Absolute incompetence. First attempt they knocked on the door and left after a minute. It was a three story townhouse and they didn't ring the bell. The operator actually asked me if I would like to leave instructions for the next drivers to ring the bell. She was serious. Second attempt the guy called me and could barely read. I'm not kidding, I don't think he was ever taught how. I texted him the address again and then without reading them he said he'll call me back. Hung up, blocked my number and left. I was given roughly a minute total. I begged the rep before the first delivery to leave the damn package and waive the signature but she wouldn't. Been on hold for 25 minutes as I write this.

IRATE and DISGUSTED by Home Depot and their HORRIBLE service. I ordered a dryer on 11/23/23, with a delivery date of 11/28/23, for a morning delivery. The ENTIRE morning passes, NO delivery, NO phone call. Finally , WE call HD (more of our time), and are rescheduled for a delivery of 12/4/23. Great news, right. Meanwhile, we have NO way to fully wash our clothes, hence another expense at a laundromat. Well, 12/4/23 arrives, and guess what?? STILL NO DRYER. Hours after "supposed delivery", we receive a phone call. We were frustrated and angry, and CANCELLED our entire order. While reviewing our credit card statement on 12/20/23, we noticed there was no refund from Home Depot. The refund amount is $552.54. So, I called your "customer service" number and spent 1.5 hours on the phone, another WASTE OF MY TIME. At this point , it's been TWO DAYS OF MISSED WORK and no refund. Customer service was very polite, and was told my refund was issued. Fast forward to TODAY, 1/15/24, and I realize that my money was STILL NOT REFUNDED. I first spoke to Mary, who was polite, and told me I would have to go to a love HD store for my refund. MY refund of $552.54. Not pocket change. I was transferred to a supervisor, JASON, who was rude and extremely unprofessional. He also directed me to a local store for a refund. Many questions arise from this stressful and expensive Home Depot experience. One is NEVER to spend my hard earned money there again. Another is that your customer service is DREADFUL. Many operators are polite, but they gave us false information and did not resolve our problem. Another lesson is that Home Depot cares NOTHING for their customers, as this is a financially difficult time for many American families. If they have decided to spend their money at your store, you should have the respect and decency to refund them in a timely manner. FYI, the issue was resolved by JASON, supervisor in customer service, rudely transferring me to a local store, Stroudsburg, PA. The employee there helped us immediately, in a pleasant and efficient manner. I have never had such a discouraging and expensive customer transaction as I have had with Home Depot. Fortunately, we were able to find a small appliance business nearby and had a quick, perfect delivery. And their price was better than Home Depot. Jason, the supervisor, refused to admit wrongdoing in Home Depot's part. I thought the Golden Rule applied to business, but apparently not to Home Depot. As an owner of a very old home(1890), and an ardent DIYer, I will NEVER frequent Home Depot again.

Delivery was slow that did not come when they said they would, Did not call to let me know, When they did deliver it I did not open it and it was not installed for 3 more months, When the contractor opened it it was crushed on both sides of the glass And found out later it needed 7 new parts, Called home depot said there's nothing they could do about, it to me they didn't even try, After a long process I finally got GE to fix it, After 1 year of using it The top sprayer does not work, it's a piece of junk, I think it was dropped by a shipper or an employee

Complete delivery never showed on kitchen cabinets. Seven calls to HD customer service over 5 days. Run around and outright miss information from all seven HD customer service people with the final person I talked to more interested in lecturing me vs solving my problem. Infuriating. No return calls as promised and still no cabinets. A completely horrible experience and I’m done with HD. Oh and I’m not a homeowner customer, I have a pro account and but a great deal from them throughout the year.

we had a delivery schedule for a washer dryer and moved all our furniture to make way for the delivery. The driver calls us and says that he will be here in ten minutes and after one hour we call him and he is on voice mail. We then call Home depot and the representative insists on rescheduling! We ask her to put us through to the manager and we are put in hold for a thirty minutes and no response! The worst custoner service and full of lies in corporate business

HD lost my confidence on a recent dual appliance purchase. Delivery came up short-they didn't level the appliance, and they threw stuff in my trash that I paid to have taken away. A revisit to check machine was frustrating. They said it was level without checking it-it was not-they checked when I questioned how they knew if they didn't. The machine is disappointingly very noisy & they weren't sure if it was normal or a problem. They insisted they had to either take it or order a replacement and were not good at explaining why I couldn't just use my 48 hrs. to decide without an order. They then told me I had to call and be sure the order was in, and tell them I would take the 48 hr. window to decide. When I did this I was told to text, I was put on hold and they never came back on text. I called and was put on hold and disconnected. I had told them I would call the next day. When I called the next day I found it was cancelled already. I had not said to cancel it at that point. 2 guys came on revisit-1 did everything and the other one was bored I guess and wandered around my laundry room looking at things. That was disconcerting. The entire ordeal was frustrating, confusing. and lacked in good customer service.

my local store gets a 10 star review. however when you call customer service it goes to a foreign country. hard to understand and yes they do lie. big time liars. and yes they hand up on you. if you are in the US ask for a person in the US. the quality of the person goes up about 10,000%. i called 5 time in a row, got foreign people. called the next day after the stress worked out. asked where they where. asked for a person in the US. got a nice lady that didn't lie to me. it took about 30 minutes and a transfer to a specialist to finally solve my problem. but my parts are finally on the way. next time i order online i will only ship to the store, and open the box in front of them.

One of the staff at Glastonbury Home Depot was very rude and disrespectful. In the bathroom vanity section when trying to make a selection the employee was demanding that we moved. Very unprofessional and rude. We left to Lowe’s where we ended up buying over $4K in materials. We will never go back to that store (Glastonbury location) and would never recommended. Say NO to the Home Depot Glastonbury, CT

Do not ever order online . When you do you might not get everything you ordered and paid for. I had ordered one Milwaukee vacuum plus extra batteries and when I received the box only the vacuum was in there no batteries I was told everything was shipped and that I received it and therefore I’m out of luck with recouping anything for the batteries that I never received either a it was never put in the box or the Packer stole the batteries and there is no recourse buyer beware

I returned a plant with a receipt and was told that I needed to find another plant for the same EXACT amount to exchange. There was only ONE plant for that exact amount. I even asked to pay Xtra for a much more expensive plant and was told NO. I find that policy outrageous!

Home Depot installed my house windows, they never came to inspect the work or fix a brand new widow handle. I called several times with broken promises for month and nothing was done. This is was my first and last time to use Home Depot for any service, they are the worst I ever seen

so the local store is really good. my gripe is with online orders. i ordered a 2pack ryobi batteries with a free tool. got the free tool, no batteries. customer less then no help. got an email saying they were back ordered. nope now the batteries are 125% more and not backordered. basically no help, i no longer have the email. my fault i trusted online to deliver to the house. that will not happen again. ship to the store, and open in front of them. make sure i save all emails as well. what a rip. very unhappy. also customer service cut me off 4 times. had to call back 5 times to finally get a person to complete the call. not very good.

If I could give Home Depot a zero-star rating I would. I purchased a refrigerator from home depot online and attempted to have it delivered twice. I paid for the installation of the refrigerator and the removal of the old refrigerator. On the first attempt, I was told they could not install the refrigerator because I didn't have the correct water shut-off valve. They made all of the measurements and said the refrigerator will fit with no problem. The second attempt I was then told they could not deliver the refrigerator because I have to remove the hand rails or order a smaller refrigerator. The delivery guys just said that and left. no bye or sign anything. I called customer service and got little to no help. I asked the customer service rep do I need to cancel my order and his response was if that's what you think you should do. I asked to speak to a manager and after being on hold for 20mins I was transferred to the customer resolution team. The person was even less helpful than the customer service rep. I was left with only two options remove my railing or order a different refrigerator. No discussion of removing the doors and draws from the refrigerator just inconveniencing the customer as if they were doing me a favor. So I resolved the situation by canceling the order altogether and ordering the same refrigerator from from BestBuy. Home Depot has lost me as a customer there are plenty of competitors that are willing to take my money. I have not experienced such poor customer service in a very long time.

The delivery requires someone to be home. The delivery date was the 8th so my husband took that day off. They sent an email on the evening of the 4th saying it would be there on the 5th between 7AM and 9PM--a 14 hour window!!-- so my husband was able to switch the day from Monday to Friday. But they didn't show up. A completely wasted day. Then an email came Friday evening saying they would be here on Saturday--the same 14 hour window-- and no one showed up again. Plans were canceled so someone would be home. I called the number provided in the email for rescheduling or canceling and they said they could do nothing about it and it would be there Monday--sometime. I will never, ever, ever order something from Home Depot again.

Do not purchase an appliance for delivery. The Home Depot delivery partners are terrible. I was called by the delivery service and scheduled to have my stove delivered on Jan 5th between the hours of. 3-7 p. My account never showed the delivery was scheduled so I called HD. They said yes your on the schedule, it coming today. So I wait…6:30p roles around and nobody shows up so I call again. They say.. Sorry it’s delayed but it will be there by 9pm. I’m like..that’s late but ok. 8:45 roles around and I have a feeling they are not coming. The phone rings and they say sorry we have to reschedule for tomorrow between 3-5. I say fine. The next day I checked my account and again it wasnt showing a delivery window. So I called the delivery company in the morning and they said I was on the schedule but now they moved me up to 11-3p. I wait…and wait. At 2:45 I call again. They say they are “loading it on the truck now and will be there soon”, I was super relieved. Well….At 5 pm they still hadn’t showed up so I call HD again and this time I’m upset. The man at the headquarters looks into things and says ma’am, I’m sorry you’re probably not receiving your stove today. The delivery people didn’t tell you the truth and (…they do this to people a lot). They don’t want to loose the delivery but they over schedule themselves. He says the soonest I can re-deliver is Monday (2 days) and it will be the same delivery company with a 12 hour delivery window. I could not believe it. I was strung along for 2 days by this delivery company, stuck at home waiting. These people have my stove but refuse to deliver it and Home Depot won’t do anything about it other than to say…if it doesn’t show up again on Monday make sure to call back? Really? No customer service at all.

The delivery crew not that friendly or helpful, they had to remove my front door to get the refrigerator inside and there was a small gap at bottom of door when they put it back up, had someone else fix the issue 😌

Until a few weeks ago, I used to purchase all of my items from Home Depot. However, they have recently implemented a new tax policy that has made the purchasing process more complicated. Their online system is not functioning properly, and they do not provide prompt responses. When I visited the pro-section of the store, I was directed to complete all of the necessary paperwork online. These additional steps are frustrating and time-consuming, as if I am working for them. I took my IL state tax exemption number to the store, but it didn't work. I've heard from workers that this problem is happening to many other contractors as well. In the end, I gave up and returned to MENARDS, where I don't have this problem. Unfortunately, these stores are far from my business, but I have to get used to buying everything at once again. Home Depot has become the store where I buy simple things that I forget or need during my work. It appears that many contractors, like myself, are now visiting MENARDS more frequently. It seems that I am not alone in experiencing this issue.

I pay for the washing machine to be installed and the old washing machine to be taken away. The delivery arrived two hours early, everything was ready at home, but I didn't have time to go to the bank to withdraw cash. The gentleman who installed it from the very beginning assumed that we should give him money for lunch for what he was doing, and after a very quick installation, he asked me directly for a tip, which put me in a very awkward situation because I didn't have any cash at home because they arrived too early. The gentleman left offended and didn't even take all the parts from the old washing machine. I don't know if Home Depot pays its employees so little that they brazenly ask for tips from customers. I paid for the service and tips are voluntary, I also work in the service industry but I would never ask for a tip directly. The customer pays for the service and the tip is his good will
