Polite, efficient and punctual engineers arrived to install my new boiler. They were courteous and considerate, making sure they put protectors over their boots while walking in my property. The boiler was installed with no fuss and I couldn’t be happier. Thank you.

The salesman was a bit pushy and tried to get me to agree there and then and pay a deposit on the day. They did come out cheaper than any competitor but I soon found out why. He had promised they could get the installation done within a couple of weeks and that they wouldn't have to move the boiler (which other companies had claimed would be necessary). It took two weeks before anyone even phoned about arranging the next step and that was just a survey to determine some details for the installation. This continued for several more weeks, I phoned numerous times trying to find out what was happening usually to be told somebody would phone me back but most of the time nobody ever did. After nearly two months they told me that the boiler couldn't go where the salesman said it would and it would cost extra. When it finally got to the day of the installation, nobody showed up or phoned to explain why they hadn't. Several phone calls later and they told me that a previous job had overrun and they wouldn't be coming today (after i'd already taken the day off work to wait for them). The guys who finally turned up did a good job, they arrived about 8:30 am and didn't leave until 8pm. Apart from accidentally disconnecting the socket for my fridge (fortunately there was a spare socket that still worked next to it) they did a pretty good job and worked very hard to fix the company's catalogue of errors. After the poor service I got I really can't recommend this company to anyone and would never use them again, even if things did work out ok in the end. Although even with the higher price they were still a bit cheaper than the next best of the five quotes I obtained.

We are REALLY sorry for the poor communication that you have encountered and we are currently working hard to resolve this. I woke this morning (03/01/18) to find my new (10 mths) boiler had shut down with an error. I called Northern Gas but was unsure which option to choose as there wasn't one for maintenance so call Vallient from the number on my app. Vallient were not sure if I was covered for a call out so booked me an engineer for the following day and took a card number for 90 pounds call out. I asked them if they wanted the error code from the boiler and was told it wasn't necessary. I CALLED northern Gas again and connected with the service booking option, I spoke with a lovely young lady - Sunita who quickly confirmed that she could help me. I advised her of the situation so far and she advised that when I call in the future I should always choose option one and there will be someone to help. She asked me the error code and promptly advised that she could resolve my issue by giving me instructions over the phone, we had my boiler up and running in minutes! Fantastic. She also stated that she would cancel my appointment with Vallient and also raise a complaint as the advise from Vallient was incorrect. I received an e-mail from Sunita confirming the appointment had beed cancelled. Sunita you are an angel! No heating is bad enough but no hot water is unthinkable and you saved my day, making me a very happy lady. Many thanks. Kelly

Good communication with Sales Manager, helpful and informative. The Installer was introduced to me prior to carrying out work & he surveyed the work to be done in advance. The installer arrived when promised and carried out the work to a very good standard and to the timescale originally set. He also left me with heating over night during a very cold spell which was much appreciated. Pleased with Northern Gas so far.

No stars absolutely appalling have totally conned my brother in law and now not refunding his money. They have left 2 vulnerable people in a complete mess trading standards have suggested that court action might now be the only option to recover money they won't refund don't touch them with a barge pole

They supplied us with a new oil burner under the government energy scheme via E-on. The service was fast and professional from start to finish and we are no longer a freezing cold family!

Not very often do I feel the requirement to compliment a service, however as customer I know Jessica Hewitt went above and beyond the call of duty. Jessica remained professional assertive and was direct in helping me achieve/resolve a matter/issue. This is the professionalism I expect which not only left me with smiles but extremely satisfied with the service provided. With out any hesitation/doubt should the opportunity arise to use any schemes offered by Northern Gas in the future I would consider purely down to the experience/services provided by Jessica and her Team. Finally There was a small request to Jessica, to help a potential customer who has had extreme past/present struggles. With careful thought and discussion Jessica was happy to entertain this in the new year and aim to find a solution for this customer. The characters are limiting me to continue, but id like to finish off by saying - Jessica I expect/have no doubt that you will go a propel a long way within your career. A Big Thank You. THIS IS A "ONE" STAR RATING 3 apointments booked for a new boiler 3 times been let down by these clowns, a complete joke,no heating in my property for over 3 months now...poor excuses for reason(strike at boiler suppliers,snow,double booked)ridiculous..im currently suffering from a disability,which isnt helpful ,now no heating over christmas,no phones call or any type of communication from them to let me know whats going on,just leave me to wait around and chase them ,say they will call back NEVER do... leave it to you to chase them now booked in AGAIN for after christmas (new year 2018) asked for manger to ring(apparently not in until midday) i bet my house he/she WONT ring.... to be let down 1 time yes ok, but now 3 times what sort of company is this mickey mouse comes to mind think twice before using these guys

Totally garbage service agree to have a boiler fitted wait 2wks no contact so I rang them to be given 21/22dec when we were promised it would be in well before Xmas only to be called day be they are due to be informed they can't do it 2 days off work lost and also had to cancel new fire going in when the guy had bent over backwards to get us fitted in,,, we could've gone with another company who had promised to have it done earlier but unfortunately for us I chose this one what a fool I am

Your saving grace are your engineers. I had my installation cancelled twice and the two engineers who came to us all the way from South Wales, Ryan Jones and Mark Smith were absolutely fantastic. The boiler that had been originally quoted for would not fit so they sorted everything out! Nothing was too much trouble. Many engineers would just walk away saying they had the wrong boiler and these two lovely chaps remained for the two days and did not leave until late the second day ensuring that the heating was fully working and that I understood all the controls etc. I really cannot fault the service received from these two chaps. More organisation is required from the outset with the office though. Thank Pub to Ryan and Mark I will be warm this Christmas after 22 weeks without my boiler!

I have had a boiler application since September 2016. I still have not had my boiler which I put money towards. I’ve had numerous men turn up at my house for ‘surveys’. I’ve just spoken to someone from the company and they have said the application wasn’t even put through until May. Actually disgusting! I’m starting to think the company are scammers. I’ve asked for my money back - but a manager has to okay this so yet again I am left waiting. They’re so quick to take the money without doing any work. Avoid at ALL costs. They even came out to check our current boiler and left a line closed on it leaving us without and water and heating costing our landlord money to fix it! Really please avoid. I wish I had of read the reviews first.

We totally understand the frustration here for this tenant. We have been trying via the letting agency to contact the Landlord for permission to go ahead - with no success to date. This matter where we have held money will be looked at today and a solution found. It is a shame that this lovely customer is held back from a new boiler installation because the landlord has not been available.

All money has been returned of course and we have spoken to the landlord and the issue was not with the customer, the landlord nor NGH - the scheme ended unfortunately and so we could not go ahead. Everyone is now VERY happy with the outcome and Amy has kindly agreed to remove this review.
