“Terrible Customer Service 0/5
After dealing with a situation that has taken almost 2 weeks, I’ve called several times and even emailed the company. Unfortunately, I decided to purchase my bus ticket through the RegioJet website. After receiving an email confirmation to the correct email address from their payment partner, I patiently waited for a ticket that never came. This confusion not only caused me to miss my bus, but I ended up having to pay for a second ticket for my trip, after waiting at the bus station for several extra hours.
At no point was anybody sympathetic to my situation. Each time I called I was informed to “wait” and that my refund will be processed immediately. Finally, I emailed the company and got a very nice “The fact that the passenger enters the wrong e-mail and it is not delivered to the e-mail he wanted is not our fault. From our the ticket was sent to the e-mail address you entered.”
To reiterate, I clearly entered the CORRECT email, since I received a confirmation payment from PayU (their partner).
Honestly, don’t waste your time or your money on this terrible company. Pay the extra few dollars, because if anything goes wrong (literally anything), they will not help you out in any way, shape, or form.”
“I took the train from Prague to Budapest, RJ1031, I was in coach number 3, which is supposed to have unlimited hot drinks included. However everytime I asked for coffee or hot water I was shouted at and rudely refused. Not the right way to treat a passenger especially one from another country.”
“Used Regiojet from Karlovy Vary to Peague. Ticket collector refused to sell me a ticket despite having lots of time. He would not change the time (my ticket was for 8pm), saying it had to be done online only - which was not true according to a Regiojet driver. His reaction...............he just laughed. Absolutely despicable behaviour. My friend was left in tears as a result of his comments.
He even gave me a sarcastic thumbs up as the bus left the station. Disgusting behaviour from a small minded, lazy and basically creepy man who was too scared to give his name. I took pictures of him as he cowered on to the bus refusing to let me ask the driver who looked bewildered
Shame on Regiojet for employing someone not interested in people or customer service.
Disgraceful and a shame for the good people that work for this company. He lets you all down”
“Having read a number of negative reviews, we were apprehensive as we were booked by Regiojet bus from Krakow to Ostrava, Osrato Prague and from Prague to Budapest. The bus was OK...on time and comfortable. The trains we took to Prague RJ1010 and Budapest RJ1035 were excellent. The service on board was exemplary, the staff very courteous. We'll done Rigiojet!”
“I waited 2 hours to get any staff member to notice me as I wanted to order some coffee. As the other people where finishing their food and coffee as an english speaker i was totally blown off by the stewardess when i finally got her attention. Later i went up to the room they serve food from and they litteraly closed the door in front of my face. Also nearly nobody speaks communicative english. The toilets are flooded and do not work on the both trains i took. DO NOT RECCOMEND ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE SERVICE”
“We travelled from Budapest to Prague during summer - July 2022. This is a 7 hour trip. There was no air conditioning and it was highly uncomfortable (30+ degrees). I do not recommend.”
“The worst experience! I think this company is a scam! They said theres gonna be a delay of 20 mins. I waited for more than 2 hours still no bus arrived. I had to change all my plans, now I dont have a place to stay for the night. I’ve paid for my accomodation for 2 nights already now I have to pay more. I booked return ticket with them as well but I dont trust them anymore I might miss my flight if I still go with them.
Don’t ride with RegioJet!!!!”
“The train delayed on its way for 3 hours. I missed my flight and had to pay for another super expensive one. The company refuses to pay proper refund. Very bad experience.”
“Dresden - Berlin. 17.11.21 17:25. I am very sick on the road and it is important for me to see the road. that's why we always buy front seats in advance! When boarding, the driver refused us in our seats because of the Corona, although on the official website they sold us seats 3 and 4, which is indicated in our tickets! We were offered seats at the end of the bus !!!!! And this with my motion sickness and the tickets sold to us in the first row !!!! As a result, a situation was created that threatened my health, and a false service was sold, which did not correspond to reality!”
“I still find it difficult to put my experience into words. I had booked a bus trip because - based on the indication regarding available seats on the RegioJet website - I expected it to be less crowded than a plane/airport and therefore a safer way of traveling home during the Coronacrisis. It seems, however, that many sold tickets are not registered on the website. The bus was not only nearly full, many people were not (properly) wearing face masks. In fact, the last row was filled with 4 or so men drinking hard liquor and screaming/spitting through the bus. I figured I could escape the uncomfortable feeling by taking the seat I had booked and which had been surrounded by empty seats on RegioJet's website. This, however, was not the case: my seat was taken, so where almost all others and the drivers told me to simply take a seat wherever I could find one. As the remaining seats were exclusively next to people refusing to properly wear their PPE, I decided to unboard the bus before the trip had started.
As an aside, the bus was also already 45 minutes late after supposedly 5h of driving. I am not sure how much that delay increased on the remaining 12h, but I must imagine that it worsened.”
“When you book your ticket from RegioJet, you will receive some random information as where your bus will be located, which seat number do you have etc. Do not rely on them. Because after all, the company DOES NOT CARE about this information.
For example in your ticket it may say your bus will be at peron number four. You can wait at peron number four, and then voila! The driver of your bus may, for his own pleasure, park the bus to peron ten or twelve. If you miss the bus because of this, that's your problem! And you never get your money back.
This is RegioJet. Be prepared, enjoy the ride (if you can!)”
“Unhelpful and rude people.
Waiting for the bus at that station for over an hour to be told if had already drove in and out, there are no instructions for which bus stop so we were running between buses in the pouring rain to asking if it was going back to prague, we were then told the bj us had gone buy a new ticket!!. When ringing customer service they told us the bus was a plain white bus! Like that helps no number bus was give at all so how were we supposed to no which one it was. I complained and was told basically it is tough so we had to buy another ticket. Never again !!!!”
“Very impressed with our trip today 8.45 from Bratislava to Vienna. Very pleasant courier on board. Free drinks. Very reasonable price €10 return. So much better than any UK bus trip! 😀”
“Terrible cashback service and bus quality
Today my husband and I have planned a wonderful day in Dresden but made a huge mistake buying the tickets for Regiojet buses there and back. The bus with departure at 10.30 a.m. got broken in Prague and we had to wait for another one for nearly half an hour. But it was only the beginning! The second bus got broken on a highway in the middle of nowhere between Prague and Dresden! The extra bus was promised to arrive in half an hour but only for passengers travelling to Berlin. Those who were heading to Dresden had no news at all. We had to spend nearly one hour and a half under the hot sun just on the highway near the bus. Finally, the replacement bus arrived and all of the passengers proceeded further. Fortunately, the route was still through Dresden and we managed to arrive just two and a half hours late! No big deal, really. We were promised full cashback but only in Prague in the ticket office where we bought the tickets. Note that the company has no office in Dresden so in fact you can get no information there (yeah, and no chance to return the ticket if your bus is late). Better ask in advance.
Way back to Prague at the same day was also fantastic. Our bus must have left the Dresden station at 7.35 p.m. In fact it happened almost an hour late. We were late to Prague by a bit less than an hour.
As soon as we arrived to Prague, we headed to the ticket office to get our money back at least for the tickets to Dresden (to say nothing about the ruined day). However, the representative of the company told us that "it was not her problem!" (c) and proposed to write a claim. We asked for an official confirmation of this position of the company from her. After that she finally made a call and checked the ticket number just to find out that we were supposed to get the cashback. Finally after the hard day and even harder night we have at least the compensation for the way to Dresden. As it was too nervous and overwhelming, we didn't even try to get the half of the price for the ticket back (46-90 minutes late bus means that you can get half of the ticket price back at least according to the colourful guides with ads and "company policies").
Just stay away from this company. We have seen tons of Flixbuses and others which were on time. Less nervous and timely trips.”
“Very bad service and very unpleasent staff, if you can't provide services let the people buy something to eat from counter, as nobody is coming to seats to offer if we want to buy something. Very disappointed.”
