What has happened to the Gastropub Cottage Pies , really disappointed with ours tonight , we've always enjoyed them but the ones we had today were no way near as good the Mince was different, are they coming from a different company , the package is different? Very disappointing.

25/1/20 went to the cafe in Cheshire oaks ordered a baked potato with tuna and sweet corn when it came no offer of condiments. Nothing. I went to get some salt n pepper and mayo. Asked a lady could I have some salt n pepper and mayonnaise please. I was told over there help yourself . Started to eat my potato and it was cold. And I mean cold . Went back to the counter with my potato, explained. Lady so oh ! Waited a further 10 minutes when eventually a replacement came yes it was hot but my original salad had just been tipped on another plate with a different potato. No offer of condiments again. By this time I couldn’t be bothered going back again. Not the service I expected from m&s staff.

Ordered 2 hampers for Christmas; both were excellent, HOWEVER COULD NOT BELIEVE M & S STILL USE POLYSTYRENE pieces for packing. Other companies have changed to brown paper and cardboard that can be recycled. This I feel is not a good company image for M &S.

Two of my grandchildren wanted tiger onesies for Christmas from M&S. They were on offer at 2 for £25. We live in a remote area of Wales so large stores are a long way off and I tried to order online. They had size 5/6 online but 3/4 was out of stock. So I tied in a visit to family with a diversion to the M&S store in Stoke-on-Trent where they had 3/4 but no 5/6 but I did manage to pay for two under the special offer with the larger size being posted to my address from the online dept. So far, everything was fine and the parcel arrived days before it was due. On Boxing Day the family came to visit and opened their parcels. The smaller size had a detachable tiger tail as advertised but the larger one didn't. Today, I have tried to resolve this with customer services and to get a tail sent so that both children are happy with their present. I am told that they cannot send me a tail, only a replacement 5/6 onesy and at present they are out of stock. I asked for them to reconsider and the girl who was very polite went and checked and said she is not allowed to send out part items. I pointed out that she had done so already as we had only received part of the order. The upshot is she has given me a refund for the item which I did not seek and I am going to have to find some tiger fabric and make Alf a tail for his onesy. There was a time when a company would relax rules to ensure a child was happy with their Christmas present especially when it is their error. They could have taken a tail from a different sized costume to put this right immediately. I take a dim view of the M&S response.

Bought a premium cost tin of salted cashew nuts "specially selected for size and quality". Tin was 2/3 full with mostly broken bits of nut. Over priced and under performing compared to budget supermarket equivalent. Very disappointed

Very disappointed having visited my local Simply Food store in Spalding this morning (Christmas Eve). The date on all sliced white and brown bread was 25th December (despite looking towards the back of the shelf for a longer date) and dates on all chilled Yule Logs were 26th December. I appreciate the chocolate Yule logs contain fresh cream but surely they could have a longer use by date than 2 days! I also wanted a profiterole stack for Boxing Day but the dates on those were 25th December and very few left on the shelf, which makes me think they were all yesterday’s stock. This is not a one off experience as I have noticed very short dates on a lot of M&S food items just lately. Even Colin The Caterpillar Christmas Cake was no longer available to order. I couldn’t obtain any Snow Globe gin either, despite visiting several stores in my area to keep checking if any new stock had come in.

Went to Kingston park today for my Christmas food shop the fresh cream I wanted had today's date on and the 24th which is no good for Christmas day i asked a guy who was in the back if he would see if he could find a better date for me his reply was it will be there but i cant get to it without even going to see come back tomorrow and it will be out my reply was I won't be shopping tomorrow he just looked at me where is the customer service i would not of minded if he even tried to go and look but no he just acted as if he could not be bothered i shop here every week but staff with this attitude makes you want to go else where i do understand this time of year is stressful for staff but come on maybe a bit more training in customer service would not go a miss

I’ve never ordered anything online from this store until this month. I ordered a Christmas tree which arrived in store in a very timely fashion the next day. No problem there. However I was extremely disappointed to find that not only was there no base to stand the tree up, it contained the wrong parts and it wasn’t possible to put the tree together at all. The packing of this product clearly had not been checked. I’m more disappointed that this was the case after ordering a tree from Next which never arrived at all and I’m still waiting for a refund. Very disappointing I’m afraid

After visiting your hempstead valley store I was quite upset with the way one of your managers was speaking to a shop floor colleague. She was asking him to do a different job. The young man said but Iv just been told to do this the manager said I’m running the shop floor so do what I say. I then went to the checkouts which was very busy and a cashier rung the bell for assistance the same manager came after about 4 rings She shouted who keeps ringing, she was clearly put out by the call. I find this totally unacceptable. I feel you need to complete some training with this manager who’s name was Jess.

I bought the roast beef dinner for 1 , very disappointed. Cooked as instructed, potatoes cooked fine, but the peas and carrots were uncooked, the meat ,well hard to describe, didn't taste like beef and quite hard. Yorkshire was fine . I'll stick to sainsburys in future. My opinion was the instructions were wrong on packet. Sharnt buy again.

Over the past couple of years I have become increasingly disappointed with the quality of produce and cut flowers. I have taken to buying in a number of other supermarkets and found in some cases a much higher quality for a cheaper cost. This is NOT about cost but quality and the drop in that is not what is expected from M&S...however this week my partner bought me long lilies that have been absolutely magnificent and I have enjoyed them for over a week. This surprised me as we have bought flower that barely lasted days and I felt the need to express my delight in these two gorgeous bouquets that have delighted me and ask M&S to look at who supply’s their products and take note that the customer has more choice than ever so they need to up their game!!!

I am of the generation who do not write reviews. However my recent experience at marks and spencer, Halifax branch has resulted in my first review. I recently bought a top, which I wore x 1. After washing it had a flaw in one shoulder. With confidence I returned the top expecting something, not this. " Its your fault you have washed it wrongly". I have been married over 42 years so am used to following garment washing instructions, this has never happened before. I asked to speak to the manager and was told" there is no point they will agree". I am shocked I expected a courteous response at the very least. shame on you marks and spencer

Visited Marks and Spencer’s in Hempstead Valley shopping centre this afternoon, extremely disappointed with service. Upstairs initially asked for a garment, was pointed in a ‘general’ direction, after which they immediately went back to what they were doing, it took me a further 5 minutes to find what I was looking for in a completely different area. Then went downstairs to pay for two other items, and one of them was damaged, I was sent to get another, no more my size, so was offered discounted price of all of £1.50 but no return if the stain did not come out, I said I would rather pay full price but be able to return if it did not come out. No this was not an option, they can order it in but I would have to collect it from the store, 20 away from where I live, not convenient, no delivery offered. Then was told there were 6 more in stock and was sent back again to check labels, getting rather irritated by now I did so. Still no luck. Someone should have been checking them for me at this rate. I told her not to bother I’d leave the item. I left annoyed and frustrated. Two instances in one visit of very bad customer service. Bad show M&S your standards are slipping !!

Regarding cafe, service slow on some occasions and many a time tables left unclean with crockery left on them. I can appreciate that at times they are busy but this is not always the case and they appear to have adequate staff on duty! Standard of ground coffee you are using in my estimation and other folk and friends who use your cafe shop have also commented on the deterioration over the years and say it is somewhat tastless and usually lukewarm hence the reason I request hot milk. Staff friendly enough but slow in their service and cleaning the tables. Cutlery not always clean and many a time i've had to request as they have not replenished the cutlery at the self service area. Come on MandS you have a reputation to safeguard and I am one of your loyal customers!

Today I treated myself to Coronation chicken. Not the sandwich filler, the meal size. On opening it I was angry to see that the lovely big pieces of chicken have been replaced by scrappy little pieces! I suppose this is M&S economisng. Bad move. It's no where near as good and I shan't buy it again. Come on M&S stop penny pinching!
