"
I’m a national board certified functional medicine health coach. And while I know what I should be doing, sometimes I need a little help. 😉

In June I started to notice that nothing fit. But we were traveling a lot and I didnt do anything about it because I didnt want it to "ruin" my trips! I also knew Perimenopause was part of the reason, so I guess I accepted it.

Come Sept, I was just uncomfortable in my body. That's when my dr and I found out my candida was really high so we decided I'd do the candida diet. (No dairy, sugar, carbs...all of it)

I started that in Sept, was doing great, and then went to Chile in Oct for 10 days and when I got back, I gave myself a month to hopefully get back on track and I just had no motivation. I couldn't do it.

In comes Macros Inc. When I saw there was a 2 week free coaching trial and I could tack it onto the Black Friday special, I knew, even if it was the holiday, that I had to start.

I signed up for 3 months as I needed the accountability, especially during the holiday months! And sometimes when you pay for something, you feel guilty not utilizing it! (Sometimes is the key word🤪)

I never starved myself or felt deprived ever. (Remember when we used to think we had to eat 1200 calories to lose weight?!) I eat 1500-1700 calories a day depending on how full I am. 125+ g of protein a day. I work out 30 min 5x a week (3 days lifting, 2 days cardio), I walk 15-25k steps a day (obsessed with walking), weekly date nights (usually at a fancy restaurant, where I didn't "count" anything!) and I never told myself I couldn't eat something. If I wanted it, I'd eat it.

In the past, calorie counting or tracking would put me into a tailspin where I would restrict or binge (l am a recovering compulsive overeater- and attended OA meetings for a long time) but this time felt different because I was intentional, gave myself grace, and never felt guilt. I enjoyed what I was eating or who I was with. I also didn't restrict a food group (minus when I did the candida diet for a bit) so I never felt deprived. I actually now love to "log" as I know it's setting me up for success-even if my goal is to maintain. If anything, it's the opposite of time consuming, it's giving me more freedom than I've ever had.

And while it's not about the number on the scale, I did see a number that I haven't seen since 9/20/2014 (my wedding date), which was my goal. All of my clothes fit, and bigger. I feel so energized, stronger, and proud of myself that I didn't let age/perimenopause/holidays/life get in the way of my goals, even if my body shape is a bit different than pre kids!

Coach Colt was a pivotal part of my success. He was ALWAYS there (annoying! JK! Haha!), he listened, and his words are like magic! The amount of times I cried because of how “right” he was or how he nailed what was going on with me was countless. He is so supportive and never made me feel bad about any of my choices, cause there were definitely times where I was like “im eating this cookie- so deal with it!🤣” He encouraged me to keep living my life but with minor tweaks. I feel confident that I can continue this without it feeling like a burden. Macros inc gave me the confidence that I don’t need to completely change my life to get the changes I wanted to see! While I know I could keep going (losing weight) I also want to be happy, enjoy my life, and never feel restricted (like my past). I finally feel like I’m in a good place and I thank Colt and Macros inc for the help!!"

"I signed up with Macros Inc in August 2025 just after having hernia repair surgery. I had been a member of the Facebook group for a few years and had successfully used the information to lose and maintain on my own but noticed my weight had crept up over the past several months and I couldn't seem to get my head in the game even though I knew exactly what to do. I knew I needed the accountability.

I was matched with Colt and he provided clear and realistic coaching based off my goals. With his help, I had no problem dropping the unwanted weight. I even surpassed my original goal and got to a level of leaness that I didn't think was possible for me.

Colt worked with me through the transition to maintenence and was extremely knowledgeable and provided the resources to be successful.

As amazing as his coaching had been up to that point, I want to express how invaluable his coaching has been as I go through a time of struggle. Life got hard, as it often does, and all of a sudden, I no longer had the same capacity as before and my consistency wavered. I worried about being a disappointment and a burden to my coach because thats how I felt about myself. I wanted to be upfront and honest about my struggling and Colt met me with absolute kindness, understanding and gentle guidance. He has really taken the extra time to talk me through the tough times and help me understand the behaviors and emotions driving them. One message from him that really stood out to me during one of those times was this,

'You don't need to apologize for repeating yourself or for feeling like you are. And honestly, you don't need to apologize to me at all. Not for struggling, not for having a bumpy stretch, not for needing to talk something through more than once. If we need to have this conversation 100 times, that's fine. That's what I'm here for.'

Colt's support, knowledge and compassion has made my coaching experience with Macros Inc absolutely priceless. I highly recommend him for anyone seeking guidance in nutrition or fitness."
