Do not order a kitchen through IKEA. Absolute disaster from start to finish. Wrong items ordered, damaged items, sent only part of my kitchen as the rest is out of stock. Customer service is a joke. Just horrendous from start to finish. I still have a damaged, half built kitchen 2 months later. My advice - go to a professional kitchen fitters who actually give a toss.

Staff were so unhelpful. The product we ordered wasn’t in the isle stated so we asked a member of staff who took us to a different part of the store and pointed out the product and proceeded to walk away. No offer of help to lift the item which would have been very helpful as I had to struggle to lift it myself. The whole atmosphere of the place was horrible. I will in future take my business elsewhere even if it costs more money. Will certainly not be back!!

IKEA SERVICE AND DELIVERY IS DISGRACEFUL We bought a sofa paid and had to wait 2 hours for collection then 1 hour for delivery which the computer in charge was down, eventually got going we paid about £40 for delivery for next day nobody called, nothing was delivered till 8pm, mean while after 4 called to customer service (IT IS A JOKE) NO SERVICE because they have No support from IKEA. Nobody knows what is going on. It is now 9pm and my husband is back in IKEA to see what’s happened to our order…. Surprise surprise it is still sitting where we left it last night for delivery. THIS COMPANY HAS TURNED INTO A JOKE, nothing works within it. I would like to hear from IKEA if they care. Mrs. A. Behroozi 07768838282

Absolutely disgusting service. Initial delivery due on Thursday 4th Jan 2024. The driver (Elyes) did not even bother to come up to my flat and take a picture of my front door but reported a missed delivery attempt and took a picture from his van of the building. Bear in mind this was in between two other success deliveries so I was at home. They rescheduled for Friday 5th Jan with the same driver. This time he again reported a missed delivery and took a picture of a different location of some parked cars! It was then rescheduled for Saturday 6th January between 8am-12pm. DPD then sent an email saying that due to a delay they are rescheduling to Sunday. I very much doubt they will turn up. Such poor service, very disappointing. Use a different courier. Called IKEA and they couldn’t offer much help Other than speaking to DPD and assuring delivery will take place, which it didn’t in multiple occasions. I was also promised a manager call back within 48 hours and that didn’t happen. How long are customers expected to put up with these delays?!! How much time off work is acceptable for a simple delivery?

Worst ever service! Bought furniture from Ikea in Reading and when I got it home I discovered the label was wrong in the box and had the wrong colour of furniture inside! I took the 45-minute journey to exchange. After dealing with a very unhelpful member of staff at the Reading branch it was exchanged. When I arrived back home the replacement item was faulty as it had the holes drilled in the wrong place! After haggling with customer services they agreed to deliver an exchange and remove the faulty item! The day before the delivery date I called as I did not receive a deliver slot! Only to be told the delivery had been cancelled. After an hour on the phone, I got no joy and got so stressed by the situation! No one seemed to know what was going on and then to make matters worse they offered me a separate collection and delivery date for another week's time! After being stressed all day I had a phone call from the delivery team with a slot for the next day, the original slot! Apparently the item had never been cancelled and the person at customer services got it wrong! So a whole day of stress and anxiety for nothing! Will the item turn up tomorrow - God only knows. Thanks, IKEA for all the stress and anxiety - I will never, ever, use your services again.

Customer service is appalling, that is if you can get any at all. Full of excuses and promises that aren’t followed through. No concern or care that they are stuffing around customers time and money. Would never use again.

Purchased £50 storage at 9pm expecting the reliable quality of service you'd usually receive at IKEA. Started assembling at home and noticed an additional supporting beam at the back of the unit not shown in any product photos online, obstructing the back of the unit and preventing it from fitting into the intended space flush against the wall. Carefully disassemble, repacked and sealed the unit in original packaging. Headed back to store at 11am following morning hoping to exchange for the smaller version of the same unit. Disappointingly IKEA refused to take it back or exchange it. According to David in the Returns dept. the act of screwing in, and unscrewing a screw from the pre-drilled hole in the unit left a mark – the kind that any screw in any piece of furniture would leave. This minor trace of assembly became the basis for IKEA’s refusal to accept a full return/exchange for a smaller product. I was offered a paltry £22 them to take it back. A mark caused by a necessary assembly step, which when assembled is completely obscured, seems unjust, especially given the item was returned in an otherwise perfect condition with many panels not having been removed from the box. David (who felt the need to remind himself and us that he's the Croydon stores Returns Lead manager) then changed tune saying due to a health and safety risk it couldn't be taken back due, as its not in an unopened re-saleable condition. He continued to suggest I use their Buy Back scheme so they can buy it back for £22 (and sell it on as open-box.. somewhat forgetting about the apparent H&S issue?!) Given his confused strategy we decided to walk away after he abruptly dropped our 20kg box on the floor in frustration. Whilst there's a lot of marketing about their easy and simple returns process, the reality is it's entirely impractical and untrue; I can't recommend the product or store. Much rather spend £75 elsewhere on a product backed by people with educated principle and common sense.

The table legs have rusted in six months. IKEA refused to change it under warranty. It turns out that the warranty does not apply to this table. https://www.ikea.com/ae/en/p/torsby-table-chrome-plated-high-gloss-white-s39931845/

I purchased an area rug for my foyer and didn’t bother to unroll it since I was traveling. Unfortunately after I arrived home, I found that it was crooked at both ends. Poor quality and I will never buy from this company again.

Looks like they dont offer deliver to the room service so if you have ordered somethinv heavy and needs to go up the stairs. You dont have somone helping you, you are on your own. any elderly, disabbled or live alone individuals should find the muscles before they order. I would have gladly paid for them to go right to where they need to be.

I ordered a desk and stool for collection from IKEA. Both items had incorrect parts in it. A new stool was delivered 4 days later but we are still waiting for the part for the desk. I have been onto the chat line 4/5 with different answers each time. This evening I had chat line with Rene. The person was very rude. I was very annoyed going onto the call but after it I would never deal with IKEA again. Condescending to say the least.

someone urgently needs go get back to us regarding order number 1385308238 and case number 44175120. we have been waiting 1 month now for this delivery and are waiting for either the product or a refund. unfortunately the case will otherwise be passed on to a lawyer. I would not recommend anyone to order online. items are not being delivered correctly and extremely delayed. its the worst nightmare to contact customer service.

DO NOT ORDER. Absolutely shocking. We paid £40 for delivery on a saturday and it never turned up with no notice. We stayed in all day and cancelled plans to accommodate for it. We werent offered any refund for the FORTY pounds delivery. All we were offered was a £20 voucher. Why would we ever order from here again with such a shocking delivery service? Their excuse was that 1 item out of the order wasnt in stock. So they didnt bother? No notice? No partial delivery with a refund? We werent able to talk to anybody else at the customer service team as they didnt have the capacity, therefore they seem to be lacking management or supervision too. It shows how much they care about customer service. £40 for an order that never arrived! I cant believe it. And again, 0 communication. It takes 5 minutes to call or text or set up an auto text that somebody at the warehouse could send to let us know that we don’t need go stay in the house 7-7. We couldnt even call customer service on the day as the wait time was over an hour.

We bought the FRIHETEN Corner sofa-bed with storage from Ikea for Crossrail Cottage - our beautiful serviced apartment in West Ealing, and we are super happy with it. Our guests love how stylish it is. The blue gives our place real a pop of colour! It is also super comfortable, the perfect place to relax and sleep! And the storage is brilliant too. Our guests like to curl up and relax on it after a long day sightseeing in London! Great sofa! Thanks Ikea!

Placed an order for urgent delivery. Package is split into 2 delivery days, not ideal but okay. Second delivery date comes and the order doesn’t arrive. The Ikea website just says it’s “getting ready”. Ring next day and get loads of apologies and reorganisation for delivery. Delivery day comes and goes and again no delivery. Apparently there was a problem with the vehicle, hmmmm, but that doesn’t explain why I didn’t receive the day before notification that usually comes. Did they mean their vehicle broke down the day before or they are psychics who didn’t send the notification message the day before because they already knew the vehicle would have a problem?? Impressive. Ring again, get loads of empty apologies again. So now my order is apparently going to be delivered 10 days after it was placed - for urgent delivery. As for compensation, after taking 3 working days off as holiday, 2 botched deliveries, and hours spent on the phone I had the choice between receiving £10 back that I paid for urgent delivery OR £30 Ikea gift voucher. I pointed out that I should be refunded the £10 anyway as I had not received urgent delivery, which was agreed, but then I would not be offered any further compensation for my ordeal and my time wasted by ikea. Come on Ikea, If you are already offering me a £30 voucher do you really despise your customers that much that you can’t refund them £10 extra they paid for urgent delivery - that they didn’t get??? Doesn’t seem like very fair customer service to me.

I express my deep dissatisfaction with my recent experience, which I placed on August 29th, 2023. My initial delivery date was set for September 2nd, 2023; however, a series of unforeseen issues has resulted in significant inconvenience and financial loss. On two separate occasions, the delivery of my order had to be rescheduled due to system errors within IKEA's operations. This sudden cancellation of delivery on both September 2nd and the rescheduled date of September 5th has disrupted my plans and caused me considerable stress and inconvenience. I am very disappointed with Ikea and their customer service.

Never go with ikea kitchen. I thought I made a best decision to go with Ikea for kitchen. I realize it was such a mistake. It started well with kitchen planning and I got trapped after making 1st order. Got about half of the item delivered. But, was left to believe only one item is missing. Since, I had already demolished existing kitchen, I was ok to have the one missing installed later. I started the installation only to realise there are more and more items missing. So, far I've made 4 trips to ikea which is 60kms away from home to get items as and when they become available. I'm making a trip to US from canada to get another item as the expected of that item in canada is November. If you are unlucky you might not get . So, not taking chances to wait till November. This post is for all those who are thinking to go with ikea kitchen. Ive made multiple calls to ikea and have got no support. Their customer service sucks.Be aware. It's not worth. Don't get trapped like me.
