I entered the mid rivers JC Penny store at 11am to return a jewelry item. There was one store employee at the jewelry counter waiting on a customer. The associate called a manager over to help with the transaction and after completing her assisting the manager walked away without any acknowledgement of me standing there for the past 15 minutes. After completing her assistance of the other customer the associate came to me to attempt to assist until 2 other customers walked up to which the associate walked away from me and called for assistance to help the other customers. When I questioned why she called for assistance for them and not for me she claimed her reason was because she was "waiting on a customer and couldn't stop to call anyone" yet she interrupted her assisting ME to call someone. It took me 23 minutes to return an item, which to me was OUTRAGEOUS!! The manager was INCOMPETENT and apparently does not know what 'customer service' is by allowing a customer to wait for as long as I did. I will NEVER shop at JC Penny nor will I EVER order online from a JC Penny store again!

I ordered 2 shoes online and both of them got canceled because not available. but they still show available and ready to order online after 7 days. Customer said they shows available in inventory but not in warehouse, what the heck. How can JCP do business even no clue about their inventory. Shame on them.

I saw two cute kid dresses priced at 70% off. Went to pay asked to have her check the price because they were in the 70% off. The lady just rang them up and gave me the price to pay and I asked if that was with the discount she said no. So I reminded her she said prove it so I told her to the rack they were hanging on, with other just like them, she said no it’s only for these ones and pointed to the other dresses on the same rack. I said the tag says 70% off she just said nope and so I did not buy them. She then said I can give you a small discount is said no I want the discount that the store has advertised them. Bait & switch! Fraud! It has happened alot in the past year at this location!

I just closed my JCP account after 45 years! In November, I sent my husband a JCP link for a sweater that I would like for my birthday. JCP has closed the store nearby and I don't use my JCP credit card very often and evidently the credit card was saved in my account. I'm the person who pays the bills but we never received a bill in December and then we received a bill with a late fee and interest in January. It is difficult to get to a real person and everything is automated on the website but I completed a dispute form and then received a response that they HAD sent a December invoice and I still owed the additional fees. So, my $29 sweater ended up costing us $61! I only shop JCP occasionally online, at which time I will just use a regular credit card.

I ordered several things from Christmas they said when I ordered them we will guarantee them by this date they didn't one of them didn't come by that date it was well after that day and they were nasty about it they would not answer their phone at the store the lady at the register said we were told not to answer a phone no customer service whatsoever I've had an account for some time now but never again do yourself a favor shop anywhere but JCPenney's

I went to JCPenney and found a pair of shoes I adored. However there was no box or sticker on them. I took them to the register where Kendra agreed to hold them and find a price by tomorrow. Which she did. When I returned the next day Angele had the shoes for me with a price. Even better a sale price. Thank you Kendra and Angele for your customer first service.

They suck as an employer. And no respect when it comes to going to doctors and dentists. Management cares about pushing credit cards too much. Give me a damn break!!!

The worst, they sent wrong order and asking me to return which is fine with me but then they wanted to me to reorder. I can order other stuff in other stores return them back and they will send the correct one. This one you have to call a different department so annoying as if it was my mistake they sent the wrong order. So much hassle buying from them.

Horrible horrible horrible. Customer service with foreign speaking people you cannot understand and who do not care about you - they just go by a scripted program -do not listen to you, talk over you. Keep your money. No delivery. Lasership is just as bad. No one in charge can be reached. It's a big joke. DO NOT BUY ONLINE FROM JCPENNEY!

JC Penny is unfortunately looking like they are on their way out. The stores are a mess. The merchandise is always everywhere and their employees, while very nice, are subject to the archaic policies that JC Penney has in place. For instance, they are always offering coupons and then when you go to use the coupon there is always a reason why you can't. They just are not to the level of what you would expect a nice department store to be. They refuse to remove a late fee that was 4 hours late. I get it that it's my responsibility. But totally forgot. When I called I was told that was not possible. Really? I pay my bill monthly. And I can tell you this I will pay that late fee and I am never shopping JC Penney again. Policies that are not customer oriented. And again, this is not about the employees. They do the best with what they have. Checkouts are always 20 people deep as there are only so many open. Returns have to go to a specific spot. Despite that I have never had a sales person act rude or indifferent. They are only doing their job with what resources they've been give. Step it up Penney's. You look like you are about to go out of business.

Bought the Stratford Park Jemma 7-piece bedding set - order# 2023328417348084 and it was shipped very quickly and is a pretty set. Came with everything you need - bed skirt, pillow shams, comforter and decorative pillows - just needed to buy a set of sheets to match!

I called the customer service number for help...someone picked up the phone, didn't say anything and I could hear people talking and laughing in the background...I said HELLO rather loudly and finally she answered me. I asked if this was customer service and she said yes. I hung up. If the customer is an afterthought, I won't be placing any orders with this sub par company with sub par employees working for them

I bought a suit from Jc Penny's and it came in and it did not fit so I returned it and they received my refund on November 28 2023 and I am writing this on January 20 2024 and still have not been refunded, and everytime I call I get a different story. Erin at the coustmer care advocate Team has been handing my case since the beginning and has done absolutely nothing about it she is incredibly incompetent and really bad at her job she should be fired

I placed two orders through my JCP account. The first defaulted to an address I hadn't lived at for years. I noticed this on the emailed order confirmation. I called JCP. They said it had been more than 20 minutes (3 hours) since purchase, so there was nothing they could do. They said that I should call UPS when I received a shipping notice. The order sat with JCP for two days before a label was printed and another two days before UPS picked it up from JCP. I called UPS, and they said JCP (the shipper) would have to contact UPS to change the address, a common practice. JCP then said they couldn't do that. UPS will only change the delivery after the delivery is refused on the first try. JCP screwed up my delivery address, refused to change it two days before the label was printed, lied about how to resolve it, and wouldn't take steps to resolve it with the shipper. I sell online, so I know how easy it would have been for them to resolve the issue. I'm out $100 unless the resident at my old house is honest and refuses/sends back the order. Meanwhile, the customer service representatives were unpleasant, and disempowered. I felt sorry for them. I will never step foot in a JCP store, or visit their site, again

I purchased 2 cardigans on January 4, 2024 with ship to store arrival stated as 1/10/24. The next day, it showed “in transit to store”, with the money removed from my VISA. It is now 1/17 and still showing “ in transit to store”. After speaking with customer service as a “ valued customer” - I was told it was probably lost and I would need go to the store and file for a refund for a product that I never received, 52 mile round trip. This isn’t the first time I’ve had issues with JC Penney, but it is the last!

I have had a CC account with JCPenney's since 1972 (51 years) and granted I have not used it for a while, but today I went to use it in the store and it was declined. What?? So I used my MC and completed my purchases. I call JCP when I got home and they said they closed the account in July of 2023. I asked why didn't I get notification of the closure and they just said they don't give notice. Really after 51 years they don't give notice ?? OK so no more JCP even with my MC.

Jcpenney sent me someone else's package. I returned it. I never received $88.45 in items that i ordered. They refunded the items that I never received in 6 sporadic small increments that only totaled $53.14. I've called customer service atleast 6 times.They claim to elevate the situation which I then get an email claiming they refunded me. They have not. I asked to talk to the manager and they said they don't call anyone, they only email. They never respond to my email and when I call back, they say the case is closed and then the circle of lies begins all over. I have emailed them a copy of the statement proving they did not refund me the full amount. They dont reply. This order was placed 12/8 and I'm still battling this with them. This is in fact stealing when they keep your money for items you don't receive.

My sister went to you to buy a watch to track her steps daily. Your advertisement offered a good sell, but she didn’t read the very fine print, She could not afford it with your bu——-t advertising. Are you people aware that older people live here, living on social security only? I’am a very concerned family member!!

I paid my balance in full yet a couple weeks later got a $2 charge and bill for "interest". I called, waited nearly 1/2 hour for a manager and asked for the charge to be removed. (Very poor business practice, as it degrades customer perception and probably costs more than $2 to generate the bill. I understood that the charge would be removed. Instead, got an additional $2 "late fee" and the following month JCPenney reported the late payment to the credit bureaus!! I ended up paying the then $8.56 in fees and after waiting 32 minutes on hold for an agent to start to tell my "why" I was charged the disrespectful fees, I explained that I have endless choices on where to spend my money, but only "some" of the choices deserve my business. JCPenney no longer deserves my business!!!
