I recently purchased a sewing machine from Hobbycraft in Sheffield and would like to let other people know how helpful the staff were. Not only help with choosing the right machine for my needs, but the assistant who went well above and beyond, by actually delivered it to my home after work that evening. I can't thank you enough, you know who you are with your long flowing locks. Thank you.

I came into the shop with my 16 year old daughter desperate for help because my daughter’s prom dress was glued together by a professional. A young man who was helping us at the beginning but he soon recommended Helen to us. Helen from start to finish Helen was absolutely superb. She helped my daughter fix the dress, she was helpful, very kind, good customer service. Helen went above the call of duty and for that I am eternally grateful.

Ordered 2 Jubilee Happy and Glorious fat quarter packs along with another pack as part of the 3 for £21, for Click and Collect at the Newport store. Received email to say it was ready to collect. Went to collect order and they brought different fabric as they couldn’t find the Jubilee fabric, staff thought it had been stolen even though it had shown as available when I ordered. Personally I think that it was sold to someone else as all the fabric has hidden security tags so they’d know if someone tried to steal it. Staff were not very helpful and weren’t happy to refund as it meant phoning customer services as payment was via PayPal. Complained to customer services and they offered me a £5 voucher which expires in 2 weeks and is of little use to me as I won’t be shopping there again.

I have had the most wonderful experience in Hobby Craft, the service I can only describe as outstanding, I would like to thank Alice, Leonardo and angel for all their help and expertise on the purchase of my Cricut machine. I would recommend this store for staff friendliness and making you feel that you can achieve anything! Barbara

My son had a lovely morning making sock puppets with Kristel at the Crawley store. She was friendly, encouraging and even lent an extra hand as I had my baby with me also. He was very proud of his puppets and wore them on his hands all morning! Great workshop, we will be back, thank you.

I booked an Easter Bonnet Workshop at the Bournemouth store but the day before my grand daughter tested positive for COVID. I contacted the store and cancelled and was told to call customer services and explain this to them. Without hesitation I was offered a refund (which I didn’t expect as it was so close to the workshop date) Thank you so much to both team members. Amazing customer service.

The thing that killed this purchase was the delivery option vasty over priced and extremely slow. I would expect a company of this size to have next day delivery as standard. Unfortunately I will be buying from Amazon in the future.

My daughter picked this puppet dog out of clearance shelf with no price tag on it and as I pay I find out this thingy costs £18 !!! I mean not that I want to return it since she loves him but £18 ? Wow. I understand comparing is silly but you can get 5 of these or an electronic puppy for less than that from elsewhere. Won't be back with a child,, but by myself :) all the other purchases were fantastic and great deals 👍

I've been to lots of Hobbycraft stores, and have never been disappointed. Staff are always knowledgeable, friendly and enthusiastic, and the range of items in stock is terrific.

I went into the Inverness store today and couldn't find the item I was looking for but I did find another item I needed. I mentioned to Graham who served me at the till and he assured me we did have the item needed in store so we went and had a look together. We found what was needed and went back to the till and I paid for my items. He was friendly, efficient and we had a wee bit of banter too about customer service in general. I live in Elgin and Inverness is my nearest branch so I appreciated that he took the time to help and had a friendly manner too. All in all a great customer experience.

Ordered 2 items last week which were due for delivery on the Friday. After opening the box I realised an item was missing. Contacted customer service to state this and to request the missing item to be sent out ASAP as it was needed on the weekend. Received a response showing a picture of 1 parcel being on the doorstep from hobbycraft and the customer service assistant stated "hope this helps you locate your order". I responded again reiterating that 1 item was received and 1 item was missing and therefore was not delivered. Then received an email this morning simply saying "Apologies." and that the item was out of stock so a refund had been issued. Regardless of stock issues the first customer assistants response was quite rude and he had clearly not read my message properly which shows a lack of care. Will not be ordering online again.

looked at web page sewing machine wanted said instock in store, 60 round trip not in store, still says it is next day. so ordered online next day delivery that not happened also. tried click collect 1hr to next day told by customer service could cancel prior order to do this also if not in store which still says is but not would have to come from warehouse if in stock which says it is. all very misleading. customer service said in store means if in stock in warehouse, click collect the same happens and next day delivery the same but does not say this on web page so total gamble if they have the product anywhere. gave one star as only way could write this. try shop and support local, amazon looking way forward for all future purchases. customer services said maybe delivered now on monday was ordered friday so next day delivery means the day after the day it may arrive if have it in stock

Click and collect worked well..until I picked up my item that was a gift and it had a dirty great security sticker right on the front that will not come off without tearing the packaging..I know it's only the box but it looks rubbish to give someone a tatty pressie...epic fail hobbycraft!

Placed an order for goods and requested a delivery address different from billing address which clearly states you can do on their order form. Hobbycraft sent part of the order to billing address and part to the requested delivery address. This has caused me undress stress and costs me money. I spoke to customer service about this and explained the situation. At the time they agreed to refund the associated mailing costs. Unfortunately the have gone back on their word and just keep closing the case, no matter how times I contact them. Their customer service is disgusting, they are totally ignoring the fact that it is their error. They are the ones who delivered the parcel incorrectly which cost me £21.13 for the private mailing company I use to forward on the item of mail. I live aboard so I do not have any parcels delivered to my billing address as they take 3 months plus to get to me. Also, there is all import charges for any parcel that enters customs. Customer service keep closing the case saying it’s resolved. I can tell you now it is certainly NOT resolved, there is still the reimbursement of my mail costs to be addressed. Hobbycraft customer service staff need educating on how private mailing companies work. This review and complaint needs to be referred to Katherine Paterson, Customer Director

I must admit I was very apprehensive about ordering from this company after reading the reviews, however I did place an order and, as promised, it was delivered the next day. It is perfect and just what I wanted I have no complaints

I placed an order as an international customer with Hobby crafts and paid directly via the hobby crafts site. The order was charged for the items as well as the international courier fee which was also paid for. However when the packages arrived in my destinations country, when checking almost 90 items from the order were missing. When the order was dispatched there had been no indication stating a refund or a back order of the missing items. Sadly when the package arrived the duty was changed on all the items orders which is also loss. When checking on this with Hobby Crafts customer care they just kept say sorry send an email or send an inquiry through contact us inquiry and they will get back.. Which to date there has been no response at all despite it being more than 48hrs. When called to complain of this the hobby craft representatives they just said sorry it handled by GlobalE and we cant help you with that.. Its rather ridicules to get a response as such for me as a customer, I do place my order direct with hobbycraft.co.uk and not through some third part website. Hence the responsibility of my or if at all any order placed by a customer should be the responsibility of hobbycraft.co.uk. Its a rather discussing feeling to experience as an international customer where over GBP 331.00 worth of products (90 items to be precise) just go missing from a paid order and not to even have a response back. Which is left to believe that the so called partner GlobalE is either a fraud or a scam which stealing money from genuine customers. Definitely wouldn’t recommend hobbycraft.co.uk for international customers. Unless you want to be cheated on.
