OpenDoor was excellent to work with from start to finish. Communication was excellent throughout the process. Offer for the home was fair and the closing process was quick. I highly recommend them and would use them again.

I had a pleasant experience with opendoor. I was hesitant at first because it seemed to good to be true but everything went smoothly and fast. Most of the communication is through text messaging and email, the only person you will meet in person is the notary. I received my proceeds the same day I signed with the notary. Opendoor, is a legit home buying company. I’m a proud seller.

I contacted Opendoor about them buying my house and in 22 days the money was in the bank.

gave a preliminary offer of between 320,000 and 360,000 then after zoom they gave a final of 288,100. The home is brand new and has had the basement finished. Talked to a realtor and said would get over 300,000

I had a great experience with Opendoor. They offered a fair price for my home and were able to close very quickly! Due to other circumstances, it was important that we close quickly, and Opendoor delivered on their promises! My family is very happy!

I am so disappointed with Open Door. My fiance and I found the perfect fixer-upper in a great neighborhood. Going in, we knew the house needed some serious work. With original bathrooms, a few roof leaks, and pool surface issues. Luckily, the previous owners did do some work such as a moderately updated kitchen and pool deck. The house was priced for 515,000 and we ended up under contract at 508,000. After the inspection process, it was brought to our attention that the AC's were from 1986 one of them not working at all and the roof had no life left in it (among other minor issues). Our mortgage company would not insure us unless the roof was fixed before closing. After weeks of waiting to hear back from Open Door we finally negotiated a new roof. Until we got the appraisal back. The house only appraised for 490,000. We were willing to pay 490,000 as long as the roof was still replaced. After more weeks of waiting to hear back from Open Door, they would only pay for the roof if we came up in price to 500,000. We continued to negotiate with them, but they wouldn't budge. We had to back out of the contract. Now, here's why I am writing this review. The same house, that we LOVED and were willing to by at 490,000 is now back on the market for TWO WEEKS LATER AT 475,000. Not only did they royally screw us over, it was nearly impossible to get in contact with someone at Open Door. Our Realtor would try to call them several times and they would never answer. Open Door would only respond to emails and would take days on end to respond. I don't know who operates a company like this but I would not buy a house from them or recommend anyone to buy a house from them.

By far, one of the best choices we made. Smooth and easy transaction. Opendoor team was quick to respond with any/all questions. Made the selling process stress free. We packed the house in peace and even moved up our closing date by one week. No showings, no hassles. We have told everyone looking to sell or buy to go through Opendoor. Thank you Opendoor!!

We closed our sale to Opendoor in early July 2021 in Phoenix on a 2400 sqft home. The process was so easy that I was concerned it was a scam until the day we received the wire transfer. From the beginning, the process was transparent and low stress. We got an initial offer just from filling out some info online. Then we had a virtual walkthrough using my phone, followed up with an external home inspection (no contact). The repair fees were under 1%, which is similar to concessions in a normal sale. I was surprised by this since the house was built in 1984 and still had original windows, siding, etc. After we agreed to the repair fees, we set a closing date and scheduled our late move out for 7 days after closing (for no added cost!). The benefit to closing early is that your receive the funds earlier. Closing was all virtual with an online notary. We never interacted with anyone in person throughout the whole process. The funds received 2 days after closing matched exactly as agreed, and there were no hidden fees anywhere. The house isn't listed yet, so I can't tell yet if we would have made more by listing. However, this was the easiest process and I would highly recommend. The offer they gave us exceeded most of the estimates we found on realtor sites and was $50k higher than another ibuyer we got an estimate with. It also seemed competitive with other comps in the area (or better). We loved working with Opendoor!

We had an excellent experience of selling our home to Opendoor. It was a very smooth and professional process from start to end and made us feel our house is now in good hands. The online technology Opendoor used was very professional. From the beginning of making us a fair market price offer to digital checkout was superb and hassle free especially comforting during this pandemic. No physical contact during the whole process. We had an online closing which was especially easy and professional. The prompt responses and initiatives from Opendoor and title company have gained our trust and diminished our skepticism towards the new way of selling houses. We would recommend anyone to sell or buy houses from Opendoor !

I love Opendoor services. Their representatives are very responsive and helpful. Our 2nd home in a different city was occupied by my daughter who was moving out on a short notice due to job change. My daughter had a jampacked schedule when we decided to sell that home. It made the traditional in-person house-staging/open house impossible. I decided to try the disruptive online house sale with Opendoor. After a video-walkthrough tour around the house with my daughter and having us fill up an online questionnaire (We kept the home in pristine condition. I also believe they used AI to accurately assess the home value in the background) Opendoor made a generous offer. The entire process took less than 4 weeks (could be shorter if my daughter's moving date moved forward)! All the selling-buying paperwork were done hassle-free online except the Title and ESCROW part (we did that with a designated company via mail). It is a Home Sale by Owner process with Opendoor being the buyer.

We could not have had asked for a better group of professionals to work with us on the sale of our home. David Nunez and his team of Jess and Bernie were available each and every day (yes.. weekends, too) to walk us thru the process (easy-peasy), and Escrow Officer LeeAnn Martinez communicated through all steps of the closing process. I believe that 20 days from contract signing until deposit of funds is VERY noteworthy. Open Door was fair with their proposal and everything went without a single hitch. Selling one’s home can be very stressful… this was not..! Would definitely recommend this team to anyone. 🙂

The process was much smoother than I anticipated. I thought they would have a "low ball" offer, but after consulting with a local realtor friend, Opendoor's offer was actually more than the local realtor thought we could get! I loved that it was an all cash offer...not dependent on an appraisal. And they give you the final number up front, so you know what you will eventually end up with and you can count on it. An overall great experience!

I’m currently selling my house to open door. I’m supposed to close in 1 week. The closing costs are suddenly double what open door estimated. When I asked the company handling the closing why, they said ask open door. Then I asked open door and they said ask the closing company. Deceptive practice.

We used Opendoor to sell the home my grandparents willed to us. From start to finish, every person was kind, helpful, and open. No hidden processes or fees, no attitudes, no hassles… just wonderful customer service! We were able to do a video walk through at the beginning of the process and then they sent someone to do an exterior walk around (we did not have to be there). Once that was done, they left a lockbox (and information flyer) for the door. They made us an offer (higher than realtors were telling us) and we accepted via email through their online portal. SO EASY! Then, their title partner OSNATIONAL reached out (Danielle was phenomenal) to get information and the documents signed. We were able to pick our closing date and where we wanted our closing to be. They sent a mobile notary (she was just the sweetest and most knowledgeable… she was a total joy) and we were able to close at my mom’s home. The money was deposited into our bank account within 18 hrs of the closing (which I think would have been even faster if we’d had it going to a different bank instead of our always slow credit union). The only hiccup we encountered was because our homeowners association was dragging their feet and required all this extra paperwork from us just to release information to OSNATIONAL and Opendoor for the sale. This was the Associations fault, not OSNATIONAL. So the only advice I would give is for you to advise your association in advance that you’re selling and that you’ll be needing estoppel letters for the sale/closing. It caused our closing to get pushed back 7 days but that was no big deal. I would recommend Opendoor over ANY other service or realtor! We will absolutely use them again!! Their standard of service, level of care, knowledge, and willingness to go above and beyond are unmatched in the industry. Nobody does it like Opendoor. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for making it easy and fun! I was worried about my sweet momma during this process because it was her parents home. But the time and care everyone took with us on this journey, it truly made all the difference. Thank you so very much!

They are basically modern day Wholesaler. Process is not transparent, bids are not negotiated, no way to speak to a human. It's a very impersonal way to buy / sell property.

The process was easy and convenient. Most of it was done online/virtually. There were a few times when our person was not available and it did take a bit to get a response, but nothing prevented or delayed the ultimate sale of our home. My only complaint is that the current condition of the exterior of the home is neglected. The grass has not been mowed in the month+ since we moved. There have been several storms so branches and twigs are all over the yard as well. I am disappointed that the company would allow their properties to be maintained so poorly knowing how that affects property values.
