Something happened. They started well, but are the worst now. We changed supplier and I’d advise anyone to do the same. I’d give them zero stars if I could.

I have spent 2 years relentlessly dealing with this appalling compnay over their billing system issues. I told them 2 years ago that the app was registering the readings but not billing me. I contact them religiously and they did nothing. They finally admitted they had a system error and was still unable to bill me but said not to worry we will sort it all out. 2 plus years on the sort it and send me a bill for £2000 give or take. I called the help centre… that’s a joke, I was given 6 days to pay. Clearly that wasn’t going to happen. I wanted some kind of compensation for all the upset and stress. I was offered £150 when I told them this wasn’t deemed reasonable they took the offer away. Now? As every little helps I went back and said I would accept but not happy. They agreed to give me the credit. Then I couldn’t find it. I contacted them again and they said they’ve added it. 2 days later I get another email, we will add it today. Still nothing. When I then complained they came back with, well as this is t resolve ing the issue we will take back the £150 credit. Funny that…. They can find a way to email and take something from me but couldn’t find the time to show or prove that they had paid it in the first place. After all it didn’t show on their wonderful app. Their way of dealing with their customers is clearly nothing short of disgusting.

last year all 6 of the big energy companies themselves stop the winter Home Discount for the very first time ever in the uk. 👀 😡 as the conservative government & the Labour government have instructed all energy companies themselves pushing on to us making homes more energy rated efficiency or higher to get an A or AA or AAA + in your homes. 👀 😡 This obnoxious & two-faced arrogant company that they are themselves at OVO energy have themselves internally stop the winter Home Discount unfairly means testing us to millions of vulnerable customers from OVO themselves & also for inheriting all of the Ex SSE customers last July time ready for the switch over themselves last August time of 2023 to OVO energy if you can stay well away from this arrogant & obnoxious two-faced company . 👀 😡

The most incompetent energy company I have EVER encountered. 1 star is 1 star too many. Stating I am nearly 30k in debit on my account due to incorrectly stating my smart meter which I do not have was faulty. Numerous promises to rectify..clearly lip service, with different actions required everytime I contacted them. No response to emails sent within the 48 hour window. It goes on and on. I just want to get this closed so.i can switch to another provider.!

Well as a plus you supplied gas and electric to my rental property. However from smart meters being wrong, complaints being closed without any contact with me, incorrect billing addresses, multiple contacts with your agents, who all assured me that they were crediting the meter but unsurprisingly never did. Several trips to a property to manually add credits which is a 3 hour round trip. Frankly I feel for my poor tenants who have taken over account from OVO.

They have withheld my credit for over 4 months now,iv asked and asked for it,reported them to ofgem. They have promised to ring me back today 28th May 24 and not rang. Genuine customer

I only gave one star cos had to this company’s customer service is appalling they do not help in anyway. I’m constantly in debt with them cos of the high payments and when they said I had to go on a pay as you go meter it never got installed, they even sent me the card and a man came round and done something else. They send letters saying I’m being sent to the debt collectors I call their help line and they put me on hold about 5 times and then offer me to pay more a month on direct debit which is why I’m calling them because I can’t afford what I’m paying in the first place. I want to switch but I’m constantly trying to pay them off. Once I rang after holding for an hour got cut off twice and had to start again and young stupid staff that obviously don’t know what they are doing Just got me in frustration and tears and they put phone down on me

Ovo energy made me happy when I made up my mind to cancel being with them, they bare face lie, promise you things then you don't hear a thing, nothing good to say about ovo energy and would advise anybody to stay well clear of this provider

I stayed in a one bedroom apartment and called Ovo to get a quote of what I’ll be paying, they gave me and everything was fine. Until I called for a different reason one day and at the end of the call a lady suggested they can change my meter to a new one and give me a smart meter reader in my apartment. I foolishly accepted and the new meter was fixed. I just noticed on the app that my old bill and new bill drastically increased and I was in debt of about 650£ in total for that month. I called Ovo tirelessly to resolve this and the customer care service was rude and not helping at all, just in 4months of being with Ovo I spent about or over 800£ and still in debt of 480£ as I drop my review. I switched to a much better provider without any complain.. the epc rating of my apartment is A. This caused me so much distress and Ive come to conclusion on not using ovo in my next life. I even warn family and friends so they wouldn’t end up like me.

Waiting a month to repair the meter as it won't accept the card. Told to "run out" of gas so it then becomes an emergency! The most diabolical company I have ever dealt with. Hours wasted on telephone calls. We are pensioners, they just don't care.

I think 1 star is too much for this absolutely incompetent company. 1st they sent a complete idiot round to install a Smart electric meter and he flooded my kitchen. 2nd incident, they came round to install my gas meter and the guys actual words were " sorry mate this is my second day and I have no clue what I'm doing". Thank god he told me. Then several missed appointments. And when I finally move home and stop with OVO/BOOST it took them 6months and 3 failed checks later to finally receive the money I was owed for remainder of my gad and electric. Absolutely terrible!!

Changed my Smart meter from a 1 to a 2 and 5 months later told me it was not getting a Gas meter Reading. So I thought I was in credit all winter so used more heating then I would have. Why wait 5 months before telling me. Sending this one to Rip Off Britain.

I spoke to an advisor called Maria,this morning and I found her very professional and very polite and efficient. Irate his service that she gave me 10/10.That is the reason why I gave 5 stars. Kind Regards M.Ali

Still being charged older prices before 1st of April. I've called numerous times & just get denial after denial even though I can see it on my smart meter & I can see the daily charge is still the higher price before April 1st lower prices. I'm now switching energy company.

OVO.. still waiting for OUR money, £756! Complaint handling 0 out of 10. Fits team 0 out of 10. Whole experience 0 out of 10. We are now at the stage where we are going to take this to court. As it’s been months, lots of chasing from OUR end. And still……….. nothing of nothing. And continuous mixed information and slopey shoulders.

Ovo demands for payments I was assured by my previous supplier there would absolutely be no changes to my service, so why are they threatening recovery if I don't pay monthly when I have always paid quarterly? And 1 can wait 3-5 months for payment from Ovo for solar power!

Ex customer who was lied to about the cost of the gas and electricity and being on a fixed tariff, dd set up for £94.00 but actual dd needed more like £120.00 per month, threated with having smart meter forcibly installed and transferred over to their payg company called boost, followed by debt collectors being set on me after I dared to ask for a worksheet showing how their figures were arrived at but this seems to be standard policy. Ovo Energy made a donation of £200,000.00 to the Tory party before taking over SSE, their boss used to be in banking and Ovo set up in 2009 just after the banking crisis, dd must be notified to customers one month before being changed and must be justified in terms of the energy being supplied and used. Twice I had to report these parasites to the Energy Ombudsman and twice they would be charged £320.00 for the investigation, they even came after me four months after I had left Ovo for an unspecified bill of £75.00 and this resulted in the second complaint to the Ombudsman so to get back £75.00 they forked out £320.00 which indicates their stupidity, incompetence and gross over charging. If the ombudsman is investigating a complaint any so called debt is alleged and the debt collectors cannot proceed till the investigation is completed, either way Ovo Energy get a bill for £320.00, if they start ripping off money via a dd cancel the dd straight away and register a complaint with the Ombudsman, if you have access to social media spread the word about this load of garbage far and wide.

Chased for a bill for 6 months that, by their own admission in writing, I did not owe. Daily texts, calls, messages. Pure harassment. They promised to stop, also in writing, and its still going on. Have opened a dispute with the Ombudsman. Appalling!
