“You used to separate chilled food in red colour bags which made unpacking very easy. Now everything is all mixed together. Little touches like that really matters.”

Hi Fan, this should not be the case. All fridge, cupboard and freezer items should be in separate, colour-coded bags as they always have been. It is concerning to hear that you are receiving your shopping mixed. Can you please email ocado@ocado.com, including reviews.co.uk in the title plus your username. “Great shopping experience, so few substituted items due to good stock control, however packers and drivers don't always think - potatoes on top of bread, or yoghurt pots - but their online refund request deals with these easily.”

Heavens Ali, it very worrying to her that the packing of your shopping has not been up to the highest standard and we're disappointed in ourselves that we've let you down. We would not expect heavy items like potatoes to be packed on top of bread or yoghurt pots. “The range of products is excellent and missing items or substituted items are very rare. However, the packing of items in the bags is occasionally haphazard with heavy items sometimes being placed on top of (and damaging) fragile items that are underneath. Also, items like boxes of cakes are sometimes put in the bags upside down, which damages the contents. The delivery drivers are first class.”

Oh dear it saddens us to hear that some of the packing of your shopping has been haphazard as we always aim to deliver your product damage free, and packed properly. We can completely understand how frustrating it must be when you see your order arrive in this condition, and we'd like to say sorry for the inconvenience caused. “Have used since the service launched. Substitutions are rare. Hour deliver slots available and adhered to. Really friendly and professional delivery drivers. Receipt is emailed in good time prior to delivery so plenty of notice if an item isn't available.”

“I am a regular loyal and very happy customer of Ocado. I am happy with the wide range of groceries and other household necessities you offer, but I am mostly impressed by your ability to plan and deliver in 1 hour timeslots. Having many bad experiences with delivery of much more expensive items (eg furniture), this is very appreciated. Also very happy that other shops are joining your delivery, wish there were more of them! If there was any little area for improvement, it would be occasional packaging of heavy items (eg bottles of water) on top of things like yogurt, cakes etc, sometimes ending messily. All the best. “I've been shopping with Ocado for 10 years and have rarely visited a supermarket during that time! Prior to then, my weekly shopping included a two hour supermarket visit, which I hated, and a few supplementary visits to other shops. I now receive my shopping direct to my kitchen twice a week, with no unloading the trolley or waiting in queues. I had tried other on-line supermarket deliveries prior to discovering Ocado and was always frustrated by the poor usage dates and high number of substitutions, none of which were ever what I wanted! Ocado rarely substitute anything and if you're unhappy with any of the items, they are easily refunded. Shopping now consists of looking through my usual purchases and simply adding them to my basket, and the apps mean I can do this using my phone or ipad while waiting for my children - fabulous! We holidayed in the UK this summer and I was really disappointed that Ocado didn't deliver there! I couldn't recommend them more highly.”

“Life is stressful enough without having to negotiate supermarkets! I love being able to order online, it enables me to budget. The delivery drivers are always pleasant & if an item is out of stock the replacement is generally a sensible option! The one hour slots are great & should there be a delay in delivering I have received a phone call to say why & advise of the anticipated delivery, although having said that my orders have only been delivered later than expected twice in over seven years! I love Ocado!”

“Have been using Ocado for many years now and wouldn't change. Rarely anything missing or substituted. Easy web site; lots of special offers; quality groceries or refund if unhappy with any goods. Also Tesco price match so you don't have to do the comparison yourself.”
