“Sales staff were excellent. Unfortunately I have had problems with reverse gear since day one. Service personnel came to my house and collected the car (I had a courtesy car) and adjusted the cable before bringing it back to me. Unfortunately the problem persisted and, today, I took it back again. I was taken out for practice 3-point turns and it turns out that I am not changing gear properly!! This is my 9th new Vauxhall, I have been driving for 44 years and I have never come across this before. Just a different technique required for this car. I think it would be a good idea if reverse gear was selected at some point during a test drive, as If I had had the opportunity during my 2 test drives, this could have been sorted out then. Your service personnel (particularly Andy) have been marvellous. Thank you, I hope all will be well from now on.”
“On arrival we found we were not given any attention although salesmen didn't all appear to be too busy, However once the receptionist arranged salesman Dave to attend to us, he introduced himself very well and presented himself in a most personable style. We had a good idea of which model of car we wished to purchase but Dave explained all the options available and was very helpful in every way. We did purchase a car and it was agreed it would be collected the following day at arranged time - there appeared to be some hold up with waiting on car being taxed at P Office, this was perhaps problem with PO. Again Dave was apologetic regarding the circumstances as I reckon this was outwith his control (perhaps a management issue? ) We would like to thank Dave for his assistance and the mannerable way he handled the sale of the car JA”

We looked at a bigger car (which I really don't need) and which would cost more than I am willing to pay. After some discussion I left with a new Corsa to replace my slightly more than 3-years-old Corsa and with the same monthly payments. “Overall good, however I felt uncomfortable at the suggestion that I could just hand back my old car to the finance company as I had made over 50% of the payments and was still in negative equity with the car. I was assured that this would not affect my credit rating. I decided that I would go ahead and purchase the new car but paid off the outstanding finance on my old car.
It felt like a dodgy way of dealing, one that would come back and bite me in the future.”
