“Another false negative blow. Get in my car 6-7 in the morning. Blow and pass. Turn on car. It retest after 5 minutes like normal. Says i failed and counts down while my car is running. Blow again and pass. 50$ they steal. Another 20$ something to calibration thing. That's 2nd false negative. But like 10 or more lockouts, 2 tows ect. They're thieves. Big time. Once you sign the contract they have it set up to where you're basically thier slave for the entire time.”

“Happy is not the right word been threw pure hell cost me thousands sober and haven’t drove in over 20 years was the only way to get my lisence back still in my truck shame on rmv and smart start there taking money from a disabled person I could go one but not wasting my time have one more year next Oct removed if it don’t get removed there willl be a law suite”

“The device is horrible. I am on a reduced rate in the state of mn and the rate to switch the device to another car is 50$. I paid 50 at the service center and now Intoxalock is automatically taking another 50. Called to inquire and was told to go away basically, and it doesn’t matter because It’s auto pay. Can’t wait to get this dinosaur out. There are way better machines and way better customer service elsewhere. They talked a good game in the beginning and it sounded good. BEWARE.”

“Terrible company. Only use if they are your last option. Lies to get you to sign up. Once you sign the lease they won’t let you change service and remove/drop off equipment with out your probation officer letting them know it’s ok. I tried to leave it where I got it and the owner of that business walked outside with the unit dropped it in the street and threatened to call the cops for trespassing. Everyone associated with this company are scum bags.”

“Run!!! I can’t believe this device is approved. The customer service is good, the device itself is awful. It’s large, doesn’t fit in any of my console areas, the tips fall off easily & it’s dangerous when driving at higher speeds. The noise level & the different sounds are like nails on a chalkboard, caused me so much unnecessary stress. I needed to have my vehicle repaired, they don’t have an override option so I had to pay to have it removed which triggered me not being compliant, extra paperwork & steps involved to keep my license in good standing. The good part is I had a device installed with a different company & am very happy! Wished I would have done more research upfront. I went with Intoxalock because the customer service & sales were so helpful and easy to work with. The other carriers didn’t call me back or follow through.”

“Intoxalock is no different than any other ignition device company. I had zero issues ( other than needing to charge my battery, and they ALL do that. ) I did have the JUG-or-NOT cover cup to hide it tho . Made the whole experience kinda unnoticeable.. The device situation sucked but the jug helped me not be noticed by other drivers ...”

“ABSOLUTELY DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. YOUR BETTER OF WALKING GOT A FAULTLY SYSTEM INSTALLED 2 VEHICLES LATER IM DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY IN 2023 LINCOLN NAVIGATOR WITH 20K MILES AND I GET AN ERROR CODE AND MY CAR SHUTS DOWN. NO STEERING NO BRAKES. HACE THE CAR TOWED TO CAR TOYS AND 1 WEEK LATER THOUGH CAR TOYS SAYS THE SYSTEM IS FAULT INTOXILOCK SAYS ITS NOT PULLING THIS OUT OF MY CAR. WORSE COMPANY ON THE PLANET THE WILL BE GOING OUT OF BUSINESS SOON GO WITH LIFE SAVOR”

“Lousy customer service. Worst I ever experienced in my 67 years of life Find some other company to work with. I had options with number of stars to rate them, 1 is as low as I could go, would have given them a negative 10 if it were possible.”

“1. Customer Service is HORRIBLE! No one picks up the phones. 2. The service/system is never correct and always wants to charge extra for no reason. We had payments paid already and the Intoxalock system says we owe money when we don't. 3. Intoxalock reviews... sounds like the company is not fixing everyone's issues if Intoxalock has a 1-star rating.”

“Intoxalock charged my credit for a device I sent back to them. I was in a car accident and was only able to retrieve the hand held device and they charged me after I sent it in. They stopped calling me after about the time they would have received it and flagged my credit”

“I’m literally in tears right now. I’ve had Intoxalock about 3 years now. Nearly 10 months didn’t count because my driver license was suspended because I couldn’t afford my insurance so I choose not to drive but kept the Intoxalock installed. Nobody told me this time didn’t help. Anyways doing a little better financially now and have been able to pay for six months at a time so I can afford the intoxilock device. I’ve gotten three lockouts since I’ve had it this last time. I’ve been sick for 2 days went to have my blood drawn and then to the pharmacy. On the way I had to provide 4-5 samples each displaying .005 and then .025 everything but all zeroes and then it stopped l. After the pharmacy went to Walmart came out and I’m in another lockout. I call the company and they barely speak English so it’s hard to communicate but they r no help. They won’t refund anything. I asked to be transferred, can’t be transferred. Asked for a new device because obviously it’s defective and nothing. I cannot afford to keep paying these people but I have to drive. And I do not drink at all anymore and haven’t for years. I’m looking into switching companies the Dot says it can be done just have to do it on the same day to avoid a lapse in coverage.”

“Caught my DUI in 2012, had this device put in my car for the 1st time in 2016 by THEIR mechanic, paid them for 10 months of what was supposed to be a year long term and just when I thought i was getting close to a year, they told me the 10 months didn't count because I "didn't sign the equipment lease". The equipment ruined my vehicle with electrical issues and I had to buy numerous batteries due to the machine draining my battery so many times that I lost count. My 2nd time trying to work with them and having this machine in my car, for the same 2012 DUI, was from 2020 - Present!.. My lease was initially signed, but everytime I get an Eligibility Date for Removal, they make me sign a new "lease" or they will refuse to take my payment for Unlock/Calibration etc., forcing me to miss work and become more in debt. My Removal Eligibility Date has been pushed back by months, so many times, again I've lost count, but every time I'm going through a hardship and cant afford to pay, my car ends up down and I miss work. Already struggling to pay rent/bills, take care of my kids and make it to work, Intoxalock has refused take payment unless a new lease was signed, pushed my eligibility date back everytime my time is up, usually if I can't pay so my car would be down and in Lockout for weeks at a time, a few times, months. I get penalized by Intoxalock over and over for being poor, Im on a government program to afford a place to live and receive government assistance. I wasn't on any of these programs, in need of help until this 2nd time having the Intoxalock device in my vehicle (20' - 24'). More importantly, I've learned my lesson and am thankful for what the Judge sentenced me, because now I know better. But that was over 10 years ago and if anything drives me to need a drink, it's this abusive company taking all of my money, subject to have my right to travel taken away from me if I can't pay, when I don't have it. And then keeping me in this system and taking away from me and my children, LITERALLY. I have had the State Representative's Office in contact with Intoxalock on my behalf for a while now and without them finally letting me off of this machine, I think I have some people in my corner who understand and see what has been going on all these years. The Judge only sentenced me to have this machine in for a year, I haven't caught any new charges involving drinking, haven't been in any accidents and am thankful for Intoxalock making me realize with this machine, that even a little bit is too much, when it comes to drinking and driving. But to have me on it this long and refusing to let me go and continuously denying me account information when I owe, stopping me from making it to work and to my kids because I owe, etc .. for so long now. It's wrong! My State Representative's Office and I have a new point of contact, but at this point I'm tired of being bullied by the people and operators at Intoxalock, that I'm afraid to take the call because they might trick me again. My most recent Removal Eligibility Date was 9/9/24, before that July, 2024, before that, Oct., 2023 and so on and so on, i have my right to receive an actual license from the DMV, but Intoxalock still chooses to financially lynch me, instead of realizing my time is up. I am a 36 year old Native American/Black Father of 4 and I'm struggling to do for my family because I can't afford to pay Intoxalock in order to work consistently while waiting check to check, when i pay them weekly, for years. If I owe them they won't give me info on my account but when they want me to sign a "new Lease", they won't accept payment to get out of Lockout to drive.... This is cowardous, torturous, treasonous & tyrannous. I will be looking for more safe, yet public places to be heard!”

“Intoxalock got my friend’s birthday wrong on the California DMV 902 form. I am rating their ability to fix this at one star because you don’t have a no stars rating. It’s been a week and have promised three times to send it and my friend is still waiting. Terrible customer service! They should rename their Customer Service department “Customer Disservice.”

“I think this company sucks balls. When I had it on my 2005 toyota Prius. it constantly killed my battery and I was charged $50 by intoxalock for violation. I was like wtf!!!! They said I had to drive my car everyday. I said why? Oh we need to know where the vehicle is located. I was like uhh it's at my house...you have my address and a ghp on my car so you know where it's at. I could go on and on”
