I recently bought a mountain bike from Halfords through the cycle to work scheme and cannot believe how easy and fast it all was , very friendly professional staff who helped me choose a bike and now I am enjoying the freedom and fun it has given me

Complete battery failure diagnosed 6.30pm - telephone call to local Halfords confirmed appropriate replacement in stock. Breakdown recovery delivered vehicle to store . Friendly staff fitted new battery and car back on the road by 8pm (closing time). Emergency over!

After I got new tyres I went to halfords brighton for wheels alignment , suppose to be ready at 9 am and waited until 3pm and when they "finished" they give me only the bill , no details about what they found and correct ( like kwick fit) Now 6 months later I need to change my tyres again as only the edge from front tyres is finished. Very Disappointed

Bought a bike via cycle to work. Telephoned Halfords to arrange collection. They couldn’t find the bike in their Stirling store. Telephoned the 3rd party supplier (that was our job apparently)- it had been dispatched more than a week before. Telephoned Halfords Stirling – they searched the warehouse and found the bike. We went in to pick it up. They said we couldn’t pick it up as it had not been built. We pointed out that all it needed was to have the pedals fitted. They said they had to carry out a 20 point safety check and they were too busy to do it. We said ok we’ll pick it up tomorrow. They said next opportunity would 5 days away but they might be able to squeeze it in if we came back just before closing. I said well in that case if you can squeeze it in today we can pick it up tomorrow . They said if you aren’t going to pick it up today we aren’t going to build it today. This was said apparently without irony. I general have had good experiences at Halfords but I think this particular young woman needs retraining

They will get you ANY part for your bike. Quick fix or complete rebuild - try them!

Disappointed at the level of parts available to purchase from service desk. Went in looking for brake calipers for my car, not only was I told they don't carry them, never carried them, and couldn't order them but I was also told it's company policy to not provide any other location to purchase them from. I'm not sure what happened to customer service, but Halfords will be my last choice for finding anything from this moment forward.

Booked the MOT with Leeds garage, had a phone call the day I should arrive saying that most of the staff is on sick and won't be able to do it. Re-booked for another time. Arrived and was told that they won't be able because the garage was burgled. I'm self employed and lost 4 hours of work. Nobody rang me to let me know. It was 4pm when I left Halfords and had 1 hour to find another garage to do MOT otherwise would be left without a car and loose more work hours due to not being able to drive to work. Refund has been issued but the customer care didn't care that I've lost working hours due to lack of communication. Offered 25% off next MOT (£7.25) where I've lost £100!!! Also what I found out that when you book an MOT online you have to pay in advance but it doesn't mean you are their customer. In their T&C there is a clause that you are their customer after they do a service, but until then they don't care. But you've paid for the services!! Also, when you want to cancel the appointment you are charged £10 admin fee, but if they cancel it, well they don't take responsibility. Poor service. Never again.

Awful awful awful. I had two awful encounters with Halfords garage in Soutfields. Once, they kept my car for 2 days, charged me £50 and not only they couldn't diagnose the problem causing the noise, but actually made the noise worse. Another time, I had booked an MOT online two weeks in advance, only to go there and being told "everyone is on holiday we can't do the MOT" (and obviously nobody had bothered to at least have the decency to call me).

Amazing service at Halfords Bromley. I ordered a bike for my sons birthday online to be collected from store. Originally it said it would be in store by tuesday then after confirming it moved to Thursday, this was an issue as I needed it Wednesday morning for my sons birthday. I called the store and they were so helpful, they changed the details in the system so that it would be ready for Tuesday, when I went to collect it wasn't ready, but the guy(wish I could remember his name!) was so helpful and apologetic, he said it would be ready before closing and even offered to personally deliver to me that evening! I had a very happy 5 year old batman. Thank you!!

I bought a charger from the store instead of a car battery. The man (Noel) by name from high wycombe store attended to me with utmost professionalism and pleasantly too.

Halfords didn't make me they ripped me of paid for diagnostic on my car paid £50 for no report and no print out of report if you are going for a diagnostic STOP stand outside and tears the £50 up you won't get no joy but at least you haven't given it to them.

I got a great deal on the professional range 200 piece socket set. It has a lifetime replacement guarantee. Also looks sweet in black. The biggest reason for adding this review was the absolutely fantastic in-store service I received. Great knowledge and extremely helpful staff.

socket set ordered 9th June not in store for collection until 15th June Halfords cancelled order 8.22am on the 19th June. Not 14 days as stated by Michael customer service adviser. The reason it was cancelled given as out of stock. Items sold since 964.(out of stock at original price of £20.00 but they were happy to sell me one at a greatly increased price of £25.00 now the 24th July 46 days and 21 emails later, I have still not had a honest reply to any of my queries, I am at a loss as how Halfords can continue to operate such an abysmal service and no one is accountable.
