Wrong color and size was shipped. My order total was $86, yet I have to pay return shipping and my total refund is only $66. I already paid for shipping in my order! What the heck is going on in this world?! These companies should be shut down. I will never deal with a JC Penney n- line or in-store ever again! And I will surely let all my friends and family aware of their customer service both in person and on social media.

Never buy dress pants from JC Penney's. They are like Walmart's bad clothes. They don't fit.

Order 3 pair of shoes on line. Received a rug and some kids shoes. Not what I ordered. They tell me to return the items for refund and pay them again for the items to be reshipped. Refund expected in 2 weeks. Shoes expected in 2 weeks. They will tie up my money and my merch for 14 days. But want to be paid immediately. That's not right. So now no shoes and no money.

My husband and I went shopping at JCP Peace Way store. We saw the men's band ring on sale there on display at $499.99 and $699.99. My husband asked the sales associate to show him a ring, which she did and at same time removes the sale price tags off the displays. When she totalled it up, saying it was $812+ with taxes after discount, I asked why did the tags on display say $499.99, the one he chose and she replied they are no longer on sale, that's why I took the sale tags and pointed at the sign behind saying they're now up to 60% from the regular price. That was not right. If the price tag had been there when we arrived, and quietly she took them off. We would have just continued shopping. Disappointed with the service she gave us and we did not purchase it. She stated they'll be on sale again on Valentine's day sale. What?

If you're a Handicapped person do not shop at this store. They push Handicapped employees out the door and aren't will to accommodate them.

Can I give less than one star? I purchased a dining room set from Penneys for over $1200. I have had this set for less than 2 weeks and everything was fine until this morning. I came into the room and there was a 2-1/2 inch crack on the top of the back of one of the chairs. Penney's wants a $125 restocking fee and a $95 return fee because I did not report this within 24 hours of delivery. So they do not stand behind the product. I've been on hold for over 25 minutes -- still waiting to talk to supervisor. DO NOT BUY FROM PENNEYS. Do not buy Signature Design by Ashley Realyn 5 piece dining set.

JCPENNEYS is a terrible company. I placed an order with them, never received the order but they kept my money. Customer service is a joke. They were not helpful at all. BEWARE of shopping at JCPENNEYS. They are too many other places to shop where customers are treated fairly.

Their customer service is the worst service I have ever experienced. I called regarding a gift card pin number. I was trying to place an online order. Instead I got the run around by 4 people and nobody could help me. Besides the incompetency of these people, they can't speak English in our USA ~ American world. Not a happy camper today!

I placed an order for Christmas gifts for my children. When I picked up the first order I got the box opened and an important item was missing . I was told the only thing they could do is issue a refund. Order number 2023341412675410. The item missing was Therabouts Hooded puffer jacket, which was supposed to be a gift . I placed another order (2023350412969887). This item was supposed be ready for pick up that same day and I never received a phone call letting me know what was going on. I finally called and they told me it was being shipped from another store. Again this was a Christmas gift that I never received. That order was placed on December 16,2023 so it could be given as a Christmas gift. I’m now being told it will arrive at the store on the 29th and I can’t get a refund until then. I’m now out of money because I had to purchase it from another store. I was inconvenienced more than once and will never use JCPenney service’s again.

The customer service that I received from James at the return desk for online orders was not good. He told me that I could not return a coat because it didn't have the tag on it even though I had the receipt. The receipt have been taken off the code because it was supposed to be sent as a gift, but was the wrong size. Then I spoke with his supervisor Lisa who was less than friendly and not helpful as well. Finally I spoke with assistant store manager Meshelle, she was finally able to assist me properly. The selection in the store has gone down dramatically over the years. I used to rely on JCPenney's for their Ultra tall clothing. I can hardly find anymore tall clothes anymore. It seems as though they may be going out of business. The attitude of the employees and the selection says they may be near their end. So sad.

Last 3 times I have made purchases from JCPenny website, I have had to make returns and was not reimbursed the total amt of the return. First time(2 yrs ago) issue resolved after speaking with a supervisor. I had already had several conversations w/ cust service to no avail. 2nd time( this past summer), I again attempted to resolve via customer service. Finally filed dispute via PPal and they were able to get my refund credited back to me but a lot of time and trouble for me to get this resolved. 3rd time...placed 2 orders in Oct. Returned some items from each order and used JCPenney labels on return. One return order was credited back to me correctly, the other was never credited back. I have emails from Penneys that confirm they received the order and a f/u email that says "refund is on the way". This is from 11/7/23. Because that refund was never put back on credit card, I called cust service and was told it had been taken care of. It had not. I am now again disputing via PPal and have finally been sent a check for some of, but not all of what I am owed. I do a lot of ordering on-line and have never had trouble with returns from any other merchant except Penneys. Due to these 3 back to back experiences I will never do business with Penneys again.

Pretty upset about the service received from this store. I purchased my little girl a pair of boots approximately 2 weeks ago and the shoe has popped loose near the toe. I contacted them via chat and was told I would have to take it to a store for return. I do not have this store locally. That is why I purchased online. Then she tells me it would also have to be in the store when exchanging and that I would have to have our boots in the original package. I'm sorry but I don't keep packaging after we open items. Who ever thought I would receive faulty products? I will never order from this store again and I have always loved JCP.

Your stores are awlful! Clothes on the floor. Not nicely placed on shelves. A pig sty!!!! I was in the kids dept. the underwear was scattered on the floor. Pkgs opened. Pkgs ripped opened and obviously looks like thing are being stolen. Mr. Pieffer just be spinning in his grave. I used to work there at Westfarms Mall store and we always kept our area clean and neat! Your stores are a disgrace putting it lightly!!!! Gee I wonder why a lot of the stores have closed!!! Shameful! You should all be ashamed of yourselves!

The Manager at Parks Mall Penney’s isn’t a very nice guy. He’s condescending and rude. If you don’t like your job then don’t work with people. He has his say and walks away. It wouldn’t hurt to crack a smile. What ever happened to customer service? Penney’s is so expensive so to be treated so poorly is beyond me.

I ordered Christmas presents for the guys in my family and they shipped all of them to an address I lived at 8 years ago! I called to ask what happened… the correct address is on my account, which they confirmed, but they still refused to resend my order. I have no idea why they would send it there because I ordered gifts to my new address last year and got them so it was definitely an error on their end. I’ve never experienced something like this. I closed my account and will never shop there again.
