I have rented out many cars before in the past with various car companies and car suppliers. However this company is completely terrible to work with if you have to make any changes to your reservation. Their customer service representatives are very kind and very polite however their policies do not make sense. I have called the company 4 times to change my reservation time in order to pick up and drop off the car 3 hours earlier. (Still renting the car in a 24 hour window). I called Holiday Autos 1 day after making the reservation. They said the cost for changing the time of my reservation would be $0.24, which was great. However Holiday Autos informed that my bank was blocking the payment. Each time I called my bank, they informed me that the Holiday Autos did not even attempt to take a payment and that my card was working perfectly. When I called Holiday Autos a 5th time they told me the cost to make the change would be $250 based on the supplier rates and there was nothing they could do. When I called the supplier (Nu car rental) they informed me that its very easy to make a change in the pick up time and drop off time and there would be no additional charge. However Nu Car rental was not able to make the change because Holiday Autos was blocking their access to do this. I've wasted so much time on the phone with both of these companies, I've been charged so many international minutes for calling these companies and my issue is not resolved. As long as everything goes correctly with your reservation, they are fine to work with, otherwise it is a nightmare.

I'd stay away if I was you. If I can give 0 stars I swear I would. I made a reservation and paid for it, they said it didn't go thru and to use a different card. After using different card I had my reservation booked. Both of my cards got charged and when I told them about it they said email here, email there. And not one person was able to help me. I probably emailed 50 times becuse, 650 dollars is 650 dollars. When I got to my destination, the company they had me go to said, there's no car for me at all. So I was 6000 miles away and didn't even have a reservation I paid for TWICE. Can you imagine being in a totally different country in the middle of the airport and not even get the car that you paid for twice. I was furious and I'd recommend anyone trying to get a rental car, just stay away and you can thank me later.

The information i have been given after completed my booking state there would be no charges at the desk. through the website i have paid for a insurance cover on the airport i have been told that i have to paid 95 euro for another insurance cover or i can chose option 1100 euro deposit for a car also i have been told that insurance what i have already paid does not cover any damages where on the website clearly says what is cover. I have chosen option full to full but at the desk staff charged me another 95 euro for a petrol which would be refunded after return the car to the airport. I had live chat with staff of the holiday autos and to get just the email address to contact customer service that person asked me so many question, being awkward about it.

the information I have been given after completed my booking on their website state that I wont be charge at the desk when arrive at the airport and in the end I had to pay for a second car insurance 93 euro. I have already paid one time through the website 35 euro. I have chosen full to full option but at the desk staff said i have to pay 95 euro deposit for a petrol which will be refunded after return the rental car. then when i asked on the official website for a email address so i can contact customer service and make a complain, someone on the live chat asked for all the details of my booking all of this just for a email address?? I dont want give one star for this rental company but I cant leave 0 which is very shame.

If I could give a zero I would, do not go anywhere near this company! They are terrible, and do not book with Goldcar either! The customer service was shocking and very rude! They would not give us our vehicle as my wife left in a transfer with our family and had the passport with her a simple mistake which we were willing to resolve quickly, we offered to send a picture and even offered to come back with the passport at our cost, but as we did not collect the vehicle at the time on the booking we were told that we couldn't have it even though we had paid for it! Subsequently it cost us an extra 410 euros as we had to pay for a taxi to marbella and hire another car! Disgusting service!

Not told by Holiday Autos when I made my booking that Firefly would add a senior driver charge which exceeded the rental cost . Had no option but to accept this when I picked up the car. I regard this practice as dishonest and underhand so will never use this lot again and would advise others to beware of them. On top of this the car was covered in dents and in a bad, dirty state. Companies like this know that you are on holiday and dependent on them so can rip you off. Despicable.

I wouldnt even give them 1* review! The booking process was simple enough. However, we arrived in Valencia after a very early morning flight with two young kids, exhausted. When we got to the rental desk, they didn't have our reservation. After -5 minutes the desk clerk (i must add that the Alamo staff are so friendly and helpful), realised that our reservation had been made to collect our car from the train station in the centre of Valencia. We had booked for Valencia airport, and knew we hadn't made a mistake, and even proved this by going on the holiday autos website and went through the steps to make a new booking, and the train station doesn't even come up as an option, so how could we have booked it. They had no automatic cars there that could fit us all in with our luggage. After an hour of the airport staff talking to the train station staff, we were told that we had to travel there to collect our car, which was a 20 minute drive. Luckily the staff arranged a lift in two cars, from their friends who drove us and our luggage there. When we arrived the staff were amazing and so helpful, but the only car they had for us was a Qashqai, which we gave at home and know we cannot safely fit everything in to. We had purposely chosen a more expensive class of car, to ensure it was big enough for our needs, and had even emailed Holiday Autos to confirm this after we booked. As there was no other option, we had to squeeze our two kids in between suitcases and drive with almost zero visibility for 40 minutes on motorways and winding roads, seriously unsafe and scary! I messages Holiday autos through the Resolver website, as i couldn't find any contacr for complaints for them online. After two days of emailing back and forth, they agreed to escalate the case with higher management and told me i would hear back from them. I have no returned from my holiday and hear nothing. I emailed again today only to be told my case had been closed, without them even bothering to apologise or compensate us.. When I objected and demanded they reopen the case, i was told that once higher management closed the case, that was it. I am shocked and to be honest disgusted that such a well known company can treat customers this way and get away with it. Don't touch them a with a barge pole, even if they offer the cheapest rate!!

Having rented cars in Canada for many years . This year we paid up front for a car through Holiday Autos in Canada. Over 1000 £ . My wife is the driver but our credit card is in my name and so Hertz would not release the car which has never happened before. Holiday Autos then refused to return any of the money despite the fact that they had to pay nothing to Hertz because no car was actually rented. Holiday Autos will screw you on the small print and keep your money for doing nothing. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

This company does not deserve even a 1 star rating. My husband has never taken out additional insurance in over 40 years but this company said we agreed to it and overcharged us by 4 times the agreed amount. When my husband questioned them they said it would be refunded on our return with a full tank of petrol. This has never been done and you cannot speak to anyone to complain. Never go with them again. Carole and Robert Booty - still waiting for refund . If this isn’t forthcoming Facebook will be our only option

Avoid Avoid Avoid!!! Both Holiday auto's and Inter Rent like the plague, they have terrible service when you pick up and even the worst service when you call customer services. Note you only have 3 hours to pick up your car and if your flight is delayed and the rep isn't there to pick you up, you then stand the chance of like us losing you reserved car and needing to pay for an upgraded car... in our case and extra £350 - this is a con, just pay more and avoid these guys!

Booked a small car. Gave me totally different enormous car, unsuitable for the area. Tried to get a refund. Impossible task. No replies to email. Did live chats but these go nowhere. Website Manage Bookings to lodge complaint does not work. Customer service non-existence. Use this company at your peril!

I will never deal with this company again. Rented a car for a week pre paid because of a flight delay they gave car away but refused to refund my money so I had to hire another car plus insure new car, I am currently paying for a car I havnt actually got and insuring it !!!!!!!!! The people I have spoke to are rude and unhelpful would never recommend this company they are the worst !

VERY BAD COMPANY AVOID AT ALL COSTS. THIS COMPANY WILL RIP YOU OFF TAKE YOUR MONEY THEN AVOID ANY AFTER CARE. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. EASE GO ELSEWHERE AND SAVE YOURSELF LOTs OF HASSLE. THERE ARE PLENTY OF BETTER COMPANIES OUT THERE CHEAPER MORE RELIABLE FRIENDLIER AND LESS EXCESS PRICES AND COSTS.

Neil Xavier of Holiday Autos is an absolute disgrace. He was rude and condescending whilst dealing with my complaint. I will take the matter further directly with Holiday Autos, who are quite frankly fraudulent, but in the meantime, enjoy your minimum wage Neil...you deserve it.
