“I absolutely LOVED my coach. She was knowledgeable, kind, supportive, and someone I felt completely at ease with. If I ever do macros again, I’ll definitely ask for Jenny Passel.”
“After thinking about it for about a year finally signing up with Macros Inc was the best decision! I already had knowledge of macros but having a dedicated coach to work with and hold me accountable was a game changer! With Coach Garrett’s help I was able to make adjustments and mindset shifts to feel confident that I can continue to lose weight until I reach my goal and maintain it while still eating foods I enjoy. This helped me to see that with very small changes I can still deal with life as it happens and stay on track. During coaching I had sickness, travel, holidays, kid stuff and plenty of other life stuff and through it all I continued to lose weight! It’s also wonderful to have someone in your life you can talk to about food and weight openly and without judgement to really help get you in the right state of mind. Thank you Coach Garrett and Macros Inc for this invaluable experience!”
“I've been with MI for a few years now. Over that time, I've lost over 100 pounds. At one point, I was down 130 pounds, but I gained back some after an injury. The difference? I've lost 100 pounds before - with Weight Watchers. I gained all that weight back once I stopped WW tracking, and even added some more. This time - yes, I gained back 30, but over a year later - without tracking, that's where it stopped. I've kept that 100 pounds off with zero exercise (changing that soon!) and without tracking. THAT is the big difference in having a personal coach from Macro's Inc. And the funny part - very little of what we've discussed over the past year is strictly nutrition related. Sure - lots of suggestions for me to get in more protein so I don't lose more of the muscle I had built up pre-injury, walk more, drink more water, but some of the talks actually ended up in a deep dive as to why/how I got so overweight in the first place. THAT was more important to me than how many grams of carbs I was eating. I'm not a friendly person - I keep my circle of friends very, very small because I don't trust most people, and don't like a bunch more LOL. But my coach stuck around even though my first years check ins were way less than stellular, and why she didn't exactly pry, she also didn't let me get away with BS answers. It had to be frustrating for her - so much knowledge locked up in her head, but a client who sent maybe 2 photos the entire first year of check ins. My coaching here at MI has been living changing - more likely life saving - because I was on my way to either an early grave, or a lifetime of aches and pains and being overweight and not being able to do the things I loved. Now I am looking forward to doing all the things - scuba diving, camping, fishing, maybe even a few more World Records, everything except for skydiving !!”
“I’ve done macro coaching before but what makes this program special is the nutritional coaching in conjunction with the training. This gives your coach a real 360 view of you and the process your making. And it’s a special thing to find a coach who can both be an expert at nutrition and fitness. This is a great program!”
“My coach Steven was great. He listened to my individual struggles/needs and gave me realistic solutions. He encouraged me to continue to make smarter decisions and when I had some bad weeks, he enver made me feel like a failure.”
“My coach was a very nice person and I liked her. As far as results, mine were minimal and I think that’s because a one size approach doesn’t work for everyone. I am in my mid 40s, had a high amount of ongoing stress due to divorce and measuring macros was not going to work for me. I have since moved on, am working closely with someone who has had a holistic approach to overall health and have lost 15 lbs and counting. Macros can work for some but given the environmental things going on in my life I needed a different approach.”
Hi Jeannie! Appreciate the review and the honesty here.
You pretty much hit the nail on the head - there is no such thing as a one-size-fits-all approach. In your case with the stress you're under personally, our job should have been to help you find a solution that works around your challenges, something that fits into your daily routine. No sense in trying to fit a square peg into a round hole. If our initial approach doesn't work, it's on us to help find a different way, and we keep doing that until we find something sustainable and practical for your circumstances. I sincerely apologize if we were't able to do that.
I am SUPER happy to hear that you're down 15 lbs! It sounds like you've found something sustainable and I wish you continued success with that!
I will look into this situation personally and just see what we could have done better, and ultimately apply that to our continued education for our coaching team.
If there's ever a time you want to contact me personally, or if you need anything from us in the future, shoot me an email at dylan@macrosinc.net and I'll be happy to help.
Thank you again!
“I enjoyed my experience. I felt like my coach heard what I was saying and took the time to help me with my obstacles. I learned a lot from this experience and had good results.”
“Before I started with my coach Brittany I had been tracking macros on my own for about a year. I worked out regularly but felt like I wasn’t really making any progress anymore. She helped me go through a deficit phase to look leaner and reveal the muscle I had that was hidden. I then started a progressive bulk/muscle building phase for about the past six months. I needed to start doing different exercises with heavier weights at a regular gym in order to progress further. She helped me get out of my comfort zone and take on new machines and exercises. I am so happy with where I am currently and am excited to keep progressing more. In the deficit I lost about 10 pounds and since then I have regained about 7 of those pounds. I see that change on the scale however I don’t see the change in the way I look with my weight increasing. I feel like I am still leaner and more muscular which is what I was trying to achieve. The scale can be a scary thing but I have seen how you can change your body composition regardless of what the scale says. I am so happy I made the decision to start working with a coach! Besides building muscle I have also found a new love for vegetables, conquered my fear of the smith machine and increased my confidence!”
“This experience has far exceeded my expectations. The value received for the cost is worth every dollar. My coach consistently shows up for me with encourangement, extensive knowledge and compassion. I can tell she values her clients and truly wants to see people's lives improve.”
“Weight control has always been a challenge for me. For the past 20 years every January my new year’s goals would include “lose weight, so my pants fit”. I have been successful in the past but naive to what creates changing success. The doom of the yo yo effect, of weight control has also haunted me like so many other.
I was introduced to Scott Newton via my wife and over the past 12 months he has coached and guided me to a completely different level of success.
We have set sustainable goals, achieved goals, re focused and re challenged. To date I have transformed my body removing 30kg (66.15 pounds) of weight on the scales. I have Condensed my “obsess range” fat percentage, into 9.3 overall fat percentage and only losing a very small amount of muscle from my structure.
I have a completely different view on exercise, nutrition, and have created a sustainable disciple with the help of my coach Scott.
I will also admit if I didn’t have a coach to challenge me, I would have given up at the first Hurdle.”
