I booked a holiday to is La canela in June near the Portuguese border in Spain full stop it seemed a good price for half board just under £800 in half term with myself and two children however when I arrived at Seville airport there was no transfer I waited and waited after getting through to love holidays on the chat page they inform you that I never paid for a transfer I was not aware of this and was shocked I had together taxi and 3 buses which talked about 6 or 7 hours to my hotel full stop this cost about £80 each way however the taxi would have cost about €200 I can't believe I didn't book the transfer the time I wasn't prompted I don't know what happened with that but I'm pretty sure transfer showed is included however they inform me they hadn't I've never booked a package holiday without transfers before in the event I was very happy with the hotel and I'll stay and I suppose it wasn't really expensive with the added expense of the transfers but it was definitely unexpected

Dated hotel ..too focused on the sporting side of things .no entertainment as bar was closed and has been since pandemic. So 2 days of heavy rain had to stay in room .this is NOT as described on website ..it clearly states entertainment!!!! ,the food in the restaurant was expensive 16euros per person for breakfast .only 3.75 e down the road ..needles to say I will not be returning here for live nor money ..oh can I just say the rooms were cleaned everyday if you wanted them to be ....

Harible service scamers don't book true them They cancel my transfer back to airport wich I pay for No answer from them if they have you money forget about any contact be aware go somewhere else.

We paid for a private transfer from Rome airport (Fiumicino) to central Rome, but despite waiting for over an hour, no driver showed up and no-one answered the phone number we'd be given. This also happened to another family we spoke with at the airport. We ended up getting a taxi at a cost of c£50, which is what we should have done in the first place rather than pay c£200 for the 2-way journey - to be fair the driver showed up for the return journey in plenty of time and we have no complaints about this. But Love Holidays have taken our money and don't answer my emails. I can see from the comments below that they're not likely to either and I don't hold out much hope of a refund. Once bitten, twice shy - I wont be using Love Holidays again.

They messed up transfers and partially refunded. Messed up hotel room and refused to compensate. Gave us a tiny room for a day and then spent all day trying to move to the room we booked. Love holidays takes months to reply tor emails and refuse to refund me for that night. Cancelled one person flying with me. Hotel have refunded £100 to Love Holidays who refuse to pass it on. I would avoid at all costs and just book direct

UPDATE: a representative from the company emailed me requesting proof the transfer never showed up. I provided more than enough information to confirm the transfer did not show to which they responded "thank you for your response Miss Quinn, I'll go ahead and close this ticket". I have reached out every day for the past 2 months and I am still awaiting a refund. This company has taken my money for a service they did not provide and is refusing to speak with me about a refund. They are a SCAM and I advise to AVOID them at all costs. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR TRANSFERS IN PORTUGAL. Waiting over an hour in the airport for pick-up. Had to call several times before a driver eventually showed up. Pick-up for the flight home was scheduled for 7am. No driver arrived. We called the "emergency number". A man, half asleep answered and said someone was on the way. Half an hour later, still no driver. Called the "emergency number" 5 more times and no one bothered to answer. Had to get a taxi and still trying to get a refund. Download the Free Now taxi app and use this. Faster, cheaper and more reliable.

Arrived home from Seville, stayed at the Pension Giraldilla Hotel, can't believe Love holidays were using the photo's that won an award in 2009. When my friend arrived at the hotel, we couldn't believe it was the same hotel. The entrance was locked. we couldn't get in, waited ages before one of the guesses were Spanish and phone the hotel manager on our behalf and got the code for the security box and got us the key for our room. Told us we were on the top floor; he carried our cases up the winding stairs case. NO LIFT. When we reached the top floor, we are elderly ladies we didn't except to be put on the top floor. When we open the door, the room was disgusting, shoddy with one old hand towel and one bath towel to share. nowhere to put our clothes, the bed and shower wasn't clean. I phoned love holidays to complain. I was up till 4 am to get this sort. On the 26th Sept I contacted love holidays 4 times< I got told to contact the receptionist/manager. who was obviously invisible, does not exist. how many times do I have to tell you. It was the same scenario on the 27th Sept and the 28th Sept. Love holidays had trouble contacting the service provider/manager. in total I phoned Love holidays 10 times, asking them to change rooms, wanting a twin-bedded room, same reply contact the service provider/ manager/ receptionist. NO ONE IS HERE ALL LOCKED UP. I let my friend have the bed as she was in bad health, so I got a blanket and a pillow and slept on the floor for 5 nights, fully dressed. A young Spanish lad in the next room, phoned the manager and my friend was trying to speak to him, NO ENGLISH he said, the young lad translates only to receive verbal abuse. the hotel was a dirty excuse for the name, and the break was spoilt by the experience. Two elderly ladies took us ages to get our cases down all those steep winding stairs. We need compensation for all the upset, all the phones I made. This is not a hotel, more like a room for a one-night. NOT RECOMMEND

When it comes to booking and taking your money, it is all great. However, advertising hotel with all facilities while at least 1/4 wasn't running. So much for taking kids to Crete on a family hotel, while no kids entertainment, kids food etc is not provided. It took over two months for someone to respond to my complain (After waiting this long, could not ever bother to greet me using my name). Obviously nothing to be refunded as I did not live chat with Loveholidays while on holiday (not considering every complain is no wi-fi. within the hotel). AVOID THIS COMPANY!!! CUSTOMER SATISFACTION IS NOT THEIR PRIORITY!!!

I just am currently annoyed with the customer service. Today Saturday I am left with no other choice but to get my own transport to faro airport even though I had payed for transfers. Each company blaming other and obviously no one willing to get me to airport. I had changed my flight and was picked up at correct time on arrival but for some reason my departure time is different apparently now even though its on my printed copy. I will be back in Ireland before I waz to be transferred to faro. Nobody wanted to help Very poor quality of service 😕

I booked this holiday in January 2022. After 5 months we asked to change our destination to a Greece holiday. For personal reasons we didn’t want to go to Jamaica anymore. Was told it was all booked here are your flights and then the week later told sorry there’s no flights available you’ll have to pick another destination. So we picked Egypt. And again the week later I was told there are no flights!! So twice I booked something and TWICE I was told there’s no longer any flights and not one of you are going to help me. So now I’ve been messaging and calling every single day for over a month and still don’t have a clue where I’m going on holiday as not one of you even tried to help us. Every time I rang I spoke to a different person and every time I had to re explain myself. Your staff are rude. I would be told to hang up as no one can help me. So we decided to stick with our original holiday to Jamaica. Surprise surprise exactly one week before we were supposed to go I was sent the most breif of messages telling me there are no longer ANY flights and we can’t go. Absolutely disgusting customer service!! Disgraceful. Both me and my partner have paid a lot of money nearly 3 thousand pounds and you are telling me now I can’t go? Absolute joke. I can’t believe how badly I’ve been treated. I then get put on new flights and I’m excited. I paid £100 to get to the airport. I get to check in and I am told I need a VISA to get into the country when I specifically asked if I needed VISA and was told no. So I did not get to go on my holiday that I’ve paid 3 thousand pounds for. I’m self employed. I’ve been out of work for over 2 weeks. No income. No money. I’ve been absolutely devastated and when I tried to contact you to help me I was told to calm down by various members of your staff. I was mortified stuck at the airport with no where to go. I used my money to get to the airport. I wasn’t planning on needing to have to get home. I was so embarrassed. Suitcase with no where to go. The staff at the airport laughed and did not even try and help. The service I have experienced from LOVE HOLIDAYS over the past 3 months is absolutely disgraceful. I did not get to go on my holiday. I was refused onto the plane. YOU we’re the ones that booked me on a connecting flights and YOU were the ones that told me I did NOT need a visa. I want a full refund and compensation on top of this. Disgusting. I’ve never felt so disrespected in my life. Over wanting a nice holiday. I’ll be suing you to high heavens. I have a big social media following and I will be showing this to everyone and make sure no one uses this company again. I want my refund ASAP.

Booked Portugal with Love Holidays, got the hotel at 12am and no one was there to check us in. Called a number left on the window and no answer for an hour straight. It’s now 1am, we’re homeless in the pitch black in a foreign country. We call love holidays emergency line and explain the situation - ‘we will sort this and call back in 10 minutes’. It’s been 30 mins so we call back, same lady answers and she put the phone down. We called back at least 20 times and kept getting the phone put down, staff were even laughing. No concern, no professionalism and NO HELP. We had to search for another hotel and pay £200 for 1 night as the only hotels around were classy and expensive (as opposed to our dog house). Called love holidays next day and they tried to blame us for not telling hotel it’s a late check in HA. Got told investigation will now take 56 days. Still no sign of money, no apologies and no contact. What a disgrace of a company. Don’t be fooled by the lower prices - do yourself a favour and book with a proper agency. DISGRACE.

Love holidays were absolutely useless, I wouldn't even rate them as 1 star, I would say negative 5 star. Their website was useless, not working most of the time, operator kept coming up with wrong booking, a holiday company that doesn't actually resolve anything, we booked two holidays one for this sept and one for next april, seriously wish we had not used them, used TUI in the past but saw these online and thought we would give them a chance. SUCH A BAD IDEA!!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! THEY ARE UNPROFESSIONAL AND COMPLETELY USELESS, SO MUCH STRESS, NEED ANOTHER HOLIDAY WITH TUI, SO PROFESSIONAL AND GREAT AT SORTING OUT ANY ISSUES AND DATE CHANGES, TUI ARE AMAZING, LOVE HOLIDAYS NEED TO VISIT TUI AND GET SOME POINTERS ABOUT HOW TO RUN A PROFESSIONAL BUSINESS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

Our flight was delayed by 3 hours, we arrived at the hotel at 2am in the morning to find the hotel didn’t have our booking, the hotel were great and gave us a room, no issues with the hotel was actually really nice, good staff, but let down by loveholidays unprofessionalism, will never use them again

If I could give no stars I would. We booked private transfer to and from hotel and airport. Our return transfer did not arrive and we were advised to get an alternative transfer by the cab company. 3.30am local time. We tried to do this, but when failed. Rang Love Holidays Customer Service rep on phone suggested we find someone Spanish to help us! Said they could not book us an alternative transfer. We were left to fend for ourselves We eventually got a taxi to Barcelona airport, but missed our flight home. We had to make own arrangements to get new flights. Love Holidays response: they have refunded our original cab fare and told us to contact airline for refund of flights. I have pointed out that airline will not give us refund as the flight left on time. We missed it because their agent did not provide the service we had paid for. They selected the transfer company. We thought we were getting a package holiday. this is clearly not the case. You are left to your own devices. We had 13 hours in Barcelona airport and are out of pocket by over £1,000 (2 adults and 3 children). Customer service is abysmal, they offered the cab fare back £117.00 then sent another email saying this has been sent. When I complained told me the matter is now closed and they will no longer correspond with me. Be warned DO NOT BOOK WITH LOVE HOLIDAYS they will leave you stranded if things go wrong. THEY DO NOT SELL PACKAGE HOLIDAYS

Worst travel company I have ever come across... I have had a very dark and depressing few years, with a lot of family stresses including health being a real negative factor. With my mum. Fighting cancer, going through chemo and my dad battling diabetes, having both his legs chopped off. I booked a holiday in April with love holidays and in August they went and cancelled the whole holiday. I contacted them and said why did you do this? They said they are sorry and that I should use the website and book it again?? I went online and I saw the holiday but it was £1200 more expensive and the luxury swim up room was no longer available. I had booked individually with my 5 of my friends and I was the instigater for the holiday but I got done bad. They said they can not do anything else for me. Not even offer me a discount. But then could book me a standard room in the hotel at a more expensive rate than I paid for the swim up. I explained my concerns above and how the holiday is needed for my mental well being and it was ignored. I am gutted I have booked multiple holidays with them. I would never use them again even if I had to. I would not recommend them to anyone. Now I know that sometimes it's the individual who ruins a companies reputation but in this case its a collective experience from multiple agents that has ruined my whole year and sent me back to my dark days.... I Hope they use this particular experience and better them selves. Its not nice feeling the way I am because of a company that's supposed to make you love holidays!

Please don’t use them! Booked a weekend break in Milan primarily because of flight time from Liverpool. Was paying in instalments. Four weeks later flight was changed to five hours later on return. Couldn’t get back to work on time. Tried to contact them but only on sms to foreign call centre. Told was airlines fault. Then got email from Ryan air to say refund given for flights. This is mysteriously sent to love holidays and not to me. Trying to contact again but again not their fault. Alternative flights are no good as it’s a weekend break so I have the option of cancelling but costing me£180 for the privaledge. I booked the break as a package because of the great flights but this has changed and they can’t provide this so why can’t I get my money back. Absolute rubbish and they aren’t even in ABTA now. Not surprising. Don’t trust them and do not use.

NEVER USE THIS COMPANY. The holiday was a disaster from start to finish. LoveHolidays make it impossible for you to seek help or make a complaint. Myself and my partner are extremely unhappy with our experience over the last week. We booked this holiday in April, five months prior to the departure date. The holiday was a disaster from start to finish. To begin with, upon arriving to the hotel at 1/2am we were greeted by front desk (not a warm welcome at all). We gave our names for the booking to the man at front desk who then walked off without saying a word and another man appeared instead. He smiled and said ‘we have a problem for you’, so I thought he was joking due to the big grin on his face. He then proceeded to tell us that we had no room in the hotel we booked five months earlier. They had made a mistake on their end and we would not have a room until the following day. This was confusing due to the fact that other people on the same flight had a room without issue. He took our passports and copied them. Told us to sign form then pointed to a man and gestured for us to follow him for ‘spare room’. We naturally assumed this meant a spare room in the hotel until ours became available. We followed this man outside the hotel and told to get in a car, no logo for the hotel, with grain in the boot. He did not say one word to us and began driving away from the hotel. When we asked where he was taking us he said ‘sorry’ then mumbled in Turkish. We genuinely thought we were being trafficked. We arrived at the Phoenix Sun Hotel and approached front desk to not even be greeted. The man eventually said ‘Passport’ and stuck out his hand. He eventually told us a room number and nothing else so we began walking to find the room to be shouted at and told to stay put. Eventually someone came out to show us to our room. The room was not clean, the sheet wasn’t anywhere near big enough to fit the mattress, the toilet was filthy. We had been no information whatsoever regarding if we could have breakfast in the morning, where we were going in the morning, if we would be picked up and taken to the correct hotel. Nothing at all. When we woke up we went straight back to reception to request to be taken to the correct hotel. They said ‘10am’. We attempted to get some breakfast which was short-lived given the poor choice. We then had to ask front desk 4 times to contact our hotel and arrange for us to be taken back to our correct hotel. We were rudely shrugged off 3 times until the front desk man decided he would call Riva Bodrum. At 10:45, 45 minutes late, we were picked up by Riva Bodrum. Once we arrived to our hotel, we were shown to our room which was not as advertised at all, pictures speak for themselves. However due to the absolute nightmare that had already taken place and taken up much of our first day, we chose to let it go and try and get on with our holiday. The hotel was not as clean as it should have been. Fast forward to the final day which caused the most stress I have ever felt on a ‘holiday’. We contacted front desk to find out what time our PRIVATE TRANSFER, that we paid extra money for, would be collecting us. We were told to check a paper on the counter for our names on a list. To really go with the theme of the holiday, our names were not on the list. Front desk were helpful as ever and said ‘if your name is not on the list you have no transfer’. I went back to my room to get my booking details from my room and returned to front desk. He looked blankly at the phone and called over a colleague who then said ‘ohhh right yes, this company is very very complicated. We have many many problems with these. They do eventually show up but they do not contact us as a hotel to tell us when they will collect guests’. As you can imagine, we found very little comfort or help in this comment. The man told us we needed to go to a website called holiday taxis (even though the transfer company was supposedly called Golden Taxis) to fill out a form, which then returns a pre-populated paragraph stating they are to only be contacted by phone or live chat. There is no live chat function on the website and the phone call wouldn’t connect. The man then told us what you actually have to do is WhatsApp the number, which only someone with inside knowledge would know. So this is what we did, the WhatsApp returns an automatic response too stating it is an emergency contact centre and you must use the website. Going back to the website says again, you must use live chat (which does not exist). We received a response on WhatsApp asking for the passenger name then they confirmed pick up time was 20:45 for our 23:30 flight back to Bristol. All the while we were going back and forth trying to sort out this utter mess we paid extra for, ironically to avoid stress, a rep laughed at our stress and said ‘why try and sort this yourself when you can just ask a rep?’. After I had sorted this out myself I went to advise the rep we didn’t need his help anymore as he still hadn’t gotten any information to help. We had to check out of our room and keep ourselves busy for the day as the flight was in the night. When it came to 20:30 we spoke to two women outside who had been waiting for their transfer since 8pm and who had decided to call a taxi and pay for it themselves because they feared missing their flight (the same flight as ours). We then began feeling concerned as 20:45pm seemed to be cutting it fine for a 23:30 flight, gates close at 23:00 and the journey from the hotel was 45 minutes. It came to 20:45 and no news from the transfer. I what sapped to ask for an update to which they said ‘checking status of driver’. I continued to message until 21:05 to be totally ignored. We had to book a taxi which we had to pay for and we barely made it to the gate in time to board. I spent the last part of our holiday crying in a taxi thinking we would be stuck in the nightmare that seemed to never end which was this holiday. I could not be more disappointed in the service I have received from Loveholidays, I will never use you as a holiday provider again. Every aspect LoveHolidays have been involved with in this holiday has been a shambles. I have tried to ask for support in how to make a complaint to be responded to in a nonsensical sentence. LoveHolidays' policy not to allow customers to make a complaint until 48 hours after they have returned home is quite frankly wrong. The 'post travel query box' only allows 300 characters which is also utterly wrong.
