We have book a car with then and extra insurance they offer, this extra insurance is useless en even they say on condition is ok you will pay extra at the end normal price and more than 2 hours waiting to get the car. Do not book with them, contact agency directly. Even when u want to cancel is too late en refund not possible. Never will use this page again.

My partner had to travel to south africa urgently due to a family emergency. Whilst she was getting ready, i booked a car through their site on my credit card for collection the following day following her overnight flight. Only when i confirmed the payment you get a message saying that you need the credit card that was used to purchase the hire with. I partner took my credit card as well as all the other required documents including her own credit card as proof of ID. Well, i tried calling the customer services of holiday suto who was very poor in speaking english, did not listen or understand what i was saying. What could have been a simple five minute chat turned into a 15 minute row as you could not speak any clearer. The call center is based in the philippines, english not being one of their job descriptions to have a job there. I have now lost my money in dealing with these people. I will take it further. As i said, you get the must have warnings only after you book it. An error maybe but what the hell could be so difficult when my partner has all her own documents. i just paid for the car. What happens when a company books the car for an employee travelling on a company business card. The employee wont take the business card. Take advice and stay away from this website. Cheaper is not always best.

had to pay €100 for fuel which is refundable and €200 for insurance and taxes Instead of €10 at airport that they said was owed and documents weren’t valid (insurance)

Don’t ever trust this company! We booked the car online and it was showing a decent price, although, when we arrived in Mallorca, they have taken much more money for it!! We had to pay 65 € and eventually we paid 170€!!!! They are liars, don’t ever book a car there!!!!

Completely useless bunch of crooks. They did not tell me proof of address was required to book, and because I don't walk around with printouts of my bank statements and utility bills on me, I was not able to hire the car. Complaints process is a joke - they keep emailing me links to make a complaint and they're all broken. Do not use this website.

I’m not able to get a refund and book another car WITH YOURSELVES!! when the hire company has an hour and a half wait time to collect the car due to so many people.

Got to the rental agency. They will not provide a car as the card I used to book the car is not accepted by them. Holiday Autos, who is the broker, says it's my problem, I should have checked of they accept this card before and they will not refund the payment. They basically stole 180$ - or are at least trying to.

Beginning of March, on holiday in Mexico, I booked a car with Holiday Autos with a drop-off agency different from the pick-up one. Holiday Autos being only an intermediary, the rental had to be done with the physical renter Avis. When booking, in addition to the price of the rental, transfer fees of the car from one agency to another were charged. Since the pick-up agency was on an island, and in order to be sure that I could take the rental car out of the island, I sent an email to Holiday Autos before the 24-hour cancellation period to be sure that I could do it. Holiday Autos answered that there was no problem taking the car out of the island. The day before, I called Avis (which I had a hard time getting in touch with) who confirmed that it was completely impossible to get the car out of the island since it was illegal. I sent back several emails to Holiday Autos asking them to join Avis to confirm or deny what they told me in their email. But no feedback from them at all! They did not even bother to contact the rental agency. So I asked for the cancellation of my reservation at no cost since not only did their system let me make an impossible and illegal reservation but also they assured me by mail that there was no problem when I still had the option to cancel the reservation for free. My request for no charge cancellation fees was completely ignored and they charged me an amount equal to the amount of the rental. Because of Holiday Autos, I lost a lot of money and my last week of vacation was completely ruined because I no longer had the car that would have allowed me to carry out the planned program. I had to travel by local bus, which forced me to completely review my program. So, without hesitation, do not rely on those thieves who think only to take your money without worrying about the consequences of their own mistakes!

I called Holiday Autos as I am 24 years old and to hire a car in Ireland you are classed as a young driver so an additional price is added, therefore, talking to someone over the phone should have made this easier. The man I spoke with on the phone was very helpful although very hard to understand on the phone which made it a very lengthy 45-minute phone call and the company he recommended and that I ultimately booked through was a complete joke. The company they booked my hire vehicle was called Easirent is a completely unprofessional and disgraceful company. I was told as I am 24 years old I would need to leave a 1800euro deposit by the man I spoke with on the phone. On arriving in Dublin I was told the law had changed the day before I arrived and I would need to leave a 2500euro deposit. I received no email or notification informing me of this and I booked the car 3 weeks in advance. They then told me I would have to take out insurance with them... long story short they wanted 500euros with a 2500eruo deposit to hire a car for 4 days.... I was lucky I wasn't taken for a mug and left to hire a car from another company. I lost a £30 deposit I put down to hold the car and it cost me £45 in phone bills to call them. If you are reading this dont waste your time with this company its not worth the hassle when you are trying to have a stress free time on holiday. I have lost a total of £75 for a car that I never hired.

I have just had a horrible experience with holiday autos in Judd street where I was meant to pick up my car for the school holidays today. I do not have a credit card -never wanted or needed one I use my debit card for everything. Beware you need a credit card to get one of their cars! I presumed my card would be fine. They would not let me have the car AND I have lost £178 car rental money! this was to entertain my 3 kids for the holidays ,we were going to visit family at the sea-side and now cannot! Holiday up the spout. Crooks.

Beware of them !!! I have had a very bitter experience with holiday autos and Sixt combined. Booked a vehicle for 2 weeks from Manchester airport. Email said I had to take my licence, credit card and passport. On arrival I was asked for a second proof of address by Sixt which I did not have on me. As a result they cancelled my booking and left me high and dry late at night and refused to give a car. I did manage to get my credit card bill as second proof of address after about 30 minutes but I was told by Sixt guy that he had already cancelled my booking stating I had failed the address check. I then contacted holiday autos. They did not answer the phone despite me being on phone for 30 mins. I sent them messages on twitter which were responded to the next day stating that I would not get any refund as it was my fault for not producing the second proof of address. I feel like I have been conned by both Holiday autos and Sixt together. I have lost £300 as a result of a small technicality. Holiday autos refused to refund anything or cancel the booking. I feel like I have paid them for car and added insurance for nothing. I would never use holiday autos or Sixt ever again. Previous experience with Hertz was very good and smooth without all the fuss of 2nd proof of address.

I make a reservation at 23-03-2019 in athens for 2 days, i paid full insurance for the car. when I arrived to the airport and I went to the office to receive my car they told me that the insurance that I have paid doesnt work for them and I had to pay again to the airport. I tryed to contact the HOLIDAY AUTOS by phone they dont answer, then I emailed them and they dont answer again. I want a refund for the full insurance I payed to them and cant contact them. I gave the papers to my lawyer and i will continue it till the end. THEY ARE CHEATING ON CUSTOMERS VERY BAD BEHAVIOUR.

I have offered a car rental in Malta airport. I have been charged €531 for only one punctured tyre. €300 for a new tyre and €150 for admin charges plus €81 taxes. I purchased extra insurance to cover any cost. AXA insurance which goes with this car rental, form the whole cost I have only offered £80 for new tyre and £100 administrative charged. Holiday auto in response to that replied me ; that’s what it is; NOT fair!

This company is unbelievably unprofessional Booked and paid for a hire car through Holiday Autos for collection in New Zealand. When we arrived to collect the car they requested payment. I produced documentation to prove I had already paid, but Holiday Autos had not entered the details onto Avis’s system. After a very lengthy phone call to Ireland and “customer Service” we were no closer to finding a solution. Ended up paying for the car again. Then the fun started 20 emails later, over a period of 11 weeks I finally received my refund of £336

Awful service Took our money and when we got to Tenerife the car hire said because we were an hour late because of our flight it was another €13 a day same thing happened to couple behind us. Holiday autos said I did not provide my flight number but I did so I went to euro car next door and they provided a car at the extra cost it would have cost me. The other car hire company were laughing there heads off.

Total scam. Booked car from Liverpool Airport costing £27. Wife ended paying additional £50 when picking it up. How do these people get away with this. Used Travel Supermarket website and ended up with this lot. Shame on you Travel Supermarket. Avoid both. I will in future.
