BEWARE OF PARCELFORCE. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
I have been a customer of Parcelforce for over 40 years and took my item a heavy exterior sign to the local Post office and it was accepted and insured as a valid item. I had looked at an excluded items link on the Parcel Force site and the item was not on the list. My item got delivered over two days late and smashed to bits despite having foam each side and securely packed.
I put two claims in, one for late delivery and one for total loss damage £150. Parcel Force then produced yet another link of uninsured items which is so huge it almost infringes the trades descriptions act of Parcelforce being a carrier. They refused to pay the damage claim and had the cheek to close off the two day late delivery claim as well. I reopened both claims and the late payment one was settled, the damage one after long wrangle they refused to pay. Below is the final response from the managing director's office which basically says we are an unregulated company so go away there's nothing you can do.
They know full well that if we stuck to the limited list of items they will take and insure they would not have a business hence why at the local Post Ofiice they take everything for money. They are a law unto themselves so AVOID AT ALL COSTS but if you have issues then this is the CEO email address so don't bother with their complaints portal which is useless keeps freezing and crashing just go to the top.

“Only gave 1 star as zero wasn’t an option. Parcel supposed to be delivered by Parcelforce Friday then told Saturday but no parcel now Monday. Parcelforce obviously think people can just sit around waiting for their parcels. I seriously don’t know why businesses choose Parcelforce for their deliveries, they are useless.”

I live in France, and I'm currently with my husband doing an expensive IVF treatment locally. As I was running out of one of the medications (and it was not available in France) I ordered it from the UK and payed ParcelForce the premium service of "next day delivery" for which I had to pay £90.
The package never arrived, this ruined my fertility treatment (which costs +£6.000 !) as I couldn't stop having this medication. In addition there was not even one single communication from ParcelForce on the progress of the delivery and especially on any issues or delays with it.
I then contacted them by the live chat, the lady just said I'm really sorry, we don't know what happened, you might need to wait other 3 days to receive the parcel (That would be standard delivery, not the premium £90 one that they promise and I payed for fast delivery)
Unbelievable and really sad for us.... the very worst delivery service in the UK. A complete abuse to customers (especially for those like me that use it for medical purposes) - I will never use ParcelForce again.”

“i have used parcel force for my business not bad service BUT send a parcel as normal and not indicate large and you will be charged a ridiculous £44.50 plus vat as a surcharge with out them telling you, they let me do this on 21 occasions just rubbed there hands and took it, am taking this further , SO BEWARE OF THESE ROBBERS”

“Useless. JG7707840.arrived 3.5 hours late. Item was damaged beyond repair with impact marks to packaging. Uncaring staff. This outfit is not a patch on DHL or DPD. Parcelforce has awful reviews for a reason. In need of urgent reform. Do not use.”
“I was emailed to say that my parcel was to be to be delivered today but missed the delivery as I had to be away from home this morning. A card was left stating that it would be delivered the next working day.(Three days hence as it is Friday.) The email gave me no indication of how to track the parcel, or an option to have it left in a safe place, which I would have done. I left a signed and dated card taped to my door asking that the parcel be left in a safe place, and accepting full responsibility, but this was ignored. I tried to access the Parcel Force website, but that didn't work, so I'm not even going to attempt to 'phone them. I will never again purchase goods from companies who use this carrier; I recomend DPD who are effecient and always give you options to chose delivery preferences.”
“Apparently the drivers at parcelforce cannot locate an address like normal people do, clear as day on google maps but no, parcelforce cannot find it. Absolutely ridiculous! No way to get hold of the driver either and they make no attempt to contact you if they can't find the address. So I have no card left with details of how to get the package. “I live in Leicester, I ordered from a Company in Leicester, and parcel force is in Leicester, you would think it would be easy but no. apparently parcel force have tried to deliver 3 times without our knowledge because the driver never left a flaming card at any time. Hobbycraft have promised that I will get it Monday 10th of June. as it was ordered in May it would have been quicker for a 3 legged tortoise to deliver it.”

“AVOID. AVOID. The service is really beyond imaginable. I wish we could give negative stars It is so poor. Please AVOID. Simple parcel from Birmingham to Canada paid for using the express service. 2 Weeks later parcel hasn't arrived and parcel force claim they gave it to Fedex and I should call the. Fedex say they haven't received anything from parcel force. The customer service team is terrible.”
“An awful service and a sham of a complaints/appeals process. I wrapped 5 Art Deco glass wall lights into a pretty well wrapped parcel and asked the Post Office Counter what delivery service would deliver these safely. I told the person who served me they were glass wall lights, old and fragile. They didn't question the fact they were glass but asked whether they were mains or battery operated and the value. They then recommended the ExpressAM service which cost £24 which were insured for £200. The lights were delivered the next day but ALL were broken. ParcelForce refused to pay because glass items are not covered! I wouldn't not have used the service had they told me this. The sham of a their complaints and appeals process was a complete waste of time and their website is one of the most unfriendly I've ever had to use. AVOID”

Unable to do a 50 mile round trip to the depot. Only one text on first delivery. Attempted to have it delivered to the local post office - ignored only to find they had tried to deliver it again this morning...
Old fashioned customer service from the mid 70's...

“Parcelforce? More like Parcelfarce! Received text message about a delivery, informing me when it would be delivered. I made sure I was at home but nothing arrived. I tracked the parcel to be informed it had been delivered and signed for by someone I have no knowledge of. I immediately contacted customer services at the Liverpool depot to be told the driver would be interviewed and I would receive a call back the same evening. This never happened. Over the next few days I sent various emails to customer services, made phone calls (all of which kept being answered by the national centre rather than the local depot - did they know it was me calling?!), and requested contact from management. To date I’ve received no communication from this incompetent company. I also reported the matter to the police but they too aren’t interested even though there’s a ‘suspect’. I would never choose to use this company and advise others that they may wish to choose more reliable delivery services because they’re clearly above the law and couldn’t care less about their customers! No wonder there are so many negative reviews too. One star is one too many. It’s about time there was an option for no stars!”

Paid import duties on 21st of May, Still waiting for my item two weeks later, keeps getting told different stories.
Friday 31st June i was told by the same depo it got delivered to a furniture shop and they have a signature but had to speak to the driver.
Was told today 3rd of June by my local depo ( Hatfield ) its been sitting here the whole time and not sure why it hasn't been delivered even though i've spoken to them over 6 times.
Very unhappy!!”
