everything else seemed ok. I just wish I'd checked something very fundamental and safety critical.. that the wheels were tightened and werent likely to fall off.. which they did. Twisted my ankle but managed to get the bike back. Hopefully halfords in Cambridge will take it as a lesson to teach their "experts" how to build a bike before it puts somebody in serious danger.

I ordered a battery for my car online and it was sent to the wrong branch! Newport Wales and not Newport Isle of Wight where I live. I had an appointment confirmation and went to get it fitted only to be told I was at the wrong branch, I feel they should have questioned me wanting to drive from Isle of Wight to Wales and using a ferry during a pandemic when the order was placed. I do however, also take responsibility for not confirming this myself. However, on arrival at the Newport, isle of wight branch I was greeted by a man called Kev. He was extremely helpful in resolving the situation and obtaining a new battery for me and fitting it, his while manner and approach was brilliant. A very bit thank you to KEV in the NEWPORT, ISLE OF WIGHT BRANCH.

I went to halfords Plymouth for a spline socket for my brakes on my car that was in pieces.I asked a very kind man called Phil about the socket and he couldn't have helped any more than he did.I left with the socket and completed the job but could not have done it without the help of Phil .on the back of that I won't hesitate to go back and wish there where more helpful people like Phil. Stands out a mile and halfords lucky to have a employee like him.

I visited the branch for a wheel alignment following new parts being fitted to my car. I dropped off the car on 27th November for my appointment. I was told it would be a while. That while turned into 3.5 hrs later. When I arrived the "manager Jordan" told me that I had fitted the track rod ends, which is impossible for my model car. And the technician had to do it twice. The first time it was pulling to the right and now it pulls to the left. When confronted Jordan said "these jobs are more hassle than they are worth" and that's the best they could do. With my car pulling to the left and my steering wheel being off center be approximately 15 degrees to the left. Then I suggested to the other "manager" to take a test drive. He jumped in my car without sanitising his hands and not wearing a mask. He did a lap around Morrisons supermarket car park and declared it "perfect" Then left without sanitising my car. It's also noted that my dash cam was switched off by the technician, but unfortunately for him, I have a GPS tracker fitted to my vehicle. Which also showed he was speeding in my car. I made a complaint to Halfords and I spoke with a very arrogant regional manager, who accused me of blackmail. This was because I explained that I would be leaving appropriate reviews based on the service I received. He was also accusing me of recording the conversation in the shop with permission. This is untrue, as an individual person and not a business, I am allowed to record conversations under the Telecommunications Act 2003. The whole place and alleged managers are next to useless. And feed you jargon thinking it will fob you off. Well unfortunately for them I'm a ted served mechanic with over 20 years experience. So it didn't wash with me at all. I then got a reply nearly 2 months later from Halfords offering a refund for the alignment. But no mention of the other issues of Covid breaches and speeding etc. Seriously, save a lot of hassle and heartache by using anyone else but these liars for you repairs. And they have the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!

Ordered online, an expensive battery to be fitted to my Audi, I am now waiting over three weeks for the battery to be delivered to the store! They sold me a battery they did not have in stock! Absolutely no customer service, having spoken on live chat I was to have an update the following day by email or from a member of staff, neither happened! No staff at the store able to update or find out when I might expect to receive the battery I paid for three weeks ago! Not able to refund, I get the clear impression they they just don’t care! Better to stick with smaller more efficient local companies, Halfords just to big and no longer care. I was willing to pay the inflated price as I needed it quickly, please be very careful when buying from this company (Halfords, Belfast)

Dropped by car off at 8am was told wouldn't be ready til 5.30,we did explain we had a 2 hours bus journey to and fro, then at 10am was told it was ready just as we got home😬😬😬it's a GREAT SHAME halfords didn't have the customer service skills to at least have given us a estimated time of pick up,what a right old carry on..then we had to wait for 11 days to get the appointment as NHS workers get priority and my husband's only a non important bus driver, who btw drive the nhs and key workers to work and works with the elderly and vulnerable providing an obviously unusefull service,.the manager Andrew at the Durham branch was soo sarcastic,he said they were cheaper than Mercedes but trust me at least Mercedes customers are treated with respect, thoughtfulness and understanding, they would have had a brain that could have estimated time of work!THANKS HALFORDS DURHAM, will NOT be returning or recommending

Bought a dash & rear cam & paid extra for it to be fitted. Waited weeks for a fitting slot. On fitting the hardware was faulty. New hardware ordered. Waited weeks again for fitting. Unfortunately, the wiring done by the Halfords fitter had been wrapped round the airbag, thus possibly preventing the airbag deploying if need be. How dangerous is that! And wrong parts re ordered. Wasted weeks of waiting, hours for fitting. Plymouth (Longbridge) branch manager wasn’t interested. In the end, I demanded that they pulled all wiring out & give me a full refund. They shouldn’t offer fitting if they can’t do it safely. If you have had a dash cam fitted by Plymouth (Longbridge) I suggest for your future safety, to get it checked!
