Put simply, pure incompetence. Zero communication, zero help. Chain has now collapsed and now thousands out of pocket. If you love unimaginable stress then these have it covered.

Avoid like the plague. They are the most incompetent bunch of liars and cowboys that I have ever experienced in my life, to keep blaming data outage is beyond belief, it doesnt wash with me anymore, I nearly lost my house purchase which has already cost us thousands of pounds in upgrade fees as it is a new build, lack of communication and they are certainly not cheap by any means. Lets just hope completion goes through smoothly as it is less than two weeks.

We were due to exchange on the 9th November with our buyers wanting to Complete on the 22nd November, on the 8th November we noticed that the website and app wasn't responding. We filled in the online form, our conveyancer, Holly, told us she couldn't get into the system, we would have to wait. I submitted another contact form the following week, explained that our buyers were elderly people who had moved out of their home and were in effect homeless. We eventually exchanged and completed on the 30th November, 8 days later. I believe our sale was prioritised owing to our buyers circumstances. Other than the IT outage that delayed our sale we personally found our conveyancer to be spot on for communication, response times and efficiency. Sad to hear about the woes of others, we can empathise with your plight, earlier in the year someone in our chain pulled out on exchange day, apparently in a 'fit of pique'. Our buyers had to resell their property. The old saying "patience is a virtue" has tested us to the limit.

Terrible communication, didnt even want to give one star, but you don't get that option. Complete shambles, not even getting updates from estate agent. there has been an outstanding enquiry for over 7 weeks now at the top of our chain. Can't get any updates been told we may exchange before Christmas I presume that's 2021, but might not be able to complete till new year. We have been given no reason for this at all. Surely exchange and completion can be done in the same day. Seriously thinking of pulling out of the purchase. We just want to know the truth as to what is happening with our Purchase.

The worst customer service I have EVER experienced incompetent on a good day , down right liars every other day and this was before the IT outage ,data breach offline server or whatever they decide it was on the the day who knows, they tell you something different every time you call ..and you have to call otherwise you don't hear anything from them .... totally useless...take my advice and steer well clear.

I just want to give a little hope to people still waiting for contact or updates, I myself was searching through reviews desperate to see that sales were still completing, so I just wanted to write a short review to say I have now heard and am completing this week, I was waiting and submitting the form, with no contact, but when Ali my solicitor rang me back she was so apologetic and I just couldn’t loose my temper as it really wasn’t her fault, I was terrified mine would fall through, so I just wanted to give anyone still waiting a little hope

My parents house sale had no chain and went through on 17th November and they still have not received their money from the house sale! No replies to emails or phone calls and Connells are the same !! Disgraceful the stress it is causing - we have builders here waiting for their money and no idea where it is, there were big red flags when the house sale nearly fell through because of a 'security breach' at the solicitors! Let's hope my parents 250k is safe???? as we have no idea where it is!

Absolute shambles. Phone calls ignored. Emails ignored. It took numerous calls and and emails to get an update. I had a 60 day period of silence for my conveyancer Dan Tabner. When I finally got to speak to him he asked me what I wanted to know. Well isn't that obvious. After a brief phone call with him in which he blamed my buyers solicitor and gave me no information at all, I received an email from Dan Tabner. This email had a series of questions about my property which I answered immediately an sent back. 24 hours later I received a call from Dan Tabner in which he told me my buyers solicitor had some questions. I asked if they were the same questions as he emailed me last night. To my total disbelief he had no knowledge of his email. Totally incompetent and unprofessional service. Call centre tactics by anonymous people who couldn't give a toss. Was lead to believe PPL was the in house solicitor of Strike Estate agents. This is a complete LIE. I could go on more but I think you'll get the picture. Complete set of muppets. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. LEAVE THE BIG BOY JOBS TO THOSE WEARING BIG BOY TROUSERS.

This is the worst incompetent company I have ever had to deal with. You cannot get hold of anyone, your conveyancer and the supervisor are all uncontactable every time you call, no emails answered, you are completely ignored. It is such a worrying and stressful situation as we are about to lose our house yet they couldn't care less. Absolutely disgraceful. Avoid this company, they just screw you over.

I have never written a review before because no company has proven to be this incompetent. If I could give 0 stars i would!!! Avoid this company at all cost!!!! Its been 2 months and I still havent heard back from them. We have had no contact from our solicitor since joining. You cannot get in contact with anyone, emails are ignored and phone calls are unanswered. We have been filling out the contact form as they have advised us to do and we still haven't heard back from them. There has been no progress since I have joined, they do not care about the stress they put you through. I wish I did more research on this company before joining and discovered these reviews. If you're planning to join, dont! Save yourself. No words can describe how terrible this company is.

one star is too many. I am sure there are dedicated people at the end of this hopeless service. But they are uncontactable. 4 weeks ago queries from my buyer and today same questions unanswered, oh...but if I pay an extra £80 they will be able to cover the two outstanding questions. My personal experience is they are Sharks! Beware Everything left until the house I am trying to purchase threatens to pull out unless SOMETHING at my end happens. Well done!

PPL has had a catastrophic software breach, however, I have not be contacted at all for over 3 weeks, at a crucial time in two expensive transactions. What can one make of this? It appears that going forward PPL is a dead duck. Certainly, the stress accrued through working with this firm means I could never recommend them, sadly. Nice idea, flawed application.

My seller are using this lot for their sale. As their buyer PPL did not bother to tell me they had suffered a "Cyber Attack", meaning although my purchase should be completed, i am in the queue with thousands of others who have been negatively impacted by their incompetence Did not even bother to contact me so I found out via my Estate Agents! Rubbish!.
