“Fantastic service, response to initial enquiry and booking very quick. Robert Hepburn carried out Full Buildings Survey, phoned with brief report the same day. Full report received by e-mail and hard copy as promised. Very impressed with the attention to detail. Would definitely recommend.”

“I chose Mirus Surveyors from a number of other surveyors recommended by other people and researches I carried out on line. I spoke personally to the person in charge and he recommended a highly experienced surveyor from his team, who had local knowledge. (You can read up what each surveyor offers). The surveyor allocated sent details of what his work entailed, that he'd be reporting back both verbally and written as well as copying the report to the solicitors free of cost. The cost to surveying and preparing the surveyor's report and valuation was very reasonable. A date was agreed, the contact number given for the surveyor to access the property and a cheque sent off. The whole process was stress-free and the surveyor lived up to his promises, providing professional feedback both verbal and written. I was really impressed with the whole process and I would not hesitate recommending Mirus Surveyors as a highly reliable and professional body of surveyors.”

“Very easy to arrange and very competitive. The surveyor, Peter Jones was absolutely first class. Survey done very fast and an excellent highly professional report together with pre and post telephone advice and feedback. Report helped achieve a significant reduction in property price too! “After speaking with surveyor Andrew, He was informative, polite and extremely knowledgable on what survey I needed for the barn conversion I did buy. What I liked most was no call centre, and also Andrew was available after 7pm in the evening which was most superb! Many thanks again.”

“Mirus were employed by a prospective buyer for my home on 18th December 2014, the surveyor and his assistant arrived late, so I had to rearrange a GP appointment. Following the report, the buyer withdrew as surveyor apparently said he did not think my loft extension, built in 1986, and cleared by local authority building control officer, was safe to put weight on. Also on emptying my built-in wardrobe, I found small holes in ceiling and a piece had been cut / pulled from beneath the shower switch. It appears as though the surveyor was trying to see behind plasterboard, without my consent / knowledge. I emailed the surveyor who denied this and as the prospective buyer has the report I cannot confirm if he made any comments on insulation etc., I would not allow a surveyor from this company to come to my home ever again and certainly would not recommend them to anyone.”

“We required a survey of a property we were anxious to purchase at short notice, the estate agent's surveyor was busy and we had to look around this was no problem to Muris they undertook an excellent and comprehensive building survey very quickly with a good price, and we had the report within a couple of days. Unfortunately some issues were found that were not obvious to us and we were saved from future expense that we would not have afforded. We count our blessing that we found Muris who gave us a professional and independant survey.”

“Mirus Surveyors we very responsive and professional. I bought a very old house and no one likes hearing the truth but it's better to hear every negative point, the more the better in my opinion otherwise what is the point? The surveyor had a quite word with me and advised me not to buy the house, exactly what I wanted!! As we were looking for something to knock down and rebuild, I hadn't told him that though. It was good enough to live in while we get planning permission and I managed to knock off £10,000 off the price after the survey. 6 months later I asked for the report to be emailed for the architect and it was sent immediately. Very good company, throughly recommended.”

“The survey of the house I bought was full of caution and pessimism, I cried and felt desolate on receiving it. Yet I went ahead with the purchase about 9 months ago. An experienced friend said I should ignore the dire bullet points and that a lot of what this survey was doing was covering its own back in case of serious issues, which might or might not arise. So in this respect I did not find tube survey helpful, just depressing and not really separating the wood form the trees, so to speak, making it pretty useless for someone like myself, ie not conversant with all the technical stuff. Perhaps any survey would have been similar.”

“I used Mirus to do a full survey on a listed (and listing!) property in Bath. Very helpful about period buildings and the problems thereof, and report even included history of that actual building. My sister also subsequently used them for her property purchase in Bath. Both of us were very satisfied.”

“Mirus put forward 'Gavaghan Jones' LLP as our surveyors based in the Isle of Wight, due to our proposed house purchase being on the South Coast not far from Bognor Regis. Laurie Gavaghan met us there and we discussed some of our concerns along with his findings. His report was very detailed and included a lot of photographs. He identified a few issues with the property, though we decided to proceed. However, for various reasons we became concerned and asked Laurie for an opinion on what appeared to be new areas of concern which were not visible at the time of his or our visit. After listening to his advice, we decided to withdraw our offer. We have since found another property and have used Laurie to carry out that survey also. Very pleased with his help.”
