Went to Warrington Ikea yesterday, a one and a half hour drive away, to buy a balance chair for a grandchild. Haven't been for about 5 years because husband hates it. The chair has to be collected from the nearby warehouse. Two hours and 50 minutes after paying for the chair we wheeled it to the car. The warehouse waiting area was packed with people who looked as if they had lost the will to live. There is a screen with your number displayed, either pink (nothing happening) yellow (being picked) or blue (ready) but no idea of timings. And the pink side got so full that people were coming in and their number wasn't showing at all. One person had taken half his stuff home to Liverpool, come back, and still was on the pink side. You cannot blame the staff, but Ikea seriously need to address these problems because people will just not come back. Or perhaps they don't bother because the store was packed and everyone had a trolley full.

Despite the negative reviews we have still decided to go for an IKEA kitchen. What a huge mistake it was. First of all, the delivery service was just a nightmare. They have given us the time slot. I being pregnant, had to wait the whole day in an unheated house waiting for the delivery. When I managed to reach IKEA by the end of the day, they said the delivery was coming the next day actually. No apologies, nothing. Same happened the next day! and the day after! basically, i spent 3 days in an unheated house, calling them and getting " the delivery is on its way" and then "sorry, some kind of a mistake, will come next day".. Secondly, some of the items have not been delivered and some are just wrong. Mind you, you get c 180 individual items at delivery, so checking all of them and ensuring they all match your kitchen, is impossible. Lastly, when I had to order some extra items that gone missing, the IKEA lost the parcel. They now claim it is my responsibility to go through the neighbors and try to find it! They were so extremely rude on the phone, this is unbelievable. I am shocked. Never again !

Waited 35 minutes to speak to customer services as pax wardrobe had a damaged part. I was told I had to go back into store. I was told I wouldn't have to wait they would have the part waiting for me at customer services . When I walked in and ask the staff member on the leeds Returns counter , Jeri she said in a loud voice 'you need to wait like everyone else,' ... Meanwhile everyone else looked over at me pretty annoyed as it looked like I was queue jumping . I said ok, but I was told to present at the desk and you would have my replacement part waiting for me along with a gift voucher by way of apology , she shouted over in aloud voice , ' has anyone got something waiting for this lady or does she need to take a seat like everyone else ' ....So I sat down very embarrassed , sheepishly with everyone else giving me daggers for trying to queue jump. What a horrible shopping experience .... Let's see what happens when it gets to number 42

The worst service ever !!!! Ordered a Besta unit in black, delivered a white unit, went in store to have it rectified and was told correct colour will be delivered in two days, waited and no response, called and was told that the unit is out of stock, meanwhile my television is down and my flat in a mess. I will never buy from them again, waste of time.

I ordered a mattress which took over 1 week to deliver. Now the biggest issue was that before making an order I had phoned customer service just to let them know I would require help with setting up the delivery as I was unable to lift the items. I also did put a note on my special instruction. One of the team did call me afterwards and I explained my situation and it was agreed the delivery person would be notified about my special instruction. Some days to the delivery I received a text that the items would be delivered between 7am and 11am. I wonder if they are not aware that not everyone is jobless having to wait for 4hrs for delivery rather than being specific? A day before the delivery I got a call that my delivery would be between 7am and 9am and I would receive a call an hour before my delivery time. Of course I never received any call and the delivery came at 9.40am!! I would never purchase any item from them NEVER! AVOID THEM AT ALL COST!!!!!!!

Nothing designed to be easy about shopping in this store, from your arrival on the sixth floor to being forced to walk miles to reach what you want. I visited Ikea Coventry and you can't just progress from Floor 6 to the tills when you have all you need, you have to go via floor 5, just in case you are stupid enough to have forgotten something else that you might want. Total stress of a shopping experience, ignorant staff and not a manager to be seen.

Ordered online with ikea.Took day off work for delivery.Got a text message that it'l come between 7-11am. At 9 am received a call saying it'll come between 10-1 pm.At 2 pm it had still not arrived. So i called them only to be told that it'll not be delivered today & will be rescheduled for the same day next week. Ikea didn't even bother notifying me that the delivery wasn't coming & after i was tired of waiting, i had to call myself. They arrange no special delivery to make up for this trouble

If I could give a lower review than a 1 I would!!! I bought a filing cabinet and it was missing a main wooden part. Without the side of the cabinet it is totally useless! I called customer service, waited on line and was then told they would do nothing!!! What an absolute waste of time and money. I will NEVER shop here again!!!

I have had a Tupplar blind for about 6 months which has always been temperamental when opening and closing. It finally gave up yesterday and is now totally stuck in the down position hence a very dark room.I have just spent 25 minutes on hold(gave up as the phone bill probably more than the blind worth) to find out if I can return the product without my receipt ,which I cannot find.If you try the "ask Anna " it eventually comes up with "try ringing your local store."If you try an email it suggests you won't get a reply for approximately 7 days.As it is quite a distance to my nearest store do I risk taking it back or not? Also ,the drawer runners on the wardrobe we bought 3 years ago have broken and are now no longer made so another useless piece of equipment in the house.Used to love Ikea but getting very fed up with the quality and especially the customer services.

Faulty sofa with loose stitching found 1 week after delivery. Sent numerous emails to customer services with no reply even though they state they will respond within 5 days. Tried phoning customer services but no one answers, very frustrating!!

Ikea delivery: TERRIBLE service. Placed my order (472-567413433-01) the second of august. Delivery date was today 23rd. Yesterday i get the confirmation text saying that they will be here between 11 and 3 pm. Today at 11:30 they call me and say that they are unable to deliver until the 9th of september (13th if it has to be on the weekend). What??? So they rearrange the delivery to the 13th of september speaking to my boyfriend, i didnt even agree to it!! I paid 40£ delivery for this service??? Do i really need to wait a month an a half to get my delivery after i paid for this service? I definitely do not recommend this service. Very very disappointing.

11 day response time for email & 45 min on hold to customer service, does that not imply not enough staff to answer complaints IKEA ?
