After talking to phones 4u and being a little bit technophobic I trusted your sales team to provide me with a suitable handset and contract after explaining what I needed. I was amazed at the poor quality handset which I was provided and promptly sent it back to then be supplied with a newer version of the same phone which is not at all fit for purpose and to this end I am now stuck with a phone I will not use for a 2 year contract and no way out of it but to buy myself out which I am not in a position to do. After being called a liar by your customer service team when I explained I asked for an I phone 4s originally I will never use you again or recommend you to anybody.

What a nightmare! From paying for 2 brand new phones we received 1 brand new one and 1 reconditioned 1. To add insult to injury, the replacement phone was then faulty. This took over 2 months in total to rectify. The faulty phones were my husbands. He us self employed and this cost him quite a lot of business at the time. Clients could not get hold if him at all. Never again will I deal with Phones4u

Hi Lorraine, Thanks for getting in touch and leaving a review. I'm really sorry to hear of the experience yourself and husband have had. We do offer a 28 day exchange period in the unlikely event your handset is faulty. It is extremely rare with iPhone handsets for anything to be opened prior to delivery as they are all sealed units. I can see your husband was referred to our Technical Support team to look into the problem you were experiencing with the handset. I hope the problem has since been resolved and again apologies over the situation. I can imagine it was an extremely frustrating period for you both. Thanks again, Hugh

Don't deliver to work address, had to take a day off for delivery. First phone delivered was faulty, ran up a 60 pound phone bill calling to rectify this then, as you don't deliver to work addresses go to the middle of nowhere to pick it up from the depot.

Hi John, Thanks for getting in touch and leaving a review. I'm sorry the phone you received was faulty. We do offer a 28 day exchange period in the unlikely event your handset is faulty. We can only deliver to your home address in these instances for security purposes. In regards to your £60+ bill I would refer you to speak to the network provider T-Mobile, you can reach them by dialing 150 off your mobile. They will be able to give you a breakdown of the numbers you have called which have resulted in the additional £20+ on top of your normal bill. If you experience any further problems or have any queries please do not hesitate to get in touch with us via our free Live Chat facility available on support.phones4u.co.uk. Thanks again John, Hugh

I was promised a gourmet society membership as part of my offer but it has never materialised.

Hiya Emma, Thanks for getting in touch, hope you're well? I'm sorry that you've not received the details on how to claim and set up the Gourmet Society Membership. I've got your email address so I'll send you the details and link that you need to do this. So sorry for the delay. Thanks, Sam.

Tried to upgrade two phones with this organisation earlier this year. Supplied all the details and put the order in for the wife's, then did the same for mine, but because mine couldn't be upgraded until a week later it meant the order was split. Wife's came alright but a week later mine hadn't. Rang to check and found that there was no order for mine on the system, even though the man I ordered through was adamant everything was ok and would be fine. As the result of this I was unable to receive the "free" gift I had requested. I was offered something I didn't want and in the end because they couldn't even process any of my order, I cancelled it. Ended going elsewhere for my phone and started again. Ended with two separate contracts which confused the hell out of EE and my bank. Would be better going straight to EE direct next time. Also the contracts they offered were not as good because they compensated themselves for the alleged free gifts.

I was coming to the end of the my previous contract, when I realized that I wasn't completely happy with the service that I was receiving from my current provider. I remember that the Galaxy note 3 had just came out and I had already fallen in love with it. Phones4u helped me find a deal that would suit me they spent around an hour on the phone with me, looking for different deals and found the perfect deal, they made sure that everything was in place and that I was happy. They care about their customers.

Hi Andrew, Thanks for taking the time to get in touch and leave a review. I'm really sorry to hear of the experience you've had. I can see the correct replacement phone has now been delivered and your tariff has been amended. I can imagine it must have been a very frustrating situation to be in. I hope you were not inconvenienced too much and everything is now running smoothly. Thanks again Andrew, Hugh

1. It took a 30 minute call to upgrade during which I had to repeatedly give information you must already have. 2. It took repeated attempts to get my cashback paid

Hi John, Thanks for getting in touch and leaving a review. Sorry to hear you had some initial problems with the contract. I hope you've now received your cash-back all else is well. In regards to the sales call being around 30 minutes long. This not out of the ordinary as the sales agent must clearly obtain all of your personal and account information as well the choice of phone and tariff etc masking sure you fully understand your options and what you have agreed to. I hope you were not inconvenienced too much though. Thanks again John, Hugh

I'll start this by saying that I have always used phones 4u. Basically I was on a rolling contract and decided that I would move across from orange to EE (the same company). I went into one of your stores and was offered a deal to move that matched an offer that was made to me by O2. I accepted the deal and moved across and had an iPhone 5 in the process. I was initially delighted. However it came to my attention that I was given an additional line in lieu of a new contract. Paying nearly £120 for a month. I ended up doing this for three months whilst a yourselves and EE/orange disputed who was to blame. £180 out of pocket, I eventually agreed to pay EE. I am incredibly disappointed by both yr attitude and customer service. I have been a valued customer of yours for several years and for no fault of my own have been punished by your inability. Regards Andy

Hi Andy, Thanks for taking the time to get in touch and leave a review. I'm sorry to hear of your experience. I can imagine it must have been very frustrating to have been in that situation. I can confirm that Phones 4u had not asked for any additional line to be set up as there was no credit check ran for such. Apologies over the experience Andy. I hope we can look to retain your custom in the future. Thanks again, Hugh

I bought an iPhone on Vodafone which turned out to pretty much useless to me because I have no signal whatsoever in my area. It would of been useful to me if there was a signal checker before ordering.

Hi Sarah, Thank you for getting in touch and leaving some feedback. I'm sorry to hear you do not have good signal. We do have coverage checkers for each of our network providers available on our website at www.phones4u.co.uk/vodafone. It may be worth contacting Vodafone to inquire about a Sure Signal Box. This box connects to your homes wifi and guarantees 3G signal in your home. I hope this helps, Hugh

Very helpful when they phoned me back after my leaving my mobile number regarding upgrade of phone. Talked me through all options without any form of pushing. I ended up with a better phone than the one that I was after (Nokia Lumia 1020 rather than the 925), the same package that I was currently one (through T-Mobile) at a cheaper rate. Can't fault this. The only problem occurred with the delivery - it came a day earlier than I had re-arranged, but luckily I was at home to sign for. Would recommend.

My wife and I purchased new phones as part of the agreement there was a cash sum of £240.00 combined which hasn't been paid into the account yet. When speaking to a collegue they advised nothing on system to show this deal was agreed. I would greatly like this to be looked into.

I feel that it-s not made very easy for customers who order over the phone and you get much better service in store. You need to ensure that customers are made aware of what they can and can't do by doing it via phone.

Hi Hannah, Thanks for getting in touch and leaving some feedback. I'm sorry you didn't feel the service was as good as store. I can appreciate there is more of a personal touch in store, but the telesales team should also be able to answer any questions you may have about a contract. I hope we can offer you a better service in the future. Thanks, Hugh

Nothing But a Nightmare company to deal with. Tried to cancel an upgrade within 24 hours of agreeing to one on phone, only for them to rewrite the Distance Selling Regulations to suit themselves. Rude, Unhelpful and arrogant staff on the LIVE CHAT facility, telephone and in store. Will never deal with them again.

Hi Robert, Thanks for getting in touch and leaving a review. I'm sorry to hear you were unhappy with the service provided. At the time of purchase there was a no returns policy with any upgrades purchased, this is because an upgrade is a continuation of your previous contract. I hope the contract is now running smoothly, apologies for any inconvenience caused when contacting ourselves. Thanks again, Hugh

Crazy customer servicing!!! Why can't I go into one of the shops for advice/help? They told me because I ordered online it is totally separate from the shops and strictly speaking did not have to help me. However when I went into the Bournemouth branch the guy was very helpful though I should not have to go through that in the first place.

Hi Stephen, Thanks for getting in touch and leaving some feedback. I'm sorry to hear you were advised our Phones 4u stores would not be able to help. This is not the case, as you have now experienced. The only restriction would be is that stores cannot process any till functions for Web/Telesales customers. I hope you received the service you required. Many thanks, Hugh
