Two weeks ago I used Parcelforce to send an item that was extremely well packed (item was wrapped in bubblewrap then placed in two cardboard boxes and everything was secured with carry straps). I’m fairly certain parcelforce must have chucked the parcel off their van from some height as the item arrived to the customer broken into pieces. So I filed a claim for compensation, which I thought would be a straight forward process and what an absolutely horrible experience it was. Their claims website is the worst site I’ve ever used. They deliberately make the process as difficult and longwinded as possible in the hope that you will give up and won’t bother making a claim. The site constantly displays random error codes and I even tried multiple browsers but the errors kept appearing. I spent over an hour and a half entering all the requested details and uploading all the photos and documentation they insist on. Each and every photo has to be uploaded one at a time and a separate description entered for each. At one point their messaging system refused to work so I resorted to sending the most basic single sentence replies which made communication almost impossible. Fast forward to today and after all that effort, they sent me an email to say they have rejected my claim and won’t be paying any compensation as they don’t believe the damage occurred whilst the parcel was in their care! So not only is their customer service truly horrible, they are also quite happy to lie about damaging your parcel to get out of paying compensation. The entire claims experience is exhausting and it is all for nothing. When are companies like this going to realise that treating customers right is fundamental if they want repeat business. It goes without saying, I will never use their service again and I suggest you avoid them like the plague as when they damage or lose your parcel they will just make up a reason not to pay for it and you will have absolutely no recourse.

Totally useless company. Unable, for some reason, to deliver my item on two attempts despite the fact that Amazon etc have no such problems. The company has the customer’s phone number but it’s on a database the driver can’t access!!!! Support staff at their Aldershot depot are rude, unhelpful and totally unsuited for their jobs. A total farce from beginning to end.

I arranged for Parcelforce Express 48 to collect a parcel today, 13 March. When I checked the tracking webpage this afternoon there was a message saying '13 March 14.09 Collection attempted - customer not available. Leicester Depot'. This is not true - my wife and I were both in the house and have been listening out for Parcelforce. No-one rang the doorbell and no card was left. The parcel cannot now go until Monday, which means that I will miss a deadline. This is very poor, and I understand there have been a number of instances in my area where drivers have claimed that customers have not been available when that has not been the case. I guess when drivers are running late, or just can't be bothered to turn up, it's dead easy to claim that a collection/delivery was attempted...............

Terrible company, I paid for a specific day delivery and I’m still waiting for it 2 days after. I contacted customer service, twice, not very clear or helpful, they said someone is gonna contact me from the depot, aaaand, obviously, as expected, NOTHING. The driver (Franklin) said he attempted to deliver my parcel but no one was available, also that he left a card with information on what to do next. There is no attempted delivery, as I was home the whole day, and there is no card. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY IS A TOTAL SCAM.

I sent 2 boxes of parcel to my family in Indonesia. One box I paid £53.50 and another one £77.50. The parcels came to my family but they have to pay Rp.1,265,000. 00 it's about £71.00. If my family didn't pay it, then they put the parcels as no one belonged. I will never ever again sending the parcel with Parcel Force Worldwide. This is the first and the last time.

Following same theme as previous reviews, I paid extra for the convenience of Parcelforce collecting the parcel from my house. I patiently waited in throughout the 3.5 hour collection window however no one showed up to collect my parcel. I checked Parcelforce's parcel tracking page only to find that the driver had noted "collection attempted - customer not available". I called Parcelforce up to find out what had happened and they confirmed via their own tracking that the driver had not attempted to collect the parcel. They patched me through to my local depot who informed me that they had contacted the driver and he would return to collect my parcel shortly. This didn't happen and as a result I'm going to have to drop the parcel off at my local depot. This is my first time using Parcelforce and I have to say i'm incredibly disappointed with their performance, I wish I'd read others reviews beforehand.

What a useless entity. They are there to provide a service. Nothing could be farther from the reality. On the face of things they provide everything a competent delivery service should. The reality is they are so so difficult to use. It’s like using windows 3.1 vs iOS. - No way of contacting to talk to someone. But you can start a useless online chat with someone who asks the same question 20 times and takes 15 mins to reply to each statement. - allows you to rebook a missed delivery but no options for leaving in a safe place - allows you the option to collect from a post office but will charge you extra - notifies you of a delivery but only after they have tried. Why not txt before then allow customer to re arrange like most competent delivery companies do! - has a track my parcel feature but rather than it being linked to a card through the door or a txt you receive you have to manually type in two pages of information to get in! Parcel force it’s time to modernise or you will find your competition make you obsolete!

Avoid at all cost. Try other couriers. I need to send two packages back to China. One urgent and one less urgent, after comparing the quotes between ParcelForce and DHL. I chose the more expansive ParcelForce for my urgent package because of faster delivery promise. 5 days later, I sent out my less urgent package via DHL and surprisingly it arrived earlier. Both of my packages need custom clearance. DHL actively contacted my receiver to react as soon as possible. On the other hand, my ParcelForce package status was "Pending custom, no action required" for 2 weeks. I asked my receiver to contact custom and guess what, "They are waiting for ParcelForce's input". Apparently, they are NOT doing their job at all. After delaying for more than 2 weeks, I requested partial refund. It was initially agreed by their customer service department and then rejected by refund department. Nice play. It was my first experience with Parcelforce and definitely the last.

Used Parcelforce for 3 days guaranteed international delivery for a super important item to arrive in short time. The parcel arrived after 10 days instead of 3 and I paid fortune compared what would be the postal price with royal mail. In addition to this, I hit customs which cost me additional £75. There were no details on ParcelForce webiste to warn / explain possible additional charges from customs, what are the value bands that hit customs or similar. My item was worth £125 and apparently anything over £100 will be subject to customs and be charged. In summary it cost me £110 for an item worth £125 to arrive in 10 days. To add to the irony, as the original item was stuck in customs, due to urgency, I posted another (same) item via royal mail the week later and paid £13 and both parcels arrived on the same day.

No delivery, no card posted through the door. Next, I receive a text message saying that the parcel is in my local town post office. cancelled the order and requested my money back from the company supplying. If you are supplying goods, use an alternative courier service or better still use Amazon Prime.

A delivery did not arrive, the only explanation hours later was that there was “insufficient address details” to make the delivery, which was posted on the tracker facility online. No contact was made by the delivery driver. When I enquired by phone to Parcelforce I was told that the delivery address I supplied was fine, and that I would be contacted further for an explanation. I received no further contact. Hopefully my parcels will be redelivered, but judging by this service, I’m not confident! I’m staggered!

Was given a delivery time and in short the whole day passed without any sign of my parcel, then tracked it only to find out it was sent back to the depot, with a terrible lie that the courier had tried to deliver but no one was home, that was very frustrating as I had waited in all day. I called up customer service only to be told that the courier had to go home due to personal problems, which I suspect was another tall tale. They are very unprofessional and not trustworthy, avoid, avoid, avoid!!!

Your parcel will be picked up between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm, really you can't be bothered to make an effort and send a text or e mail with a 1 or 2 hour slot, a big fat zero stars from me.

Absolutely horrible, avoid at all costs. Don't send anything of value or that can be broken, because it will get broken.

7 days later still not turned up. No accurate tracking and they make it up at theend of the day, with lies about attempted delivery. If I could give them -10 it would be too much (why do they reviews insite on a minimum of 1 star?).
