I have just posted a review stating that the soles on two pairs of my Hotter shoes disintegrated. After reading other reviews, it seems that this is a common problem. These are not cheap shoes and for the price, one would expect a much more durable shoe. I would dearly love to read a response from Hotter regarding this defect. Otherwise as another complainant stated, I'll stick with Clarkes in future.

I have owned several pairs of Hotter Shoes and always been delighted with their syle and comfort. However, whilst the uppers are intact the soles have completely disintegrated on a pair of navy flat shoes and a pair of lace up trainers. The shoes were bought from Step Ahead Shoes in South Africa and when I contacted about the problm, I was told that the shoes must be worn constantly in order to avoid this problem. This is a load of utter rubbish, as one does not wear closed winter shoes in a South African summer. I am now reluctant to purchase the brand again, in case the fault re- occurs.

I ordered 2 pairs of shoes and a handbag on the 8th May. On first and second attempt I got an error message telling me that the website's Paypal plug-in had failed. This meant that Hotter did not receive my order but the amount was still debited from my account by paypal, twice, and I had to wait 4 days for it to re-appear in my account. On the third attempt on the 9th May the order was confirmed by Hotter and I thought all was well. NOPE. I received this email from Hotter. "Unfortunately, it would appear that due to a technical issue your order came through to us without the international shipping fee – I can assure you that this matter has been passed to the relevant department to look into. As there are three items on the order the shipping fee for this would be £37.50 (£12.50 per item) .... We do require the balance of £37.50 before we can release the remaining part of your order. " I phoned them and after waiting for almost 20 minutes to get through to an agent, I agreed to pay the extra amount by card. You would think that was the end of this saga but no...the amount of 37.50 did not appear on my Hotter account online although it was debited from my bank and the order still stated "awaiting despatch". So I emailed them on the 10th May and received a reply on the 12th may stating "Your order was placed on hold awaiting your payment. This was taken off hold as soon as your payment was made, and I can assure you, you order will be despatched shortly." Today is the 15th and the order still states "awaiting despatch". As it has taken them so long, the Paypal authorisation was about to expire but they apparently renewed it on the 14th May. The extra shipping charge however was direct from my bank, and as it was not claimed of course it has been credited back to my account..... This really is becoming a joke. If I don't have notification of despatch today I shall cancel the order... if I can get through to them ...

Whilst Hotter shoes and the in store service are good, the online service is nothing short of atrocious. I ordered a pair of shoes in a store but had to return them . It took 2 phone calls and 2 months to get a refund but no explanation or apology was offered just a throwaway comment that the refund hadn't been done correctly. I definitely won't be ordering online from this company again.

They are a great fit look great excellent service put the order in on a Friday and I got them the Tuesday after. Very efficient service would use this company again.great company

my wife has been ill and hasnt worn a pair of slip on shoes she bought, when we opened the bag the soles of both shoes had perished and turned to powder. four other pairs were still good however.

Hotter took money out twice. When I rang,the lady was extremely rude and denied it even though the money had been withdrawn from my account. I then rang my bank who confirmed that they had taken the money twice and dealt with hotter. Will never buy shoes from them even though there shoes are good.

Ordered shoes three weeks ago. No word from them and no shoes. Can't get through to customer service. Not sure if I will ever see these shoes.

I have always struggled to find shoes that fit my small shoe size. The smallest size in most catalogs are one to two sizes bigger than what I need. Many times I have had to settle for children's shoes that don't look too childish. I am thrilled that I can now order shoes online that fit and feel wonderful, I own 8 pairs and will order many more. Thank you Hotter!!

I was a hotter customer for 6 years. I loved every pair of shoes. Then something happened to their sizing. I ordered shoes in the same size I had been wearing and they were at least two sizes too small. They were unavailable in a larger size. I ordered a slightly different style in a half size larger than my usual hotter size and they too, were horribly small. I ordered them in a full size larger and they were defective. Stitching was coming out. What happened to hotter? Did they sell out to the Chinese? Used to be a quality, British made product. Now they are junk. Sad. I wrote a review but it never appeared. In fact the first very small size is now on sale at 50% off and there are no reviews. Hmmm. Makes one wonder.

We got a flyer for Hotter along with our package from another company. My wife thought the shoes looked nice so order a pair in her normal size. The ad said expedited shipping 3 to 5 daysWell a month later they showed up. The shoes were very big no where close to the right fit so we have sent them back. Very unfavorable experience.

Until this year I would have rated the shoes has excellent. However, this year despite the measuring chart saying I was a size 3, the Hotter shoes I was wearing being size 3, and the three further pairs at home being size 3, the two pairs I tried on in the shop were much too big. The only rather feeble excuse I was given was that the "fit must have changed". That's Hotter off the list then. Shame because their shoes were comfortable and fitted well.

Just Saw this the advert on to and thought I'd give them a go, that's as far as I got, you add the size, colour and fitting to basket and get a error message saying you need to add the size, colour fitting or (of course) call our customer service team.... so you go back re-add everything (doesn't show out of stock) add to basket same error message, click back oh and low and behold it's now out of stock!?!?!) husband tries different colours sizes fittings same thing! Just given up it's easier to continue shopping with Next and M&S online than this! Website also doesn't display well on an Ipad was better in landscape, shame you've just lost over a £150 order but sorry my time is to precious to sit on hold to your customer services team being sold up sells, it was quicker to type this review than it was use the website!

Ordered the same shoe 3 times, first one fine, second one fine, third one trusted would be ok and did not check - wore once and ended up with a massive blister - the shoes look brand new but hotter will not consider checking them as the 90 days are up. Customer service this is not although I accept it is outside their imposed 90 days I thought it reasonable to expect the same quality and a more reasonable approach.

Very petty minded new management. I purchased 2 pairs of shoes in 2012 in a size 9 but they came up 1cm shorter than all my other shoes. I then purchased several pairs of sandals because they were pretty to look at and the length did not matter so much. I did mention to their technical department that their shoes were shorter than the other makes but they would not accept this. Their shoes come up quite wide however. I ordered three pairs of sandals last summer, which I was very pleased with. When I tried to order another similar pair this year I was informed that I had been banned from ordering on line and that as I live abroad I would have to come to England if I wanted to purchase the shoes. The shoes I wish to purchase are not available in the shops as they are an old style. I wrote many times to the CEO but she dodged the issue continually, telling me that she was only trying to help. This is the first time in my life that I have experienced such treatment and I can only add my agreement to the other lady who has stated the Hotter are indeed a Horrible Company.

My mum owns 12 pair's of hotter shoe's. 1 pair she bought about 5yr ago she didn't wear overly often preferring to keep them for odd breaks away. The upper part of the shoe was in pristine condition but whilst wearing on a short break the sole of 1 totally fell away from the upper and my mum had to change into another pair. These shoe's were expensive and looked after. Upon return to the shop she was told that 'it happens' and they were 'old'. Well my mum could be classed as old but things aren't dropping off her. Upon reading the many complaints about hotter soles I wonder how they can justify the price's to a mainly older clientele when the shoe's seem to be a trip hazard. Better off going to Clarkes!

I have a pair of hotter shoes that I have been wearing for 5 years or more. They are the best shoes I have ever had. I have just bought another pair different style this time. After wearing them them for a week, I found them uncomfortable they were changed immediately with no quibble. Customer service was fantastic.

Did not receive the order on the estimated time, and they have an horrible and I mean very horrible costumer service, I've called mane times which seems to be a Las Vegas number, also let's not forget the number seems to be a cell phone number, the only thing I got was two lame e-mails with no explanation at all saying that the shoes are hand made and that why it takes long, so that I a misleading information on their website about delivery days then never ever ever buying shoes with this assewholes again UNPROFESSIONALS

After 10 days and very little wear around the house the soles of both shoes split and crumbled, they are really comfortable shoes but half the heel has crumbled away so I am unable go wear them, they're going in the bin tomorrow and will NOT be buying Hotters again and would not recommend them to anyone, I'll stick with Clarkes, a better quality shoe
