Avoid avoid avoid. We sat on the sofa in the showroom at different times over a couple of weeks. We were told in the showroom that the discount applied to the sale price was ending so duly placed our order. When I checked 2 weeks later the discount still applied. Our made to order sofa is very uncomfortable despite ordering the same model and filling as the one on display and the cushions look short. This is the last Multi York purchase we shall make despite having been customers for thirty years as there is no longer a reliable comparison to be made between the model in the showroom and the final product

Head office customer service very poor, regarding "Copenhagen wall units",both Led light transformer failed only after occasional use in 4yrs. Head office customer service price to replace transformers is over £90!!! EACH!!. A COMPLETE RIP OFF...... I purchased, online, a transformer for just over £10. How can Multiyork justify their cost. Vulnerable people would agree to their prices. The Led light transformer Multiyork supply for these units is substandard and over inflates the cost of their wall units.

The design of their sofas is good. That's all I can say that is positive about the company. The sofa we received was NOT the sofa we sat on at their showroom: the cushions were the wrong size, had massive gaps between them and the sofa, cheap fabric that went saggy after the first use with absolutely zero stain proof coating (we paid extra for that!). The company is EXTREMELY dismissive and really only makes an effort with the prospective buyers. The moment the sale is done and the full payment received Multiyork become dismissive to the point of being rude, unhelpful. They have been ignoring all our emails, I had to chase them for months to get hold of someone, who could respond to our complaint. In the end "computer said no" to all our enquiries and complaints with no offer to fix the issue or even get someone to look at their "luxury, bespoke" sofa for a second opinion. My advice - go to IKEA and save yourselves hundreds of pounds on this pile of cheap crap that is Multiyork Furniture.

No problem with delivery or customer service but the Garrick armchairs and covers very disappointing. The armchairs don't offer any comfort at all and the covers which we were told could have light dirt removed with baby wipes didn't work very well and washing was arduous again with very disappointing results. These armchairs were expensive waste of money. I would gladly pop them down the dump if I could afford to replace them.

We purchased five Santiago Dining Chairs from Multiyork Guildford store, just after the guarantee period ran out (2 years) the lacquer started coming off the cane backs, shortly after this, the cane itself started to crack and break . We reported this to the store and they told us to contact Customer Care, which we did. they said they could not help us as the chairs were out of guarantee. The chairs now have become unusable due to the cane backs breaking . We have again e.mailed multiyork customer services, asking them to reconsider, as we feel the materials used were not suitable .They have e.mailed back once again to say they cannot help. We have bought from multiyork in the past, and have always been pleased, but their Customer care at the moment is absolutely atrocious and we will know have to purchase a new set of chairs from another company, as we will not use Multiyork again, BEWARE

We purchased two Tate sofas and chose a high end fabric. After less than 12 months the back cushions were caving in and the seat covers were pooling. We complained and a Homeserve rep came and viewed them we then got a a email saying our claim was invalid. Do not use this company they are charging a lot of money for inferior goods

Buyer beware. We bought a large sofa from Multiyork at the beginning if the year. We bought a set of covers to match the new sofa. Complete disaster. Customer service was SHOCKING with everyone passing the buck from the directors to store staff. Inefficient throughout. New covers unfit for purpose slipping and sliding all over the place. Their 'Independent' 'upholstery expert' visited and said the covers needed redressing daily - are you having a laugh! He took them completely off and then spent 30 mins putting them back on again. I'm sorry, my life is too short to do this everyday ...... And where does it say this in your advertising blurb? And by the way, the 'expert' worked for Homeserve. And who uses Homeserve as a contractor? You've guessed it - Multiyork!! Whole thing stinks. I would never recommend them. Any business that thinks it can survive by not listening to their customers with draconian customer service won't last much longer.

Wish I'd read other reviews before walking into Multiyork. 6-8 weeks delivered has equated to 6 months! Had to wait in 3 times for delivery to arrive in batches. One chair arrived with rust mark on fabric - had to wait in again for this to be cleaned! One footstool rocks so much it has to be replaced. The final chair to arrive has a patterned fabric, on which I based room colour scheme but it is nothing like original fabric I saw in showroom or samples received. They have now washed their hands of it and I am left with the disappointment and in total 7k worse off. As others have said - service good until they take your money! My advice - avoid!

I received my Nevada corner sofa in May 2016. The sofa itself is very nice but the fabric is very poor quality (Harbour colour 39 slate) as after only 4 months it has faded so much that there is now a stripe along the arm (where the sofa arm cover has protected the underlying fabric from the sunlight). The slate has gone a greeny grey colour in the sunlight. I contacted the store and they sent a man from homeserve to look at it. I heard nothing so rang customer services 2 weeks later and they said his opinion was 'sunlight damage' and there was nothing they would do. I contacted the customer complaints manager and have now received a letter saying that Multiyork will take no further action as the cause of my complaint has not been attributed to manufacturing defects. I would expect this sort of fading after 5 -10 years - but after 4 months I think it is very poor -having spent £4000 on the sofa. I would not recommend Multiyork - I have been very disappointed with the quality of the fabric and the after sales customer care

When we ordered our sofabed we told MultiYork it had to go up a very tight staircase. When they tried to deliver they could not get it up the stairs. The delivery guys told us that some sofas come in 2 parts so we went back to them and asked why they didn't offer this option when we told them it was tight. Originally they said that the sofa that comes apart costs an extra £100 which would have been fine. This story then changed to the sofa that comes apart would be an extra £500 in total - slightly different shape but same, cushions, same fabric etc. We asked them to justify the difference as the extra parts and labour are only £100. They came back and said they made a mistake and it was going to be an extra £749 at which point we told them to get lost. The next thing is that they won't cancel the order until extra money is paid on top of the deposit (over £300 already handed over). If you don't pay you get a bad credit rating so you are stuck. The Terms and Conditions do not state this anywhere. Its daylight robbery. Do not use MultiYork.

We bought an expensive reclining leather sofa - clearly made with cheap/faulty material, colour coming off ( one year old) - Multiyork say this is due to misuse, because our heads have touched it! It is reclining!!!

I am so surprised to see such negative comments about Multiyork which I now agree with myself. Same problems, saggy cushions, sofa looks old and Multiyork NOT prepared to do anything.

Purchased new set of covers for sofa and footstool. All fine when purchasing, completely different story on collection of covers. They were huge!!! I immediately got in touch with Multiyork customer services, explained the problem and was told to email my Newbury store where they were purchased from. I emailed and sent various pictures. After several emails and phone calls I was told it was our fault as we had not fitted them properly. I explained this was not our first set and we did know how to fit them and spent a great deal of time and effort trying to make them look half decent. I then asked for someone to come and fit them if it was our fault and was told this would cost me £90.00! I obviously refused and after further emails was told someone would come and check them which they did and told us they were indeed not right. I then had to make more phone calls to check what the next step was and was told they would do a refit and leave a replacement sofa. When I tried to arrange this I was told it would be approx six weeks as they had a large waiting list for a replacement sofa, not a great advert for multi york. By this time I was so stressed with it all I said we will go without a replacment just get it sorted. They collected it and several phone calls and three weeks later it is back with us. It is better than it was but to be honest it is still does not as Multiyork say "fit like a glove". I will never ever use this company again so much stress and worry through no fault of our own. At the end of the day the least they could have done was own up to the bad fit in the first instance which would have saved so much time and worry. Multi York just did not want know, they were unhelpful and defensive, and just seemed to hope that we would go away and stop disturbing them. The picture of sofa was one originally sent on the day we collected covers.

Nothing but problems since purchase. Build quality issues, fabric faded drastically, Staingard protection doesn't work at all, your are not permitted by the policy to attempt your own clean. Takes about six months for replacement fabric. If you like having a permanently stained, faded sofa of poor quality buy Multiyork.

Fabric stains with water despite purchasing a high grade fabric with protection. Staingard protection option useless except as a reason for Multyork to pass the blame and avoid taking responsibility for poor quality fabric. Appalling customer service. Avoid. Multiyork much lower quality than your average retail park furniture outlet.

Service---Incompetent. I don't want to bore you with all the details but the bureaucracy and procedures compete with the EU. Products---look good! Too many fingers in the pie of purchase and delivery.

We ordered a very expensive Lavenham sofa. On arrival we could not use it as our feet were three inches off the floor (I am 5 feet 6). We were told that we should have noticed this before ordering and overall, the company's response to our problem has been abysmal. Their own agents (Homeserve) visited and took pictures and agreed the sofa was not right (albeit made to spec). The company's response has been to offer to SELL to us replacement cushions at a cost of over £100. Although this is a 25 percent discount off listed price, it is clear that they wish to make a profit out of what is a serious design flaw. I would receommend that you do NOT buy from this company. Once they have got your cash, they suddenly become totally uninterested in problems
