“Received notification that our parcel was out for delivery, arriving between 1 and 2 pm
The van was about 2 miles away at 2.30pm, by 3 no map was on the app and a message saying it was scheduled for delivery today - 7.00pm and nothing received!!!
Between Parcelforce and EVRI (old HERMES) herpes, you are battling to be the worst - you did a great job of getting 1st place. I think you should change your name to PARCELFARCE!!!”
“Paid £30 online to send a large parcel. Took it to the post office where it was weighed and inspected. 3 weeks later £86!!! taken from my account. "We received your payment - Large parcel surcharge" Theft - pure and simple. A policy worthy of the people who were responsible for the Post Office scandal.”
“Today, I received an email saying that a delivery would be made, so I waited at home. My husband was also at home all day, but no one rang the doorbell, yet I received an email saying delivery could not be made. For years I've been observing, but why is this company so utterly terrible? They have zero credibility. I wish their rival companies would try harder and provide a good service instead. This company is not professional at all. Only companies that can provide good service to customers should remain in business.”
“I was expecting a package. As per message it was supposed to be delivered between 8:15 to 9:15 am. As I live in a building I thought it will be better to be outside. I saw the live tracking and found the truck was just 1 mile away. I stood outside waiting for the truck. No one came and the status on live tracking suddenly changed to attempted delivery and that no one was there....THIS a BLATANT LIE BY THE DRIVER. I then searched and could not reach an agent. However pressing some different options eventually talked to someone who says he has passed on to the depot and the driver. I am waiting to see what happens...but this is for sure not a good experience. Parcel WM4969228. No card was left...can the driver show a proof (our apartment and card) ..I dont think so.....Parcelforce please check this.”
“Disgraceful company. I sold some books for 270, and paid to send them. Paid extra to make sure they were covered by insurance . Parcelforce damaged them and when I made a claim they said books are collectables which is wrong. I appealed but they still said this. Books are not collectables, they are not listed on their list of banned items and when asked at the post office what they were I was not told they were banned. Books are for reading, for education not collectables. They didn't want to pay for THEIR damage which is wrong
They said the insurance I paid was for lose.....BUT I bet they wouldn't pay if they lost them as they claim they are collectables!!! I trusted them to deliver the items undamaged, not asking much? Well it seems it is! I would have been better off sending them with the company everyone hates!!!
Date of experience: 30 March”
“Delivery rescheduled 3 times. They say they attempted to deliver which is not true as we were at home every time. They didn’t left any letter or note and have sent the delivery back to the sender 2 times. Horrible service. Very difficult to contact.”
“Our parcel arrived at the local depot for delivery on the 9 April. It went out for delivery in the 10 April . Finally delivered on the 10 May! Shocking service and yes we paid extra postage for express delivery. What a joke!”
“I took special time off work to pick up an important parcel, the parcel never arrived. Despite this, they tell me that the parcel was delivered but they have no pictures of the delivery. Never again.”
“The parcel never arrived, they say it is delivered, but it is not and the post does not take any responsailities
The parcel never arrived and the post is not taking any action nor responsibility. A parcel was sent to us from the USA (USPS or United States Postal Service), but it did not arrive to our address, they did not inform us when they have apparently delivered it to an unexisting person Mr. Arthur, there was only a picture of a shop. We complained and their only answer was that it was delivered to a neighbor. They do not take any responsibilities nor any action if you do not receive the parcels. An extremely bad and unreliable post. DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICES IN ENGLAND IF YOU WANT YOUR PERCELS DELIVERED.”
“Had two parcels due to be delivered yesterday, coming from the same supplier. However Parcelforce only delivered one, and said they had address issues for the second one. How is that possible? So they can get to my address for one parcel but not the other? We have no end of trouble with Parcelforce, their tracking is never accurate, they only deliver half of an order and simply say “oops” whenever you question them. I’ve asked my supplier if they could ship with someone else in the future because Parcelforce are unreliable.”
“DO NOT use this company. Not impressed with them at all. I paid extra insurance for some books, they turned up broken so I applied for compensation however they decided that books r collectables ??? Bizarre as it's my opinion books are used to read and for education!. Terrible company....they didn't listen to anything I said and refused to pay. So I'm guessing they falsely sold me insurance .....terrible company”
“Paid for a parcel collection (large and heavy) and requested the van driver bring mailing labels. He didn't. I had a chat session with Parcelforce to express my unhappiness and the agent I spoke to confirmed he'd re-arranged the collection a few days later. I waited in for the collection until just before 5pm but no-one came. As the parcel had to be posted that day I had the time, effort and expense to take it to a post office. I complained to Parcelforce and requested compensation for their failure to provide the service I'd paid for and for my inconvenience. I had to chase for a response. No, they don't offer redress. I'll avoid Parcelfarce in the future - useless.”
“Sent some crucial medicine to my son and was told would get delivered the next day but they've taken (Shanon) it to the post office. He's at work and the post office closes at 5 pm.
Customer service is in a shambles and will re-deliver in the next 3 to 5 working days, by that time the epi-pen and other medicine have gone off.
Avoid Parcelforce at all costs.”
“Sent two small parcels to Spain, both containing a house key, urgently needed. Both sent by Global priority, total cost over £60. One awaiting delivery, 4 days after promised delivery date. The other has currently spent 5 days in the UK being “prepared for export”. In both cases the paperwork (thanks Brexit) was prepared by Post Office staff. A useless and expensive service.”
“Got a message from Parcelforce last Friday saying they had tried to deliver my parcel and no one was in. They hadn’t. Partner and I were in all day and have a loud door bell. No delivery no card. Got another on Monday saying it was out for redelivery, then the 'failed to deliver' message appeared on the tracker. In all day, including the time they say they tried to deliver. A complete fabrication. No one called, no card left! Went to the depot, some distance away, first thing Tuesday to complain. Lo and behold the parcel was there, not out for redelivery. Think the system is designed to get you to collect from the depot or pay the surcharge for delivery to a local post office! They have no interest in you as a customer only your money.”
“Parcelforce 48 hr delivery.
11 days later, not delivered.
Tracking website tells in very concise detail where your parcel might be, then when it is 'out for delivery', and, when it achieves 'attempted delivery' - Nb. this doesn't mean that your parcel was taken to the delivery address. It then returns to 'the depot'. All of these delivery related events appear to happen in the same location 'the depot'.
In my experience, it wasn't presented once (and there was no 'missed delivery ticket') at the delivery address, and then, it inevitably goes back to 'the depot'. Or, did it even leave? Who knows.
A re-visit to tracking website will reveal that you hadn't been in when they didn't come to your door.
If your parcel isn't 'delivered' twice on the tracking website, this is when you have to arrange 'redelivery', or more accurately, 'delivery'.
There is one arrow left in your quill - delivery to your local post office, which I can recommend, as they cannot be accused of 'not being in'.
A courtesy call after requesting option for delivery to local Post Office (further paid service) - 'parcel is too big' for that.
WTF!”
“No knock on the door. Heard the letterbox so ran to the door. The delivery driver had posted the card through saying no one was home. Ran out of the house to his van, he saw me and drove off. I ran after him as urgently needed the parcel and he just kept driving. Obviously wanted an early finish on a Friday and couldn’t be bothered to do his job.”
“Instead of sending any letters with them, simply throw £30 in a bin along with your documents. Then put a phone to your ear and listen to classical music for an hour with a recording of an upbeat woman telling you the are 'busier than usual'.
This is the parcelforce experience.”
