Homebase, trading as HHGL is going through Insolvency proceedings, do not order anything from them!!!!!! My order valued at nearly £500, didn’t even get an acknowledgement email. Thieves.

I ordered a lawn mower on Thursday 26th March, payment has been taken and a delivery of 3 days was quoted. It is now 8 days and still no sign of the lawnmower. I'm upset by the lack of communication and customer service. It seems that they just want to take your money asap and deliver when it suits them. If I had known this company were such cowboys I would have gone elsewhere

Absolute joke say 3 day delay and courier will contact, no number to call. Sent 5 emails regarding an order placed 10 days ago and still NO suitable response from the company. My advice don't use them as they clearly can't supply the service they are advertising yet still take orders from people even though they can't cope with current demand. I've ordered from aldi and still received items in a shorter time period than homebase and also from other companies. Avoid avoid avoid homebase

Just as everyone else is saying. Website stated named day delivery. Then an email saying a possible 3 day delay and they would call to arrange a time one day before. Still heard nothing. No way of contacting them despite twitter and Facebook asking us to DM them to track orders. NO REPLY, nothing. £300 out of pocket at the moment with no idea if they are operating even if the website iS sTill TaKiNg OrDeRs WiTh 3-5 DaY LeAd TiMeS. I can’t believe what I thought was a large reputable company is acting this way. These are the standards of bad Ebay sellers let alone a national company. Shameful.

I ordered Ratan Garden Set coding over £200 order no 4071353408 on the 28 March you took my money super quick and sent a obligatory reply with the above order number and confirmed that I will hear within 2-3 working days. Well this time has well and lapsed and I still haven't heard from you. I sent you now 3 messages on your customer service helpline. Complained on trust pilot and you have ignored my requests. (Don't even bother call because all of your phone lines are shut down). Like all the other disgruntled customers I am totally disgusted by this lack of response and dreadful customer service. You do not any any respect for your customers at all. All other companies despite being closed are offering a respectable service. My only wish I'd that I'd checked reviews first.

If i could leave a minus rating i would. Disgusting service. Ordered items the day you decided to close stores. Expected items within 2-3 days. Then needed something else. Went online to order to see if in stock. Message is 3 days delay. Ok busy in these unusual circumstances. So i placed another order for additional paint. Both payments taken. Both orders overdue. Both orders chased BOTH COMMUNICATIONS - IGNORED Out of curiosity, tried to placed named delivery yesterday. I could get this allegedly by Thursday!!!!!!!!! So Homebase answers please WHY are you still taking orders and money off people when you clearly not fulfilling orders. I thought it was just me, looking at these reviews Clearly not the case. So my suggestion is. Stop taking more money off people and refund the customers still waiting For their items. When i first ordered there was a phone number the system that you have clearly now removed! Will be looking at legal options later. Plus speaking to my bank. Anyone from trading standards reading this please feel free to add your comments.

Ordered 25th March. Still waiting, not the worst thing in the world, but still waiting to hear anything at all from homebase about it! Cannot believe the communication on the website is to let people know there's a delay of 2-3 days. I wish! Thousands of customers are already well beyond an extra 2-3 day wait. Absolute slap in the face... And the update on twitter advises to send a DM with your order number, but they aren't accepting DMs. Or replying to emails, or Facebook, or their online form. Or anything. This is a PR nightmare. People aren't annoyed about waiting, people are gobsmacked at almost zero communication having spent a lot of money, weeks ago. I have heard nothing since I ordered, when it said delivery within 5 days. I can't believe there isn't even an automated acknowledgement of delay when it goes beyond this. To hear absolutely nothing from the day you order, when it's so late is beyond belief from such a big company. And they're emailing offers daily, advertising home delivery on the website... The next update needs to address the issue with honesty, and they need to stop accepting new orders when they can't fulfill ones from weeks ago. Beyond shocking.

Ordered flooring and beading also underlay, waited two weeks for the delivery and the underlay was missing,?? Also ordered two tins of paint three weeks ago and still waiting ?? Why take orders you can't deliver???

Placed order on line on Sat 28th March got confirmation email and money has been taken from my bank. Told as was everyone else will be delivered in 2/3 days. Nothing has arrived tried contacting by email and messanger but to no avail. I know we are living in difficult times but why take and order which you are not going to be able to deliver on. And no response to attempted contact. I see still taking orders and payments too. Not good enough a total scam. I now just want my money back

Ordered items last week. Told they were in stock and delivery would be beteen 7 am and 8 pm yesterday. Nothing arrived , no phone call or text. emailed and just get automated reply. don't seem able to cancel order so will have to go to card provider. Useless, have ordered items from B and Q.

Placed order on the 26th March (the day they shut stores). Was told my order would take 5 days (I paid £12.50 for the privilege). It's been 12 days. Received no communication as to what is happening. Went on their website, it said deliveries are taking 2-3 days longer. However both timescales have been and gone and received nothing. The worst thing is they don't communicate the delay nor reply to any of your messages asking for an update. I've contacted them via their online form, Facebook and Twitter - yet despite them asking you to DM them - they don't respond! They have debited hundreds of pounds from my bank account, and aren't telling me if my order is even being delivered! Total scam! I understand things are tough at the moment but other retailers are adjusting delivery times and at least telling you when the order will be delivered. Homebase are simply not responding to anything. Shocking! Do not order!

AVOID PURCHASING FROM HERE!!! Placed an online order over 3 weeks ago, confirmation email received saying items will be delivered within 3-5 working days.... it’s been 3 weeks! You can’t speak to a human to find out what’s going on, it’s an email process with no reply. This company is a scam it should have closed down well before the Covid outbreak. I will not ever use this company again, absolute misleading disgrace.

Placed order 29.03.2020 - Estimated delivery 2/3 days. Heard nothing from Homebase. I have emailed them requesting an update and once again I've heard nothing. I understand that these are unusual times due to Covid 19 but the lack of communication from them is very poor. Would give them 0 stars if possible and when things return to normal they will be getting any of mu business. In a nutshell it's appalling service!!

Order placed 24th, money taken 25th. Delivery date stated as within 5 days. Day 12 and nothing, no update and no delivery. No way of tracking my order or contacting you. Have emailed 3 times, no reply. I think I voice the opinion of many where we appreciate the situation we are all in but you have promised something you cannot deliver but the real frustration is the lack of communication. Poor poor service.

Clearly we are in difficult times and should be mindful of keeping people safe However, why offer an online service if you cannot fulfil it? My money was taken immediately but there is no real way of contacting them Honesty and communication is key Amazon have been just that and deliveries really good - pretty much as normal from what I’ve heard

Placed an order 25th march with homebase 2 to 5 day delivery..i understand their was a 2 to 3 day delay but todate no communication! No way of tracking? Or cancelling??? Like other customers very disappointed! Where is the customer service...do not answer phones or replt to online enquires! Think twice before parting with your money!! I Placed an order with argos lots of communication and goods were delivered on time! 5**** to argos.

DO NOT ORDER FROM HOMEBASE. This has to be a scam. My order is very late and no way to track or contact them. They recently closed my local store, bristol, which makes me think they are in trouble.

I wouldn't even give them one star to be honest. I ordered 3 tins of F&B paint and some sandpaper on Mond 23rd March, receieved two emails saying there was a delay with my 3 day delivery due to Covid-19. Fair enough. I then receive an email saying my delivery is on its way doesn't say whats in the delivery. DHL deliver one package of sandpaper on Wed 2nd April. I can't get hold of anyone at Homebase to see whether the paint should be delivered too, i can't seem to find anywhere to teack the status of my origional order. I have emailed the helpdesk on Wed it is now Saturday and received no reply yet they have managed to take the £110 quick enough. I was hoping to have this in time for the easter break and thought that 3 weeks should be more than enough time for items to deliver. I can't even cancel the order from Homebase and order directly from F&B as i don't have the extra money. It is absolutley infuriating and the customer service is disgusting. I will NEVER shop in Homebase again nor would i reccomend anyone else to. If my delivery is delayed and in two seperate packages then so be it but would be good to know whether ive been tucked up by the delivery driver or if the paint is still on backorder. It stated it was in stock which is why i ordered it.
