I keep calling for a refund. Now they actually telling me that they have technical issues and can't hear me very well (reservation's seem to hear you ok). These guys are the same type of people like the overseas scammers who phone you up trying to con you! Nothing worked email phone or chat. Avoid at all costs.

I got an email to tell me that there had been a significant modification to my flight and to contact them on the given number within 48 hours. I tried several times, and each time I was reconnected to the correct department. Sometimes I would wait for 10 minutes before the music cutting out, once I waited for 2 hours - the music cut out after 40 minutes of waiting, but I thought I may still be on hold. I started to wonder if the staff were just sitting on "mute". Either way, terrible system, and terrible service. I still haven't been able to find out what my significant modification to my flight is... at this rate, it better be an upgrade to first class. I won't use Opodo ever again.

Very bad customer service, impossible to speak to Opodo by phone, I had to give up after 48 minutes waiting on the line. By Facebook messenger was also a disaster, had to wait for 30 minutes to talk to someone. I bought a ticket where the conditions stated that changes were allowed but the agent informed that "voluntary changes" were not possible. I asked to cancel and by another ticket but they informed that it would have to be escalated to another team... Meaning there is no integrated customer service and no easy solution. Simply hated the experience and will never use this company again.

I was going to Japan for my 65th birthday but decided to change my flight because of the Coronavirus. I was charged £230 for flight change and then I realised that the dates were wrong so I phoned them back within an hour to rectify the mistake and they charged me another £211. I feel that they have totally scammed me! Also I haven’t received any details of my flight! I’m totally distressed about it all and I don’t know what to do!

Opodo didn’t confirm my ticket. They said because my last name is too long. My last name has 9 alphabets. I have booked airline ticket before with them. I don’t know why they are telling me rubbish now. This is the second ticket I tried to book with them. The first time they said the airline fares has increased that’s why they couldn’t confirm it. I will never book a flight with them neither nor to refer my friends and family.

If I could give minus zero stars I would. This is the worst travel agency ever! Do not ever consider them. Customer Service Sucks! You are placed on hold for a very long time 3.5 HOURS!! No one speaks fluent English! When you are finally able to reach someone, you get disconnected in middle of the call. They probably hang up on you! Totally overpriced! Emails are unanswered! If you think I’m just one upset customer please go and check out the reviews for Opodo Germany as well and you will see/read that I’m not exaggerating.

Ok I am in Paris and I just learn that my flight is cancelled and that they are not issuing a flight back to the US for me. Better than that they knew it before my departure to France. This is going to cost me a lot in money and stress . Thanks opodo

Received an email today asking us to contact them within 48 hours about a change in flights initiated by the airline in our itinerary. Three hours and over eight phone calls later, with several “accidental” disconnects whilst being “transferred to the correct department who could help us”, we are no further forward. All we got from them were pleas to call back in seven to ten days when they might not be so busy and more able to deal with our concerns; unbelievable! This is not a company we will ever use again due to their appalling customer service and my next phone call will be to my credit card company to initiate a refund under their chargeback policy.

Awful awful awful. Went to collect a car they took money prior. Wouldn’t let me pay for excess by anything but credit card. I had money on debit card. They sent me away with no car and wouldn’t refund me. I paid for goods I didn’t have. Don’t ever use these guys. They are conmen using a company and pretending to be legit.

You are told you are waiting to speak to somebody for ‘over 5 minutes’ but are still waiting to speak and on hold for over 45 minutes. The call (on a landline) then drops! You try the next day and are told their systems are down and try in 4 hours. That would be 3am in the morning. You try the next day, spend 50 minutes waiting, speak to somebody who says your ‘cancel for any reason insurance’ is not valid due to Coronavirus, discuss, are told to wait, go on hold and then find you have a service quality question and are then cut-off! I should at least be due a refund of the £26 paid for the cover but not even told that. Worse than useless!

Schedule changes to my flights, opodo have been so far super useless. On hold for multiple hours, customer service operators loudly sighing/yawning while talking, useless and infuriating. Do not recommend!

Really wasn’t happy with the sevice. Had to cancel flight for my son. Was on hold for over an hour to get cut off straight away the 1st time. 1hour 20 mins semiconductor time only to be told I had to ring airline direct. Rang airline and guess what... I have to cancel through opodo. So again on hold for over an hour to be told yet I had to cancel through airline. Finally cancelled through both airline and was told to forward emails from airlines to opodo for them to sort out refund. Still heard nothing. Will NEVER book through opodo again.

Communication is non existent. Should be a big fat 0 not 1 star. Found out my flight has been cancelled on 30 March from Bangkok to London. Had an email from EvaAir telling me my flight is now 24 hours later. This is fine if you live in London but to where I live, is another full day travel. I booked the train, Heathrow express and hotel for the night. If I go on 31 March I will miss all this, as it is all non change or refund. Tried call Opodo many times from my phone as instructed to do. On hold every time and after 45 minutes was cut off. Not cheap on international rates. 😠😠😠 Tried the online chat and that was a waste of time as I had to keep repeating myself and promised a call back that never happened. All I want to do is get a refund as neither the airline or Opodo have kept their side of the deal. They cancelled the flight not me!! Also I must be in work on 1 April too. Very luckily I booked with a credit card and requested a charge back or section 75 claim as I have not received the goods I paid for. Never book with this company again, I'd much rather pay a bit extra and book direct with the airline. I made a big mistake, but make sure you book with a credit card and you will get at least some protection if you book with this company in a case like this. Now I will let the credit card sort this scam out as they have taken my money by false pretences. If no joy then the financial ombudsman.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Refused to help after we asked to change a name on a booking, chased them for 3 months. They said they were unable to and to contact the airline. The airline were not helpful either and kept telling us to contact Opodo. Then after they finally responded to me, they said they were unable to refund and unable to change the name, and refused to send me the terms and conditions for my flight.

Opodo is the worst. Never even consider doing business with them. YOU WILL REGRET IT! They ARE THIEVES They screw up your email so you never even get the reservation. They owed us a refund and we called dozens of time. They gave us the run around, told us that their employee was a crook, so we had to start the process again. They told us to call the airline, but the airline told us to call Opodo, back and forth 3 times. Finally Opodo said our claim was invalid because too much time had gone by since when they stole from us to reclaim anything. Check it out. These complaints are common, it's even been written about in the Guardian back in 2014. They do this all the time. It's part of their business model....screw the client. NEVER OPODO! The business is probably failing and they're desperate because they're going out of business, so book with Opodo and risk getting a Thomas Cook experience.

AVOID. Called multiple times about a possible cancelled flight, left on hold for over 2 hours. Contacted them through email and chat options as well and was promised a call back on multiple occasions, which never happened. Now they are refusing to refund our accomodation booking despite our flights being cancelled and a national health crisis in our destination country. Genuinely the worst company. Zero customer service. Cannot express my disappointment and anger.

Dreadful service. Never again. They got my name the wrong way round on the flight ticket but did nothing despite 4 phone calls and 2 emails accompanied by a copy of my passport which they had requested. I took the risk and flew from Manchester to Buenos Aires, returning from Rio de Janeiro without any airline staff noticing the error. Another alarm when Opodo emailed me saying that my outward flight was no longer available and I could book a new flight the following day. I agreed to this but received no confirmation. I assumed it was another example of their appalling administration and I was right. No changes in my flight times occurred. During my 2 phone calls, I’m certain that I was cut off by their call centre in Asia while the staff member I was trying to communicate with 'talked to his supervisor'. As others have said, they may deliver the goods when things are straightforward but let any hiccup occur and you have no chance. They are a bunch of cowboys.

Opodo charged my credit card 25 pounds more than the FINAL price displayed to me when I clicked 'purchase now'. The price I agreed to pay at the final stages after entering my credit card details was 494. I clicked purchase now. I then noticed on the invoice I received that I had been charged 518 without ever agreeing that price (that price was never displayed to me). I have tried to complain but they are refusing to even understand what I am saying and are taking 1 month to even respond to emails. Appalling. In the past they took 5 months to refund flights after the airline cancelled them. Stay away.
