“I tried to send a parcel via the local post office that uses parcelforce and this was returned to me on the basis of restricted item which it wasn't.
I claimed for a reimbursement on the parcelforce website and they have a put up an incredibly cumbersome system, obviously designed to discourage any claim attempts: you have to register, to given a massive amount of useless and redundant details, and then submit a file with photo of receipts - while they have all data on their records. In the end my 40 quids have disappeared
Next time I will be very careful to avoid this useless service.”
“A zero would be a better option. This is the fourth time that this is happening and it's beyond appalling. Parcelforce should be ashamed.
Whoever delivers on our route always lies that they have attempted delivery, and takes our parcels to the post office for us to collect. If he has attempted delivery, why doesn't he ever leave a cardš
Trouble is, we only find that out when we contact the seller, as the lazy lying delivery driver hasn't attempted to deliver.”
“Diabolical. Cannot deliver in 48 hours as promised ( at a great expense) ..... Twice. Sat in the Gloucester Depot now for 2 days, according to their woeful app. Won't be using them again”
“Lied about trying to deliver a parcel that I'd waited in for. Just sent an email saying I had to collect from post office instead. I tried to schedule redelivery for the next day, which the website said had been a success. Guess what, no redelivery. Tried to contact them, just got automated messages.
UPDATE: I've since complained to the shop sending the item - I think this is the only way to effect any change and I encourage the scores of people on here with the same experience to do the same.”
“THIEVING LYING GROUP
When I was visiting friends in Leeds, I had accidentally left behind my jacket. One of my friends were kind enough to try getting it back to me through postage. Not only have Parcel Force lied about attempted delivery, but they have probably stolen my damn item. My friend said that if they had known that it was going to this "business", they would have found someone else to do it like DPD.”
“A firm who's sole purpose is to move items from point A to point B has collected my 1.5 metre long parcel from point A and now lost it. When I reported this to them they were dismissive and rude. Its been nearly two weeks and I'm fairly sure one of their staff has stolen it. Great. Never use them. Ever.”
“Abysmal service, I didn't think in 2019 you could survive as a business being so completelly inept and lacking any basic understanding about how delivery services or public relations work.”
“Packaging was badly damaged to the point they couldn't deliver because the slip with address was not legible. Package was sitting at their depot for over a week until I contacted them. When I gave delivery address and rearranged delivery, they did not show up clianibg packaging was damaged. Package had been damaged a week before so why hadn't they resolved this? No communication and poor customer service. Would never use them again.”
“A few months ago I had a parcel being delivered by parcel force. I popped out for 20 mins and missed them by 5 mins Called and chap said he would call driver and he would come back. Never did. Called again and they agreed not to deliver before 12 . They did so called again. Asked to deliver to village post office. I went to collect it and they tried to deliver at home. I got a message to say I had to collect at their depot some 40 miles away. Complained and finally received the item then next week. Again another delivery within 48 hours. Received an āinteractiveā text. ( returned message and tried to call number but error message) to say SHOULD be with me 12-1pm. Checked online tracking and said still in depot. Called at my expense to see where parcel was and told was out for delivery and time approx. That means he could come any time during the day. Would not except telephone complaint and given wrong telephone number to call and complain. If I was told all day I would not be happy but thatās there system. But telling me should be 12-1pm is misleading. Appalling service”
“A young lady delivered a very heavy land rover tyre to my sonās house this morning - not remarkable in itself. That the road was closed at the time and that she had to roll it 100m down the road to get to the house showed real commitment. Well done her!”
“If I could give a zero star I would, I paid a real good money for them to delivery my item in four days and its been 8 days and still not delivery I just can't believe it I used their priority services, hope I doesn't get lost at least it is of great value the package and the money I paid!!! very disappointed should know because Royal Mail also lost two of my itens in the past and I didn't
even got the rebound for it!! hate their terrible services!!”
“Awful service. 2 parcels sent using their Express 24 service. Not yet arrived after 4 days despite being marked as out for delivery.... Apparently the driver ran out of time and they won't now deliver until next week as the weekend delivery surcharge was not paid.... Why would you? Dispatched on Wednesday for 24 hour delivery. Other companies consistently get this right.... DO NOT USE PARCELFORCE if you need your item to actually arrive on time”
“If I could give 0 star .. thatās what they deserve..
Paid next day delivery
Was deliver but not to me...
Contacted parcel force 2 time.. the keep you waiting on the line (extra 60Ā£ phone bill)
One member of staff didnāt call back... other one hang on me.. called depot explaining they trying to contact person who delivered who knows where as address and name of business is big enough for half blind person not to miss..
last call apologies to me that driver finish for the week .. he will be back on Monday ... ( what about his phone? ) he can still answer the phone and remember where he left the parcel..
well Monday will be to late for birthday present ...
they never call back... rude staff...”
“Firstly driver never finds the correct address then they make note on behalf of you to re-arrange delivery without any date or instructions, when you call them money making policy never get through right department, staff on the phone also not helpful at all as you ask them search address on their database they said what address you say we write so it means they don't have address database?? Also drivers never calls on provided numbers as they are self employed so it's not their responsibility to deliver parcel on right address and on right time.”
“The driver didn't ring my doorbell. With four people in my house I was surprised to find the slip saying I had to pick the package up tomorrow.
Unsurprised by the 1.18 stars Parcelforce has and will not willingly use them again.”
“I can't believe the incompetence of this organisation. I was due to receive a delivery on Monday of this week (which had taken 7 days rather than the 2-3 advised). I got a message on the tracking system that the driver 'could not find our address' (!) - despite the fact that Royal Mail delivered various letters and packages to our address that day. I therefore called the helpline to request delivery to the local post office offered on the automated system. The system advised me that it would take a further 2 days and that I would have to pay a Ā£1 surcharge for the privilege. I checked the tracking system the following day to check that the delivery had gone out to the nominated post office and was dumbfounded to see a message that the parcel could not be delivered because the post office that the system had nominated no longer existed (!!!). Completely frustrated I rang the Newcastle depot and was told that they didn't know why their system had identified a non-existent post office but that the parcel would definitely be delivered to another local post office (the one we would have chosen had the system given us a choice) the following day. Given the level of incompetence shown so far, we perhaps should not have been surprised when the Parcelforce driver arrived at the post office without the parcel and just said that we should call the depot - it wasn't his problem. The only solution at this stage is to ask the despatching company to re-send another product via UPS or DPD who will have no problem finding our address and delivering probably the following day. I don't understand why anyone would use such a useless organisation. They deserve to go out of business.”
“I organised my parcel for delivery today with Parcelforce, having looked at my emails to track my parcel itās saying, āattempted delivery todayā
& that the Driver should leave a card through letter box
no delivery was attempted. No delivery card left!!
They donāt even deserve a 1 star !!
VERY DISHONEST & VERY DISAPPOINTED !!”
