We took delivery of our dining table and chairs, which is just part of our order, on the 4th June. Unfortunately although the chairs are labelled correctly on the boxes as wave back chairs which is what we ordered the boxes actually had cross back chairs inside. We’ve been trying to get a response from Oak furniture land for two weeks now and they will not respond to any of our emails, And the last time I phoned customer services the hold time was 48 minutes before I gave up. I’ve now had to put a section 75 hold on the finance until they engage with us. In the meantime I’ve got massive boxes of someone else’s chairs in the house and nothing to sit on. We’ve still got £1500 of couches on order with them which will be getting cancelled when they finally bother to respond, I’ve never dealt with a company like it, absolutely appalling

Poor service I ordered two tins of furniture wax polish FIVE WEEKS AGO, I’m still waiting for delivery! They charged me £19.99 for a free delivery service. This was refunded after 40 mins getting through on the phone and 20 mins sorting it out. They've now missed three delivery dates. I’ve complained twice using their on-line customer service contact form, still no response. Since placing my order (16th May) tins of wax polish are advertised, ‘In Stock’. Last week (10th June) they were also advertising “Delivered in 14 days” (now deleted). Their delivery team (not customer service) contacted me Friday (12th June) and Mon (15th June) to arrange a delivery date although it was due on16th June. They promised to provide a tracking number with another delivery company by Tuesday (16th June). On Monday (15th June) received an email saying “We are conscious that you haven’t yet selected a delivery date”. Today, 18th June, no delivery, no tracking number and no contact. I am pleased to add I've had an immediate response to my review and have accepted an apology for the delay delivering my order and the lack of communication dealing with my original complaint. I am pleased to say my complaint has now been dealt with satisfactorily, hence the increase in my star rating.

Order arrived very badly damaged. Was told to store the broken furniture for one month in my own home complete with packaging before they would collect. A refund cannot be processed until the collection takes place. So I have a very large box of smashed furniture and no refund. These people are a hopeless bunch of persons. Stay well clear.

Shocking experience from start to finish! Have spent over £5000 with them and would never buy anything else from them Most items were faulty / damaged Systems don’t seem to work and most customer service staff don’t have the right information to be able to do their job Takes hours to get anything resolved and their delivery policy is a joke Poor communication and follow up Don’t even bother completing the contact request form on line as no one responds

Terrible customer service, would not use this company again. Ordered goods in March for delivery in April. No contact from the company to say they were unable to deliver the goods and now nearly in June and have still not received the refund I requested in April. Absolutely shambolic.

Never again will I use this company 6 month pregnant and I have no we’re to sit told me my sofa would have been sent out a week after I ordered it as it was in stock to now tell me the 18th August a week before I am due my baby I have sold my sofa the day before my expected delivery ready to put my new one in !!!!!! Spoke to every manager on the phone and not one of them will give me a straight answer just keep saying we’re investigating it to then tell me my love seat can be sent out this week so I have something to sit on to then find out it’s going to cost me the price of the love seat as the rest was on finance !! Absolutely disgusting I’ve been in tears and they just don’t have a clue what they are doing I appreciate what is going on at the moment and things are not going as smooth as they would normally but don’t lie to people I would not have ordered the sofa if I knew it was August you sold me under false agreement ! Can’t even send me a sofa from a showroom to sit on they are doing nothing to help at all ! Worst experience with them ever.

Placed an order of furniture in jan 2020, delivery was meant to be 27/5 due to covid. Got a call on 27/5 to say the sideboard would be another 6 weeks. They’ve had £ 3,500 of our money for 5 months and now have to wAit 14days for my refund. I’ve lost interest on my savings but they’ve gained. Disgusting service

They should not be trading at present. Basicaly dump massively overpacked and heavy stuff on your doorstep leaving you to sort itout. Currently impossible for us to get it upsatairs and the amount of polysyrene used is somemting to behold. They don't empahsise this. If you must, wait until they do a proper service otherwise best avoid.

Spent over 3,000 with this company and we paid an extra 10% on top for insurance to cover our goods. However, 2 years or so later, we tried to make a claim due to moving into our parents who have 2 dogs, had soiled on our mattress which cost £800! When I had made the claim, I was told I would receive an email that I had to fill in due to a different name(married) and changed address to which I done. I was also told that I would need to fill out the claims form and I would hear back about arranging a engineer to come out. I did not hear or receive anything. I rang back several times to which I kept getting told I will receive this email blah blah blah! In the end, the costumer representative said to me that because he can see I have rang numerous times regarding our soiled mattress, he will arrange to send an engineer to assess the situation which happened. The engineer seemed ok but said we should have a chance of getting a replacement due to the complications and the state of the mattress to then received a letter to explain that it is not covered even though when buying the furniture in store, they said that accidental damage is in fact covered! We rang them to find out exactly why it wasn’t covered and they said that because of where it was (in the garage) we could not claim. We had expressed that it was stored in the garage due to wanting for soo long for a reply and the space in our house, thats why it was stored in the garage. They were rude and unprofessional on the phone towards my husband and agreed that the phone call would not be resolved. We then went to the store in Taunton and spoke to the very gentleman that sold us our furniture and he said that we should have been covered. He suggested we ring the ombudsmen direct and go from there. We did this. A week or so later, received a letter to say we are in fact not eligible!! The morale of the story is DO NOT PAY EXTRA FOR CLAIMS!! It really isn’t worth it. It is still currently sat in our garage after a year and still paying the furniture off!!!

This has been the WORST COMPANY(Oak Furnitureland) I ever had to deal with. Planned to buy a number of items from them with intentions of buying a number more, especially being taken in/ CONNED by their ads of being a friendly and reputable company. 1st visit was not a good one as, as soon as my wife and I entered the store, the sales people were like vultures, zooming in for the sales kill. We decided to give them one more chance and this time, bit of a better experience as we were allowed to browse without the sales people attacking. Found a few items we wanted and decided to go ahead with the purchase however was told that delivery would be 3 months away. Waiting for the 'big day' which finally came, I took some time off work, waiting and waiting and only at the end of the day after a number of calls from my wife, she was finally told that the delivery won't take place due to heavy winds. It was really POOR of the delivery team/ Oak Furnitureland to not give us the courtesy of calling to advise that delivery was not going ahead and we only found out after telephonic persistence from my other half. Asking for priority timing(so as not to waste my time waiting for them or further loss of work time), was met with ZERO budge and just utter disinterest from the complaints team which I would go as far as finding them as just rude. Even one of their product had to be returned due to a defect and that was another mission having to deal with. The complaints department have not dealt with my complaint properly either. Dealing with William Mills at customer relations was a joke! Absolutely TERRIBLE customer service. Having bought a new property, I've lost all hope with Oak Furnitureland furnishing my house and will never shop there again and we both have been actively discouraging family/friends/ work colleagues from doing business with them. A DISGUSTING COMPANY!!! (Better experience with another company - Save money and get far better service from the number of other online companies. I had not long after that terrible experience, bought a lovely TV stand from Oakcity and despite some delivery issues, they were profusely apologetic and prioritised our service.)

Dishonest sales practices. We were told to purchase our bedroom suite before Sunday because the sale was going to end. Ever since, it has been on sale at about the same price - always ending on Sunday. This week, it is in another sale being advertised as at the "lowest price ever" but is more expensive than last week! Plus - our furniture was delivered in a terrible state and we are still trying to get them to replace some of the damaged items.

The tops of wooden back chairs have very sharp corners and constantly bruise your arms if you are not careful. extremely bad finishing to corners, would advise all potential customers to look very carefully at this point, when purchasing dining chairs, Table was ok, my advice to people, is to bear in mind that the furniture is displayed in stores with lots of space around them, however when set out in a dining area etc, you may not have masses of spare space around the furniture to be able to give it a wide enough space to avoid passing the furniture without catching your arms on the chair tops as you pass by. we find it quite a problem. which is why we shall be replacing the chairs with a type made by a different manufacturer

Dreadful Service from Day 1 DPA BREACH ON DAY 1 - one of their agents sent a fellow customer through to my phone who was querying her previous purchase - should have known from this moment they were dreadful. DELAYED PURCHASE - I couldn't buy my furniture until I knew my details were not posted on the OFL website which meant my delivery date was pushed back a day 7 WEEK WAIT - Why? There is absolutely no reason in this day and age to be forced to wait 7 weeks for sofas. RADIO SILENCE - their escalation manager couldn't do enough for me up to the point I paid £1500 - now, i can't get through to her. NO INTEREST in following up on promise to 'speed up delivery' NO EXPLANATION - Text to say my delivery is not coming, but no reason why, no re-arrangement, no call from customer service, nothing.

They talked us into accepting a large piece of furniture, saying that they could not get it up the stairs but (once we'd unpacked it) we would be able to do it easily. Hours later, hurt backs etc. and we've just had to get a removals guy round to help us. Not straight with us: they should have said it won't go up around the landing bannister. Instead they talked us into it so they didn't have to process a return. Customer support wouldn't budge on the phone. Charge to return the furniture. Packaging quantities (particularly polystyrene) is absolutely sick. Go elsewhere, anywhere. Utter, utter, utter ba***rds.

I don't often leave reviews but felt I had to on this occasion just to highlight the extremely poor work quality of the furniture we ordered which has so far been replaced 3 times (still unresolved) and the poor customer service received. To keep this brief we ordered over £2000 worth of units 7 pieces in total St Ives range, several needed replacing on arrival due to very poor quality these are heavy large units - the door knobs had been moved position re drilled and then filled poorly sunk holes, large damage / splits in the cabinets, paint drops over the shelves, bowed doors, bowed shelves, missing paint patches to name a few. Photo’s were sent to customer service and replaced units were arranged with a 3 week wait time (the other units had to be repaired via their homeserve company) . These replacement units arrived damaged again major splits on the wood panels and same poor finishes. 3rd replacement was promised to be quality checked prior to delivery, I would have thought after the issues we received the units would have been quality checked prior to replacement, unfortunately the quality checked units were also faulty. We are expecting the 4th delivery Friday which is a white gloved service, we are just very disappointed and did not expect such a poor experience with Oak Furnitureland, the inconvenience of waiting in each time for deliveries, the amount of packaging which you are expected to remove and dispose of yourself, 3 trips to the skip so far and units not worth filling up and using as you know it will all need emptying to be replaced again, and all the time on the phone, email sending photo’s etc. I have attached a few photo's just to see the quality/workmanship from Oak Furniture products.

I would like to say outstanding service from sales team delivery crew and customer services. The sales lady bent over backwards to assist and get us the best deal. Got the delivery date we needed. The delivery crew were efficient and careful. Came early which was brilliant. One unit had a split which could have been down to anything. Rang customer services. They were brilliant. Sent photos in while they were on phone. They checked stock and it was replaced with no fuss. Totally brilliant service all round. We will be back again. Thank you
