The process of completing the proposal form online after finding that the RIAS premium was the most economical on www.comparethemeerkaats.com could not have been easier. Luckily, I knew the rebuild cost of our house, and the value of our posessions so answering all the questions was not difficult. The optins for extra cover are clerly explained and reasonably priced. We had been with our previous broker for several claim free years they before inflated our renewal premium by more than 108%. They were unable to give any reason why. The premium with RIAS for cover underwritten by the same insurer was more than 10% less than last year's premium with our previous insurer. Thank you and well done RIAS.

Sadly unimpressed so far, but hope it gets better. I have been in touch with your support people because I could not load my proof of NCD to your web portal. Response has been prompt (good), but 50% of the time they do not appear to have read my email or the history or do not understand what is going on. Very frustrating to get responses from people who are not reading the call history. No idea at the moment when I'm going to get access to the portal needed to access documents and manage my policy.

The online proposal and purchase was clear and easy to follow. Uploading the required documents was also easy once the account was set up and the subsequent query was easily resolved by telephone with a very helpful member of staff. Would highly recommend RIAS to my friends - and I am not easily impressed!

customers should check all thier details and price i did not just accepted all documents and price until this year found out i was paying a higher premium for the last couple of years than i should have been queried the policy this year its cheaper than the last couple of years asked where they got there figures from for the last couple of years they could not tell me

Gabrielle was a very friendly, helpful adviser. She got me the best deal, sorted out my no claims bonus, and was very patient as it took me two days to make up my mind.

I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHY MY HOUSE CONTENTS RENEWAL WAS £120+ EVEN THOUGH I HAVE BEEN WITH YOU FOR MANY YEARS, AND I GO ONLINE AND GET THE SAME COVER FOR £40.61 ? I HAVE THIS MORNING PHONED THE FINANCAIL OMBUDSMAN AND EXPLAINED THE SITUATION AND THEY HAVE INFORMED ME THAT I HAVE GET IN TOUCH WITH YOU WHICH I AM KNOW AND SAY THAT I HAVE BEEN MIS-SOLD HOME CONTENTS INSURANCE FOR OVER A DECADE, HAS YOU HAVE SOLD ME £50,000 HOME CONTENTS INSURANCE FOR £40.61 YET ON MY RENEWAL YOU WANTED £120+ THAT IS TREBLE. THE F.O.S WANT ME TO EMAIL THEM YOUR REPLY AND THEN THEY WILL OPEN A CASE. YOURS David Potts

It was mostly very good. However I had trouble answering the question about locks on external doors. The question specified "5 lever mortice deadlock (or alternative approved by us)" whatever they are. We have 3 point multi-locking on our doors and the two of your staff who discussed this with me both said this was acceptable. The first was the one who organised my cover whose, name I forget, and the second was Kay who I phoned last night to confirm I was OK with these locks. I imagine many people have the 3 point system and I think it should be made clear in your policy and in the question in the on-line application that these locks are acceptable. Paul Sanderson

I took out my car insurance over the phone the advisor was polite efficient and very professional I have insured motor vehicles for over 40 years and I'm still amazed at the large variations in prices between companies I have to say the cover I got from RIAS was the lowest in the market but with the high level of cover I required, this was matched by the quality of the representative I spoke to and arranged my policy
