“Useless Business. Be Warned.
I read the reviews before ordering and as there were some positive ones thought I would give them the benefit of the doubt. Big mistake.
Ordered 2 of the same record on the 12th May.
One copy arrived on the 30th May but only after I emailed them asking where the order was.
The 2nd copy nowhere in sight.
Emailed again regarding 2nd copy, basically they had no stock and were waiting for more stock to arrive which would be 1-2 weeks supposedly.
After a few more emails backwards and forwards I asked to be refunded as I no longer wanted to wait.
I then get an email with a tracking number saying that the 2nd copy had been posted.
This is hard to believe but the tracking number was for the 1st copy that had been sent. The 2nd copy had not been sent at all.
I had also pre-ordered some other vinyl, but because of lack of professionalism I was not prepared to trust them to fulfil these orders and asked to be refunded.
Cut a long story short, more pathetic emails backwards and forwards ( what do you not understand Neil about the word "refund".
Eventually got refunded for my pre-orders however no refund for the 2nd copy of my other order even though I had sent emails asking to be refunded.
Again more emails and eventually a refund.
Excuses were made about supplier issues and warehouse move. This does not wash, you have been having shocking reviews for a long time.
Just google Horizons Music reviews, shocking reviews everywhere.
My advise to anyone thinking of ordering from Horizons Music is save yourself a whole load of frustration and order elsewhere.
Don't give them your money you will regret it.
Hope you reply to this review Neil as it would be interesting to see how you shift the blame from you as the supplier to me the customer.”
“DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM NEIL! COMPLETE THIEF!! I just put in a claim on Friday about an order that was taking 5 months. NEVER had to wait that long for any order outside of the US. Most companies I order from in The UK take less than a week to get my order. I have no idea what this guy is doing, but he doens't know how to run a record store. What's even crazier is once i got the email confirmation that they refunded my full order i got a text on the same day from a 213-409-7467 number and that area code is in LOS ANGELES! I thought this was a UK company??!! TRUST ME...stick to Juno Records, Hard Wax, Clone Records and other retailers that are LEGIT!”

I placed an order in October 2021 and I still have not received it to this day. I asked the seller to cancel and issue a refund he declined. Intentionally waited till the 180 day PayPal return period had passed. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS MAN! This is not a business it’s A ONE MAN BAND! Working from his little room. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.”
“Horizons Music is nothing short of a criminal enterprise. How Neil Monteiro has avoided criminal prosecution and a shut down is utterly baffeling.
Monteiro takes money from people with no intention of providing goods or a refund. Is there a loophole where dodgy characters like Monteiro are allowed to operate like this? Unbelievable!
If you’re waiting for a refund then I strongly recommend contacting the police and reporting this fraudster. You can also report him to Trading Standards.

“Complete conman who claims to have a warehouse and lots of staff. I ordered vinyl in January and it eventually arrived in March but I had to change the order as most of the vinyl was not in stock, yet it was advertised as in stock when I purchased. Even spoke to Neil and he promised to sort it but never did…..my advice would be to buy from many of the other reputable record stores who try very hard to provide a good honest service. STAY AWAY FROM HORIZONS MUSIC, YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED!!!”

I ordered a title pre-release, paid up front 2 weeks before release date and 2 weeks after release day I still had heard nothing so emailed Horizons to told "I'll find out next week. Email me in 4 days." Shocking customer service. I decided to cancel based on the level of customer service. Was then told refund would be in 30 days time. It was then I did a search online on Horizons music to find that this is a common occurrence. Why anyone needs to wait 30 days to refund for is beyond me. Based on the reviews I don't think I will get the refund.
This review is based on my experience to date, and based on the customer service I would advise against using this company. I will wait to see if the refund ever arrives.
It's now 40 DAYS since the cancellation and refund was requested and still no refund received.

“I wish I had read the reviews before ordering from this so called company. I placed an order on the 28th April for two vinyls, which came to roughly £61.00 with next day delivery. The items never showed up the next day, which was a Thursday, so I looked on the site and luckily for me, telephone calls were only answered on a Wednesday and Thursday. I called and got an automated message, so I emailed. The reply Neil sent back was that one record was out of stock, which apparently it said on the website when I ordered it, I know for a fact they were both in stock and questioned why would I pay next day delivery for an item not in stock and also why did he not send me the other one that he apparently had in stock. I also then asked for my order to be cancelled and a refund issued.I received an email saying the order was cancelled and I would be refunded within 30 days. I could see the problems other reviewers were having getting their money back, so got on to my bank and was advised I could set up a dispute fourteen days after the payment was taken. I started the dispute on the 12th May and the money was back in my account within a couple of days. I would never buy from this company again.”
“working on a fraud claim through my bank now. Order once May 2021 told ran out of the record, no refund. I had to email about the order. placed store credit towards new order in Febuary 2022, was told in May 2022 that they will not be getting that record either. Save your money! and don't order from this company.”
