What can I say but very good customer service clear and precise in their explanations of paperwork and detailed. Friendly Staff at the Kirkcaldy Branch and I must say for what I was looking for I was directed to a Staff Member who knew exactly what I needed for my business and went the extra mile on my behalf to achieve this for me. Im well happy with the service received I give it 9.4 out of 10. Michael Carpenter Scotia Electricals

The most friendly and efficient staff I've encountered at any car dealership in my area to date. The people I dealt with at Peter Vardy seemed to take genuine pride in providing a first class service and I would not hesitate to recommend them based on my experience.

Gap explained, premium protection not discussed but £250 charge and no paperwork. Emailed a week ago, automated receipt but no response. No wheel key and missing nut in box. Told I would get rubber mats and they are fabric ones,

During my visit to the motherwell showroom I found all members of staff very attentive and helpful to find me a car that suited my needs. The whole experience was very relaxed and there was no pressure .

I was very disappointed with the service which I had received from Peter Vardy Motherwell Branch. This is the 2nd time I have an issue with Peter Vardy. First time it was sorted my shutting my mouth with a £50 Parts and Labour voucher. There are list of issues which I had when purchasing my new car. 1) The Order Form which I received had monthly payments of £367.21, but when I went to sign the paper it showed £371. I was told it was an error because the sales agent was new starter. My question is shouldn't a manger check this before sending it to a customer. 2) The finance document had my old Bank Account details. I would like to know how can Peter Vardy use my old bank details and not check with me before sending it to Finance company. If I hadn't noticed this I would have had bad credit rating because I would have missed my payments. I was given the same reason like the 1st issue. THIS IS A BREACH OF DATA PROTECTION. I am very unhappy with this. 3) After I had picked my new car I noticed that the Start/Stop function doesn't work. Took it to the showroom and they couldn't sort the issue. I had to leave the car for further diagnosis and later it was found that the issue was with the Battery, so the battery was replaced. I was told by the agent that the cars are fully checked before delivering it to the owner (something like 141 checks), so how come this was missed and I was given a new car with a non functional battery. 4) I hold a personal number plate and I had spent around £50 to get it done because I had GB emblem and it was 3D Gel Print, because of this reason I had clearly told the manager that when I return my old car I would like to take the number plate because I know Peter Vardy won't do the plate like I want. I was told that shouldn't be an issue. After I collected my car I had asked them about my old plate and I was old that it was binned. This made me very angry and after speaking to the agent and another person I was told I can get the plate done myself and Peter Vardy will reimburse the cost. Its Ok that Peter Vardy are going to reimburse but why did they have to bin my plate when I told them that I will need it. Now this is an additional cost for my because I have to travel to Halfords. (Fuel isn't cheap now a days). This is the case of dealing with Peter Vardy. I don't think I will ever recommend anyone to Peter Vardy, because this is the 2nd time I have had issues with Peter Vardy.

Service was great. Eddie is a very professional sales man. He is genuine and not a sales man that puts pressure or bombards you. Kelly was also very professional and again explained the service plans without forcing you to take the plan there and then. Very pleased with the service received and will definitely recommend the Motherwell garage to friends and family.

I went in, seen a car I liked and the week after, the car was mine. I have never received such a smooth and excellent customer service from the Peter Vardy garage in Kirkcaldy, Fife. The sales person, Christopher, was brilliant. He was very informative and always kept me up to date on the process. He was welcoming and he answered any questions I had. He made sure that everything was ready for me picking my car up. There was a issue with the tyre and he ensured that this was corrected ASAP and it was, within a few hours everything was solved and I cant thank Chris enough. I was also presented with flowers when I picked my car up, which put an even bigger smile on my face. Great Service and a great team! Thanks again.

My view of Peter Vardy as a reputable car dealer was undermined, as the quality and standard of information received when baying a car is insufficient and frankly misleading. When signing paperwork we were convinced by 2 members of the staff along with the manager, that the agreement signed is on a 3.9% APR and annual interest paid per annum will also be 3.9%. When we came in to sign the paperwork, we again questioned the value and again we received a confirmation that interest paid will amount to 3.9%, the manager who got brought into the conversation again confirmed this, but stated he could not explain what the APR in fact is and that no one know it. We reluctantly signed the agreement, as we did not want to pull of the buy - but following check of the paperwork, the annual interest rate turned out to be 9.6%. The information received was misleading. We since withdrawn from the agreement, accruing a £90 admin fee for the paperwork preparation plus a daily interest. That amounted to a cost of more than £100 we would not need accruing if the information provided at the day of the sale was correct, as we informed the seller we had cash and did not need financing in the first place, then decided to go ahead as the interest rate seemed to be low and we wanted to use the savings in other way. Later we discovered the car we bought is lacking basic information shown on a computer - it only shows tyre pressure, When we asked a member of the staff about it, we received a confirmation that nothing can be done which is incorrect, as the car only needs to have other options unlocked and it seems to be a simple task that to other garages we asked for information would have any issue with. At the time of a buy we also asked for a quotation of additional fittings, like cruise control. That was only provided after our second personal visit to the store…. Overall, at the day of the buy, staff seems to be interest in making a deal, prior to signing in the paperwork, we received number of phone calls, to clarify whether we are still going ahead with the purchase and others. Post sale - it seems you no longer care to keep your customers happy and informed, questions asked - remain unanswered unless prompt, and we felt we were an inconvenience. kind regards,

Hi Emil, I'm sorry to hear of the issues you have had with our Aberdeen branch. We will b in touch soon to discuss. Thanks

Well that is the first and last time i purchase a car from Peter Vardy Aberdeen. vauxhall insignia Purchased 21/12/2013 and within weeks had to spend £600 + on tyres and brakes . Tyres that were unevenly worn to the point that would have been unmissable on the so called pre-sale checks. Checked tyres and found to be down to 1mm at various points . So not only worn but highly likely illegal at point of sale. Brake discs and pads also so badly worn that again highly likely illegal at point of sale . I made my disappointment known on Peter Vardys social media site ( as any customer care / complaints dept impossible to locate ) to be called back by the branch manager promising to investigate and that is where the communication ended. Onto my next visit to Peter Vardy Aberdeen to investigate coolant loss , only to be accused of " not replacing cap correctly leading to the coolant loss". Fault reoccurred within days , back to Peter Vardy to then diagnose cracked tank. Managed to get money refunded after the 2nd wasted trip. Finally the latest disappointment . Car in for end of warranty check last week and while in Peter Vardy Aberdeen's possession fault developed with parking sensors . Not believing in coincidences of that level decided to give the dealership the benefit and booked the car in for first thing this morning . On arrival at 08:00 as agreed told that car would have to be left all day and I would have to sign waiver to agree to underwrite fee of £118 . Even in the unlikely event of the repair not being covered by the warrant a fee of £118 for a repair that if not covered would be diagnosed and corrected in minutes . Well that was the last time Peter Vardy Aberdeen will be receiving my business. Good sales staff , good handover which was very personal as the car was a gift for my wife however the impression we have had is that once the car was handed over any issues and we were on our own.
