“Please use any other company than this one to get your PT certification. I have never experienced customer service like it.
If you call customer service for anything, they are uninterested and unhelpful, can never find your profile on their system, and they laugh with their colleagues in the background. You can tell that they get phone calls all the time with people complaining and are immune to it.
I gave up getting certified with them because I would rather pay and never deal with calling them again. I kept paying the the direct debit for the remaining 1.5 years and of course the month after my direct debit finished I got an email saying I am in arrears. I called to get this sorted and again, they have no information their side and can't even find me on the system, after being on the phone for 40 minutes.
I never write reviews, but this company is so awful and has taken up so much of my time for nothing, and after me paying for my Level 2 & 3. There are so many other good PT certification companies out there, if one person doesn't use PT Academy from reading this, I would have saved them a huge headache.”
“Terrible company I told them I was unable to do the course just after 14 day period and they threatened to take my money, left it for a year only to take 125 pound after I paid 375. I was never able to start this course and they refused to cancel my contract after asking them multiple times.

I had to put my course on hold as I had to prioritise caring for both of my sick parents until they both died recently in October and then 12 weeks later in January. An extension could only be granted with paying more money.
I decided to let it go as really my whole experience with dealing with the PTAcademy has been disappointing. Constant changes and a lack of communication nothing personal at Personal Training Academy at all. In my experience I feel they don’t really care whether you commence your course or need help or contact you. Once they have your money, that’s it. Don’t expect anything personal only generic comms and that’s it.”

Do not purchase any PT certification packages from this company. They are a joke. My partner has paid the entire fee over a period of a couple years but still hasn't even been able to complete the level 2 certification as the assessor was 'unavailable' on multiple occasions. More like they could not be arsed.
As a successful personal trainer myself, I find their incompetence and communication times absolutely disgraceful and an embarrassment to the fitness industry.

These guys understood how annoyed we were with the PT academy and were able to make up for lost time and money for my partner who is now on the way to completing her level 3 within a couple months, more than a 10th of the time that the PT academy were even able to respond to a damn email. And Boffit had already had a lot of people who also had a very negative experience with the PT academy.
This place shut be shut down instead of conning young aspiring fitness professionals out of money and ruining their chances of making a successful career.”
“Booked with PT academy initial sign up brilliant and easy got doing the course , which is meant to be flexible and some Times my current occupation could conflict which I would have to priorities as this is what funds the course , trainer I got assigned 1st time was extremely rude I was told I am a waste of time and I am a time waster , reported the disrespect I received and there was no care in the world, once your signed on and signed that contract they really couldn’t care less!!! I WOULD NOT ENROL. if I had to the choice to leave I would the service is disgusting”
“Paid £1795 for a 'flexi-learning' course that you can complete 'in your own time,' only to be surprised with a £200 're-enrollment fee' because it had gone over 2 years.
Lots of extra charges await you in the T&C's.
Trying to sort this out or recover money has been met with a total lack of response, as can be seen in the image attached (6 emails that have been ignored while they hold my 1795 GBP).”
“Utterly terrible, if I could give anyone any advice it’s to stay away from these scammers. They sell you the dream, pretend to understand your circumstances and need for urgency, take your money, tell you to do things quickly so you’re qualified asap then take weeks to get back to you. I completed my course in 3 weeks and I’ve been waiting almost 3 months for them to mark it. A complete disgrace”

“Same thing here bad experience like you say once they have your money the personal circumstances mean nothing to them .
They don’t keep up to date files and ask you for the information they should have .
I’ve had emails and letters ignored now and they have taken over 1,200 pounds of my money yet not supplied the course or contacted me that’s theft .
They witheld my course from me as I wouldn’t set up a direct debit for some money I owed and threatened me with interest saying I’m lucky I’m not being charged interested even though my son was ill and I was caring for him at home and in a bad place they were very abrupt and uncaring .
Even when I was making regular payments they didn’t supply my course and I’ve had to chase them they have gave a wrong amount of what I owe snd still witheld the course while ignoring my complaint that I asked for them to hand over to management.”

So disappointed with their service- not only is the communication terrible, once they have your money you're pretty much on your own... they made a mistake with my account, I had being paying money which was leaving account every month... they falsely accused me of not paying and got debt collectors after me.I had threatening emails and letters for something I hadn't done... not cool!I have never experience so much stress in my life. I obviously have asked for compensation for their mistakes which they admitted they were responsible for.. but now I'm obviously asking for compensation / refund.. they have vanished. They will not get back to me via the email they advised I contact for help and are ignoring all my emails. I'm writing this to try and prevent anyone else going through this awful and very stressful experience! This case is still yet to be resolved.. major alarm bells.”
