It was a gosh darn nightmare bro. They have the most confusing website. It’s impossible to navigate through. I never realized how much time and effort would go into making so little money off of something as a seller

Reverb has become ridiculous-5% seller fee is bad enough but then they add "processing fee" which is outrageous-never again Reverb-closing my account!

I'm sick and tired of getting burned by this site. Purchased a guitar from a seller seller didn't send item purchased. Seller didn't return comment just turned the page on me Reverb does nothing to help either I think I'm going to sell a Corvette that I don't own on this site and just burn somebody because they seem to be getting away with a daily

Purchased Used Fender Deluxe reverb amp. The issue surfaces after about 1 1/2 hrs of use, the vibrato Channel makes all kinds of noise. Amp was advertised as "Excellent Condition, all gone through" I got no reply from the seller, Chris's Guitar Shop in Seattle, or Reverb when I filed for a refund. I have switched tubes, cleaned tube sockets, but will have to go to shop for repairs. No customer service, scam site, beware ! I would leave no stars If I could after this experience.

After several requests to close my Reverb account. This business continues to turn a blind eye. They continue to hold my bank account and credit card as hostage. I've spoken via text because there is no live person to speak with on the phone. Its all done through texts. Customer service representatives continue to point the finger at each other and do not really care about customers complaints. I don't have any other options other than to hire an attorney.

Sadly Reverb has gone thru changes. I thought I purchased a 1954 Martin. The seller took me off site to purchase. Reverb card no. Not one piece of that guitar is 1954, a Marin luthier stated in writing. Luckily I insisted on PayPal, seller had no idea I would get Martin inspection. Nope…1960 sides, 2010s top and clunky braces off cheap non Martin guitar. Junk fake tuners. Not even a Martin neck! Had brass screws..a Martin never had ever. Reverb care? Nope. It’s in their website now for sale. Huge discount to get fast add add sale. Poor buyer will get screwed! Reverb makes $.

Reverb is now collecting sales tax for Canadian buyers. This is not good news for Canadian buyers and is a detriment for Canadians to purchase items on Reverb.

Selling on Reverb.com is painful. They sit on the money for ages despite saying they send funds the next working day. One sale took a week for the money to arrive in my bank. Another had the money held for ages as it hadn't recognised the Royal Mail delivery as delivered so I had to spend 15mins talking to customer support to get them to correct it, and then it still took 5 days for the money to come over! Proper shady company using underhand techniques to sit on users money for extended periods of time.

I think the idea of this site is good but the folks running it are crooks! Over $300.00 to see a fkg guitar! $94.00 to bump and they hide the cost till end of auction!!!! Should be illegal! Bad people doing bad things to good musicians. Sad fkg world we live in these days. :(

Automatic charge of insurance (even if you already have ) for merchandise over 1500. Now outrageous charges to do what??? Cost me over $300 for Reverb to facilitate a sale of my guitar. I will never use them again

I received an Email this morning telling me to confirm my Email address with Reverb. I have never used Reverb before, never visited their site, never had anything to do with them. I've just finished trying to sort it all out, and their customer service is pure sh**. I was put through to a virtual assistant, who didn't understand the questions I asked, and wasn't programmed to respond to 'I have no account and think someone made one in my name'. I was told by it to ask for an appointment with an actual person, BUT I NEEDED AN ACCOUNT TO DO THAT! You can see why that wouldn't work! All in all, from what I could cobble together to get an account or find the one that sent something to my address ended up getting that account suspended, so at least there's that. I don't even know what was actually going on, all I know is that I had to put a stop to it myself.

Reverb.com recently bought by Estay, is now the biggest ripoff! I sold a guitar recently, and they ended up taking 17.4%. How is that possible you ask ? They say they charge 5%, but they add another 2.7%. If you purchase "extra bumps" from Reverb.com, they not only charge you for those bumps, but charge you 7.7% fee for Bump amount you purchased FROM THEM! The charge you 7.7% for the amount the seller pays to his state for taxes! They even charge you 7.7% for the amount of the shipping. I hope someone begins a civil law suit against Esty or Reverb.com.

BUYER BEWARE Just had yet another bad experience on Reverb.com, which will be my last. I am closing my account permanently. This time was sent a G&L bass with a dead pick up from Spindrift Guitars in Connecticut. Was advertised as VERY GOOD condition. Upon arrival it looked great. My amp was packed up so I didn't get to plug it in for over a week. After finally unpacking my amp and studio, I plugged in the bass for the first time and no output. All my other basses worked fine through the amp. After further inspection, internal wiring was solid but the pick up was dead. Messaged the sellers shop, with the return message of, "it worked when we sent it". Which everyone knows that shipping does not cause a pick up to go dead. Reverb customer service was no help as the incident was past the 7 day period. This was clearly false advertising from Spindrift Guitars, who denied responsibility of selling a falsely advertised instrument. VERY GOOD condition means it puts out sound. I'd rather pay retail for a brand new item than get ripped off anymore. It's cheaper to pay retail at an actual brick and mortar shop than to get ripped off from Reverb.com.

They will make you go through hoops before paying you. Intentionally ignorant help center. "Surprise" that the payment is a problem. It has been 3 weeks and I have yet to see a cent.
