Dealing with LG trying to get warranty work completed is a nightmare. The refrigerator compressors are bad, they are to replace them if they go out. Sounds easy right, nope, you call customer service they do everything possible to try and not give you the parts needed for your repairman. They also don’t cover cost to repairman or the cost of items lost by this faulty part. Never again will I buy anything made by LG. Total junk and getting repairs are worse. By anything else you will be better off.

My parents have been without a refrigerator for two months because of incompetence of the service department at LG. I have offered to buy them a new quality replacement but of course they are old school and hard headed and keep believing in their warranty and that LG will come through. Bottom line is an elderly couple on a budget or anyone should not have to deal with negligence from a manufacturer when their products are under warranty. My advice stay away from LG products.

Good Lord I don’t know what kind of boneheaded cavemen at LG okayed the production of the stainless dishwasher model no. LDFC2423V. Of course it’s the less expensive option but I mean throwing gang signs at the dishwasher shouldn’t be necessary. The control panel requires you to simultaneously touch two buttons (labels) at the same time in order to even start the damn thing. Not user friendly at all. You have to either press the two buttons before it lets you start a cycle or it doesn’t sense your finger trying to turn it on. But when you walk by or lean on the counter to grab a bowl or glass, the whole damn thing will turn on or off due to my thigh brushing against it. Honestly my genitalia has powered on or cancelled a cycle more than my fingers have deliberately tried to do the same. I had to walk our house sitter through a 7 minute FT tutorial on how to start the dishwasher when we were out for the week. Describing the start process was like trying to summon a demon from the 1700s to start this damn dishwasher. If it’s not the buttons and start up process, it’s the clicking sound the door makes when it shuts. Very loud high pitched click which is very off putting especially early in morning. Also. Don’t even get me started on the LG range. The stove top is straight up unsafe. The burners turn on way too easily. They have turned on without our knowledge many times because the safety feature which requires user to press dial before turning is not sufficient or strong enough so burners turn on easily if there is a negligent amount of pressure applied to a dial even in passing or turning on the vent above. If a body part brushes one of the dials, the burner turns on most of the time and has burned objects near stove top. Terrible appliances. Not user friendly and frankly unsafe. Would not recommend.

Fraudulent customer service department charged my card 647 to repair refrigerator. They did not repair we had to buy a new one. When you same number that could charge your credit card immediately now it takes 4-6 weeks for a refund IF it is approved by upper management. Crooks .. they have what they call a presidential Liaison to respond that is a Robot that is offensive and offers you coupons and asks you to rate your experience. Ridiculous say far away from any lg repair that says they will fix everything if you pay $647

God Help me i want to throw this piece of metal LG sent me at their customer service department! I ordered a washer dryer stacking kit NOVEMBER 2023, paid for expedited shipping, got it 11-12 days later (expedited???) and IT WAS MISSING 1 OF IT'S 3 PIECES - it's useless to me. I've been trying for 4 months (today is March 30 2024!) to get a replacement of just that missing piece or a refund. WHen I call they blah blah blah and tell me to call back in "3 to 4 days" and I've been doing this by phone , email and text for MONTHS. They have basically said FEDEX lost that piece and TOO BAD, SO SAD we aren't going to do anything because now it's been 4 months and we closed your order but forgot to file a claim with FEDEX in time and they denied it. NEVER EVER EVER order from LG.com. It came late, was delivered missing pieces, the company doesn't give a $H!t and strung me along for MONTHS without absolutely no help at all.

I strongly recommend not purchasing LG brand appliances. In 2019, we purchased a LG brand microwave (model LMV1831BD), dishwasher (model LDT7808BD), refrigerator (model LMXS28626D), dual oven/range (model LTE4815BD). The display for the microwave did not work upon installation and the numbers flash. A year later, the display for the dishwasher started to flash. In 2023, two burners stopped working. One was the middle back the other was a front burner with three coils. Recently our refrigerator/freezer stopped cooling. I’ve spent countless hours, and money, on what should not be broken in the first place. Appliances used to last 20+ years. I cannot stress enough how disappointing and frustrating it is to spend so much money on appliances, only to have them all fail within 5 years of purchase. DO NOT PURCHASE LG BRAND APPLIANCES!!!

As I was going g through my Facebook memories of 4 years ago I was reminded how LG stoke my money due to a defective TV I bought just after Christmas 2019, which went whitescreen 2 months later. Long story short, they accused us of "amaging the tv" and did not replace or refund tv. I made a promise to NEVER buy nor encourage anyone to buy LG. I've bought new household appliances since then including refrigerator and stove, all NOT LG.

I just had a new LG side by side refrigerator delivered, I plugged it in and proceeded Togo through the user manual, there seems to be two different models of this side by side refrigerator but the manual only shows one models temp setting and no information for the other, (the one I purchased) I have tried looking online and get nothing, frustrating.

If you are considering buying LG appliances I would strongly suggest against it. This has been my experience dealing with this company. I purchased a range, microwave, dishwasher, and fridge in March 2023 in January 2024 my oven stopped working. The code for the malfunction was F9 which means it’s the igniter, thermostat or circuit board. With it most commonly being the igniter. I know what the wait and stress of waiting for them to send out a repair guy would be so I replaced the igniter. A little tidbit about the igniter a LG igniter is $234 or you can buy one for $55 and just put it on the existing bracket it is the same igniter. So I replaced the igniter. It wasn’t the igniter, so I call LG to begin the process of getting it fixed. Since it was not very old and shouldn’t having problems already I wanted them to replace it. Because I’m obviously a unsatisfied customer with the appliance not even lasting a year. They wouldn’t, they say they need a chance to fix it first. So I say okay when is my appointment. They couldn’t give me one right then I had to wait till they put in a work order with their available repair shops. So they call me the next day and tell me 3 weeks but can’t tell you the time of the appointment till the day before the appointment. Finally the day comes it’s going to get fixed. I can cook in my oven again. Nope the repair guy comes with just an igniter pulls my brand new igniter out and tells me your igniter is cracked. In my head I’m fuming and laughing. I can’t say anything because if they know you replaced it they would void your warranty. So I let him put another brand new igniter in and guess what low and behold. That’s not the problem. So now it’s going to be another 3 weeks while they order the right part. And again won’t be able to tell you the time of your appointment till the day before it. So yep plan to take another day off work. Here’s the thing these appliances are on Wi-Fi they give a code that something is wrong. They know what parts are need off the code. I even researched it and told them what parts they would most likely need before they came the first time as I already knew it was definitely not the igniter. They could’ve shown up prepared with all three parts needed to fix it. Then just returned the parts that weren’t used. They tell me that was just an assessment of my appliance. Why do you need an assessment when you have a code that does that and you already know what parts you may need for that code. It was the circuit board. Also researching, I came across a lawsuit in the USA. The LG fridges lasting only four years max. This company charges top dollar for garbage appliances. I will never purchase LG products again.

LG online shop showed a product WAS available to order but after ordering AND after I PAID, LG emailed to say my order had NOT been despatched and was on HOLD! I immediately emailed back and canceled the order, but despite NOT having received ANY product, LG still took our money. I have spent over a week (so far) sending emails and phoning LG Customer Service (2 calls lasted more than one and half hours) but they STILL haven't refund me! Amazingly, LG also rejected my negative review of LG Customer Services Department, and send me 2 emails asking me to change my Review before they would consider publishing on the LG review site! Do not trust this company! Date of experience: 20 March 2024

I have had an issue with my over the range microwave and stove for months just to be told they have been discontinued. I have sent you the serial numbers, model numbers and the original purchase receipt. Now I'm being told I have to remove the units, take a picture of the serial numbers with it cut in half. This whole process has been aggravating and a huge inconvenience.

I am buying LG appliances from many years. Recently I bought a new LG refrigerator. It started to discard white powder from the water dispenser immediately after the delivery. It is not scale, like LG is trying to convince me to think. It is a white powder. This is my third LG refrigerator and I have never had this problem before, and the water is the same. LG has doesn't want to send a technician to check and fix the problem.

It's a shame my 50 inch LG TV finally kicked the bucket I decided to buy myself a 70 inch my wife loves the picture so much then we decided to go with LG again I did however personally replace the LED strips in our old 50 inch so we put it in the bedroom I want to register the product which only gives you 10 days to do so and I read down in the bottom arbitration notice there is no way I was going to keep it TV that had to make me go through arbitration to get it fixed however since I did buy this TV and it came with a two year warranty rather than one I decided to double check with Costco to see if they're the ones that will fix it over LG I did let the person know their phone call was also being recorded so he was very careful with his words after an hour talking to supervisors he told me they will call me back can they get 4 hours later unfortunately it wasn't news I wanted to hear their agreement with TV manufacturers for the extra year warranty is through LD end unfortunately if there was a problem I would need to go through their arbitration this supervisor from Costco was fantastic to me to try the TV out for 60 days but me sure if I didn't want it I brought it back within 90 today's He recommended some other TV brands Samsung was a very popular model with great sound quality and if I'm not satisfied with my LG TV to offset the cost they're going to send me $100 Costco gift card and I can keep it even if I decide to keep the LG TV Booooooo and shame on you LG I have no idea you are in this much hot water with your refrigerators and you're class action lawsuit unfortunately because of this you just lost yaaaaaa Costco you have a loyal customer for life I would mention the supervisor's name but I definitely don't want them getting in trouble And I will be honest LG is only getting two stars because of my previous experience with my 50 inch TV Never mind after talking to LG's customer service they're getting one star

Exactly 3 years to the date of delivery of my French Door, bottom freezer LG refrigerator the compressor died.. fridge just stopped working. I called customer service on 3/6/24 and they sent their authorized service company Expert Electronic Services (1.8* review out of 40 reviews) to install a new compressor. Their only worker to service LG refrigerators came out with a new compressor and was here over 90 minutes. I asked what he was doing when I smelled a funny smell and he said he was welding the compressor to one of the cooling pipes in the cooling system in the refrigerator. He finished.. I did not hear the compressor turn on, not did I feel the fridge getting cold. He told me the compressor just vibrates and the fridge takes 15 hours to cool and the freezer takes overnight to reach its temperature. The next morning it was as if he did nothing. Nothing was cool. I called LG customer service and explained what happened and they said they never heard of a compressor being welded in. They wanted to send the same guy back to fix it/examine the damage and I said I wanted another company Another company, Vivi Electronic Services called me to ask what was done so far to my fridge. When I told them that the guy welded the compressor to the cooling system pipe he said I cannot repair that or undo what he did, that the person damaged my cooling system and voided my warranty. I called customer service again and told them what Vivi Electronic Services said and asked to speak to a manager and they agreed, said LG was going to sue the first company, send an In-House LG Technician to examine my fridge and if found to be damaged they would offer me a replacement or a refund. This was on or about March 13. This never happened. Instead the merry go round started and LG customer service kept repeating the same thing... to send out a repair person and that my case would be escalated. On March 19 I thought the In-House LG Technician was coming to examine the condition of my fridge to approve the refund but to my surprise when I opened the door it was the same technician who welded the compressor to the cooling system and damaging my fridge in the first place. I said I didn't want him touching it again, fearing more damage.. Vivi Electronic Services said I was lucky he didn't puncture the freon line.. that is dangerous. The first guy said he was there to weld closed the hole in the cooling system pipe he created when incorrectly installing the compressor. I said no, and immediately called LG customer service and they said that I refused service so they couldn't do anything. I reminded them that an LG in-house technician was supposed to come out to look at my fridge to okay my refund so they said "let me set up another service call for you", at which point I lost it a little. I said is this for the in-house LG Technician and they said no for a repair, and so I was on the merry go round again getting nowhere with customer service and one day shy of 2 weeks without a fridge. I really thought LG was a reputable company and would do right by me, but unfortunately I have no choice at this point except to involve an Attorney. Even if it were possible to fix the whole in the cooling pipe, I shouldn't have to live with a 3 year old $2000.00 fridge that is a patch job that may not last because their authorized service company caused the damage. I was also told by the second service company that what the repair guy did voided my warranty.
