“Posted a package to Thailand on 16 December. It arrived in their Heathrow sorting office on 17th where it has allegedly been since then, although there is a chance it could have been stolen. Royal Mail have no interest in looking for it and have told me not to contact them again until 25 January when I can start a claim. Bearing in mind that they charged me over £20 and claimed that they would deliver between 5 to 7 days this is outrageous. By the time they get round to doing something it will have been 6 weeks. That will be the last time that I use their totally inadequate service. The sooner they are closed down the better. Courier companies might be more expensive but at least they deliver as advertised.”

“No Royal Mail postal delivery since 9 December 2020 from Royal Mail Bexleyheath Branch. Extremely poor service. Website information inaccurate regarding opening and collection times and is very challenging to use. Walked to Bexleyheath branch on 29 Dec 2020 and saw Royal Mail vehicle and the driver and was collecting mail from post boxes en route at around 11:30 and saw same vehicle at branch around 12:30. Notice on main door which customers use said "closed due to COVID". SPOKE TO EMPLOYEE AT BACK OF BRANCH who was unable to assist and check our mail and was told it was unknown it when branch would reopen. However, thank you to Parcel Force who were able to deliver medical consumables within 24 hrs of ordering from supplier.”
“This has to be one the worst companies on the planet especially when making a claim. in addition to the poorest claims process, they now also will sell you International Post Labels from their website that are completely useless as they DO NOT accept the parcel in the Post Office under "new rules" to top it all i have now been on hold to customer service for almost half an hour.”

“Always very poor and currently worse than ever if people pay the going rate for a delivery service then no excuses it should be delivered on time or else offer a cheaper service saying you don't know IF or when it's going to be delivered other companies have managed through the current situation. “Posted parcel of Christmas presents to my daughter in Dubai as she can't get home because of covid. Posted on 3rd November 2020 using track end to end and signed for and it still hasn't arrived over 6 weeks later! Royal mail are not interested in trying to find out where it is, as it has left the UK so it's out of their hands. I've paid for a service which has not been fulfilled. All I've been told by those I've spoken to is to "put a claim in". I don't want to put a claim in, I want them to find my parcel and deliver it! This is the service I paid for! Their customer service is a waste of time as they all seem to be reading from the same script. I am absolutely appalled at their unwillingness to help. I will never use them again for this service.”
“On 14 december I posted two packages of cards at the local post office in Perth, Scotland for family members in Scotland and England. One contained a birthday card for the 19th. Nine days later, neither of these packages has arrived. Similarly, packages sent by family to me have not turned up.
This is beyond unacceptable.”

They offer you a special guaranteed next day delivery but my parcel arrived 3 days later.
It was a covid test that needed to reach the laboratory within 24 hours to be in time for the flight.
They don't deliver what they promise I know hundreds of people in the same situation - not being able to travel because of the incompetence of Royal Mail. On top of that, they just offered a reimbursement of the amount paid, rather than a compensation for the costs of the test and the consequences of not being able to take the flight.
They should ban this type of practices.”
“Normally Royal Mail is fairly dependable, but, this past 2 weeks, most items are taking over a week/ 10 days to get to their destination!!! Shocking mess and clearly down to poor management.

“On 9th November 2020 sent parcel to Dubai via international track and trace. Last tracking info on 11.11.2020 says at Langley due to leave UK. Parcel still not arrived at destination and tracking report still not updated since 11th November. After a number of attempts to contact Royal Mail did receive a reply to my email stating they do not know why tracking not working or where my parcel is but it will probably still turn up?!?! Had 2nd parcel to send out to Dubai didn't see the point in using Royal Mail again so paid for DHL Courier service. Parcel arrived at address in Dubai 4 days later. I received regular updates from DHL during parcel's journey. Will never use Royal Mail again. Shocking service!!!”
