“Placed my order for crash bars on 12/24/2023. almost 3 months later and I still haven't received them. No communication or updates. I just want to cancel and refund so I can get some crash bars before summer riding. So far looking like I'm out $400. Should have known something was wrong when they don't have a way to communicate directly. Can 't answer any of these following questions as I haven't received my product or refund. Will update if anything happens.”
“Ordered a saddle for an R18 BMW, specified as fitting the bike, it in no way will or can even be made to fit without cutting the frame, there is a spring mount where you are meant to attach the bracket. I emailed to complain and was told "many people customise their bike and then it will fit, it is for custom versions of your bike"
Anything can be made to fit if you are willing to hack something apart?! this does not mean it is "compatible" and therefore should not be listed as such.

“I ordered a con stand for a BMW S1000R, this was ordered on October 16 th ,item still not arrived as yet, phoned and e mailed several times ,I was told it was a customs problem I.e incorrect paper work ,I was then told customs where returning the item to motea Germany, spoke with motea and now they tell me it's a courier problem,they say once the item returns to them they will re ship it using a more reliable courier firm !they do not return emails and won't give out names of who you where dealing with,there advert states fast delivery! I dont call two months and still waiting fast!”
“Ordered a top box and pannier set. Panniers arrived fairly quickly but the rest of the order was missing. Then spent the next 3 months trying to get the rest of the set sent over. Despite several attempts it fell over at customs every time. Got a refund but now they don't seem to be able to get me a postage sticker to be able to return the bits I have.
Very dissapointing, wont be considering using them again. Shame, has some nice stuff.”

“Ordered a stand £158, followed tracking number says been in customs since 1/11/23. I've tried to contact them using there online form as they don't seem to have any email address. All I get with the form is unable to send fault try later. DHL according to track delivered to UK it then links a parcel force tracking which doesn't exist. I also wish I'd never seen there add as looks like I won't be getting my money back either from all the other comments from people on here. Pi""ed off isn't the word of how I'm feeling right now. “Purchased an almost $900 Canadian set of saddlebags. It originally said 3 weeks for delivery, then it changes to 2 months. I went on vacation and it changed again back to when I was gone. As such, delivery was missed. No notification of the change.
After contacting UPS, motea’s delivery provider, then spending innumerable calls and emails, motea’s response was “that they bear no responsibility for the deliverer’s negligence.” UPS is a totally different problem but they has said that the product was frozen in their distribution center, until the shipper (MOTEA) contacted them. To completely abandon the customer, whom paid for a service only to spend more money and time without receiving the product, is an abandonment of the customer/service provider contract.
I hope that all prospective customers of MOTEA read this and seriously reconsider spending their hard earned money.”
“These say quick delivery and then say delivery is going to be 3 months. You then request to cancel and they just ignore your emails and will not refund. Clearly the company has financial problems so avoid at all cost.”
“I first ordered a motorcycle rear wheel hydraulic moving device for my Suzuki. This was delivered correctly and in reasonable time from Germany.
The company kept me informed all the way and the quality was very good. I then needed crash bars for the same bike and again all went to plan and I was again very happy with the quality and especially the sturdiness of the 28mm bars. They have been fitted and look great. It would have been nice to have more detailed instructions but it came with a good exploded view of the way it went together but a utube video would have been good. I read the reviews for the company after I had completed my two purchases and I didn’t recognise a lot of the complaints. If I had read the reviews first I might not have used the company which would have been a shame. Mine was a positive experience and hope yours is the same. Patrick.”
