Paying for the delivery at the current time is unusual, but acceptable providing there is a returns label included. There is NOT - I would not have ordered 3 coats had I realised this, I am afraid I will stick to John Lewis and Marks and Spencers in the future and not risk that sting again. There are very many complaints about HoF on Trustpilot - not the classy outfit it once was before Ashley got his hands on it.

Returns is a hassle...it should be free given you cannot shop in stores anymore.

I purchased two luxury super-king duvet covers. Both arrived after about one week and one of them (DKNY) is enormous, FAR too large for a UK super-king duvet. I requested to send it back and was told via email only that I had to pay for the return of the item, even though it has been sent as a faulty item or indeed an item that has not been quality checked and is unfit for purpose in UK. I asked for a number to speak with someone and was told (by reply email) that House of Fraser have no telephone operators or customer service people and no such customer service anymore, everything is done by email as if you were buying from an internet shed or online dealer. I expressed how unsatisfactory this was and how I do not choose to buy from online sheds and always prefer to support quality retailers like HOF or so I thought. It seems that HOF has changed to an unrecognisable standard of what they once were and I will pay to have my product returned just as I paid to receive it (which was very odd compared to other quality retailers). This will be the last purchase I make from HOF, I was once a regular client.

My order was damaged in transit and I did not find this out until a week later despite paying for next day delivery. I then reordered and the exact same thing happened! 3rd time in trying I actually received the delivery. Customer Service was difficult to contact, once I successfully made contact I was offered a discount and free delivery on my next order. I understand that things sometimes go wrong but other than offering a discount there was not proactive help from HoF, it was left to me to reorder and keep my fingers crossed.

Product received was OK, however to be initially charged 4.99 for standard delivery and then have to pay over 4 pounds to return the item by registered post to receive a refund (trainers did not fit) was a disgrace. 10 pounds down and not even new trainers to show for it.

Unfortunately they were way too long and very baggy around my husband’s hips and backside. Definitely not worth the price so on the way back to HOF.

The actual products are great, I've never had a problem with those. But delivery is by far the worst in comparison to every other shop I've shopped with. Also, trying to resolve any issues with anything, from items being scanned at the wrong price in-store, to discounts not being applied and items being on the wrong hangers, is next to impossible. House of Fraser appears to be the only store that follows the code of "the customer is always wrong". I only buy from House of Fraser when I can't get the items elsewhere.

I have always had confidence in House of Fraser, & they would be one of my main "Go To" stores, but I have been really disappointed with their on-line service. Items having photos of shirts but descriptons of trousers. Items listed as in stock, but when you place them in the basket, they go out of stock. Even worse, I placed an order for 2 styles of jacket in large size. The order was accepted, & debited from my card and only then was one items advised as being out of stock. I had to then order the item agin in extra large incurring another delivery fee. I am really disappointed that such a reliable retailre cannot sort such simple issues

Online experience good but delivery disappointing, not in terms of speed just zero effort and cheap sports direct packaging - complete contrast to Selfridges where receiving a parcel is an experience

Great product (Ariat boots), but took 13 days to deliver when latest delivery date was given as 6 days after order placed.

Ordered goods and paid however received an email saying some of the goods were unavailable, I have been expecting a refund for that value since then.

The bag was lovely it arrived and the pull string is all frayed which makes it hard to open very disappointing as I have ordered this for my other halfs birthday next week and I can't get a new one in time :(

The returns/ exchange process is very slow. Weeks! By the time my faulty product is returned & processed the product I am after will no doubt be out of stock and not available for exchange. To ease this I would recommend customers are able to reorder products, pay in full including the delivery fee and on successful return finally reaching warehouse for processing House of Fraser refund the product and delivery fee. Returns are at cost to customer (unless faulty) which puts off people ordering multiple products to try out at home. Appreciate we are in a pandemic but others like sweaty Betty have made it super easy by partnering with Waitrose for speedy delivery and returns.

They have lovely stuff but an item from my online purchase was missing and plus they ignore my query about how to return an item bought in store, on the web sait they are saying they're open for click and collect but when I go to the store it's closed. What a business...
