I bought a pair of white airwalk sneakers and 3 months later and not even wearing them everyday I noticed cracks in the fake leather and were defective, I took them back to the store and they would not allow me to return them or give me store credit, they said they have a 60 day return policy, and I have my own policy to cut up my JCPenney card and not shop there anymore, they don't care if they sell you defective products and waste your money, spend your money elsewhere

Could not reach a LIVE person to discuss the technological incident while trying to pay my bill…bill went late and so I just paid it and will not be using their online catalog anymore

I bought 2 king size comforter sets in a bag, both were shedding something like dirt. The particles itch me to no end. This is a shame. I paid over or about $300 on sale total for the both of them. This is bad business. At this point I rated JCP A 1 if it was a ZERO I WOULD HAVE GIVEN JCP A ZERO. I AM DONE WITH JCP. I pray everybody read this.

I purchased two suitcases online and picked both up in the store. After submitting my order, I realized I forgot to apply my $10.00 reward. When I picked them up, I asked the clerk I could return one and repurchase it using my reward. I was told I could. It was a HUGE surprise, AFTER the refund had been completed, to discover the return value was LESS than the actual purchase price. Upon closer examination of my original purchase receipt when I got home (which was online, not a printed), it does state that the return price is less than the purchase price. In total, I ended up paying MORE for the same item AFTER I used the reward money! How can this be even LEGAL??? The return amount should be the SAME as the purchase price, unles there is a clearly stated "reshelving" fee, which there was not the case! There was NO mention of a reshelving charge ANYWHERE! JCPenney is a RIPOFF! I, for one, am no longer shopping at JCPenneys!

I will never order anything else from JC Penney. I ordered something from them and they sent me the wrong size. I sent the item back and they took charged me $8 for shipping it back to them. Beware of sending something back to them.

I have shopped at JC Penny for decades, with very few issues Until my shopping trip on 8/17/24. On this trip I fell in love with their Liz claiborne wide leg cropped jeans, and they were 40% off, to my delight! However, they didn't have my size, therefore, I had to order them online. I placed the order, and my total was a whopping $71.28! When I asked the salesperson what happened to the 40% discount, I was advised that the discount was for in store purchases only, per their policy! I was flabbergasted, and I never knew there was such a policy! I expressed my disappointment, as it was not my fault they didn't have my size in the store. I was also told that they couldn't cancel the order, in the store, and that I had to wait 24 hours before I could cancel the order. I called customer service today, and was advised that they could not cancel my order, and to contact the store, who always had the ability to cancel the order in the store. I am very disappointed in how JC Penny makes a difference in their customers, with respect to discounts, and the run around that I am getting with respect to rectifying this situation. I can say that I will have to think long and hard before I shop there again!

Several times I have placed online orders and received whatever they felt like shipping, not what was ordered. I've also received a package for a recent order and all that was shipped was a bunch of plastic. Customer Service tried to say it was tampered with, but it was sealed. They just stuffed a bunch of plastic in the package and shipped it. I was able to get a refund, but because the representative refused to resend the item without me placing a new order the item is now sold out.

Their socks are not the same as they use to be. I bought black socks 4yrs ago and they were thicker and probably 90-100% cotton. Now jcpenney is saying their not all cotton. I bought new socks this past week and the socks aren't thicker and very poorly made now. Must be the inflation and poor fabric they're using now

Today is Monday, August 13, 2024. I have been outside waiting for my order since 5:45 pm. They cancel the first time after 30 minutes. They asked you to come back later. I went HEB and shopped for thirty minutes. Now, I have checked in again. The story now is there is a problem with the order and there will be another delay. It's now 7:09 pm and I'm still waiting. No one has come out yet. At 7:10 pm it says to come into the store. Is this the way you treat your customers with handicaps, young children, cripple and disabled. Wow, you guys need to close down permanently.

Silvia has waited on me a few times now. She is very helpful and got me a great price on a new mattress and box spring set! She also helped me with the mattress cover and some new pillows. She has helped me with new towels both for my husband and myself. Always happy to help! A really great employee for JCP!

Is this company even serious? My fiance ordered my wedding band july 20th. It is august 9th and after making a phone call to see where my ring is. He is informed it's no longer in stock he will receive refund. Wedding Is in 16 days and now we have to go out shopping for another ring. Great customer service you have. So great will never shop here again

I placed an order online and paid extra to have the order quick shipped as I live an hour from the closest store and needed the item for an upcoming trip. When I received the item it still had the security tag on it! So I had to end up driving to the store anyway. When I contacted customer service they just said so sorry for the inconvenience and they would make a note of it! No offer for reimbursement! I’ll think twice before I ever purchase from them again. Not happy!

This is a horrible company. They used a 3rd party delivery service to deliver the package that we ordered our kids school clothes through, I had to file a police report because it was their protocol and I keep getting a run around saying the shipping address was right. They hired a cheap 3rd party service that delivered to the wrong house and forged a signature. They haven’t made it right . Been an on going issue for a week

Today my card wouldn’t work at the Stonebriar JC Penney. Maleli was at the counter, she called customer service for me and she patiently waited for 10 minutes while I was on the phone resolving the issue. She has great customer service, I really appreciated her kindness!

Horrible customer service. They don't tell you anywhere that if you use a coupon it won't count for the free shipping. And what I called them and I found out I was 54 cents off of free shipping they basically said sucks to be you.
