Not fit for purpose-Only in it for profit! As a small business, Royal Mail's terrible service ruins our customer experience. Some parcels take over a month to arrive if they make it at all. Over the past 18 Months their service has become progressively worse. They obviously don't invest in extra staffing as extra profit is more important to it's owners and shareholders. We live in a World where online purchasing is increasing. The Royal Mail is only looking to increase it's profits and not it's quality of service. Like many small businesses, this Year I will be taking my services to courier as the cost of lost parcels and lost customers is too high if I continue to use the Royal Mail.

Stop the inane apologies and get a grip of your business Royal Mail! 1 in 2 parcels I sent to Europe pre Christmas have not arrived/been lost and your record for delivery to America through last year was abysmal too 1 in 4 delivered after weeks/ruined/lost. And this is not a cheap delivery option. As a business I need to have a safe, quick system of delivery to Europe and America- someone please step up and sort this out. It is costing my business a lot of time and money and loss of goodwill. I always refund as it is not the customers fault... but nor is it mine. I cant answer Q's below as the parcels disappear??!

I ordered a product from Royal Mail 2 weeks ago. They told me 3 days ago that they had delivered it that morning. I was sat in my front room all day (right next to the front door) and nobody came to the door. There wasn't any sign that anybody had been there. I checked the footage on my Ring doorbell and nobody had turned up all day. I tried to contact in every way I could but they do hire some useless employees. I still haven't heard a thing. This is an utter disgrace.

Its a shame Royal Mail has been so useless over the Christmas 2020 period. I dont remotely ubderstand the logistics of such a company but this Christmas they have been really awful. Packages 2 weeks late_ at least at the point of writing. The only package i did get sent to the wrong house even though address label is very clear. Obviously Covid is an extraordinary situation but compared to Amazon their service is appalling. If they dont up their game i think theyll lose the franchise

There is nothin royal about their service the company is a joke why cant we have another option than this over priced slow company to use i am so sick of waiting nearly a week for important mail while amazon can get me a item the next day

Worst customer service over the phone. Waiting for 40 minutes to talk to someone. Other contact phones are disconnected. Rubbish service.

Ordered something 2 weeks ago with Tracked 24, no sign of it. Still stuck on we've received your parcel. Terrible Company

I oreded xmas gifts online and was due before Christmas bur am still waiting now and its the new year royal mail are not as they used to be i know covid as caused problems but late Christmas gifts is not good

Ignorant service provider. They deliver when they want to deliver. Exploiting the monopoly. They don't have an understanding of the term "Track and Trace"

No information until the morning of my delivery and then it was a four hour window, sender asked for signed for, due to covid 19 this wasn't possible but no proof of id asked for either.

Waited in for a parcel new years eve, to my surprise when I walked into my hallway there was a red slip waiting for me saying I had missed him. Not only did I not even get a knock on the door but they can apparently also time travel as the slip stated a missed time half hour into the future! Today I went to collect it from the sorting office which advertised on the royal mail website as being open until 12 was closed by 11:15! Guess I'll try again Monday now then, utter joke!

Posted three parcels for the same address, First class. One arrived on time, the other two are who knows where. Tracking useless as it only works when delivery has been attempted. Royal Mail charges premium prices yet fails to deliver. No wonder other operators are doing so well. This is the last time I’ll be using RM.

I am a travel agent and on 17/12/2020 I posted the last batch of 150 Christmas cards to clients of mine, with 1st class stamps on, very few received their cards before Christmas. Today in the post I received a Christmas card from one of my clients posted 16/12/2020 with a 1st class stamp on. This is absolutely shocking and unacceptable. How can you even increase stamp prices ?

Been no postman for a week, I know they were off from Christmas day until Monday 28th but I have not seen a postman all week, neither have mu neighbours. Useless.

Atrocious service, 3 times now special delivery has arrived late. The latest I’m told won’t arrive until Monday 6 days after it was posted. Charging customers extortionate prices for a service they know they cannot provide then telling me to contact seller for a refund. Completely fobbing me off and no accountability. Once I can live with, twice is annoying but 3 times is a joke. Also delivered one of my items to the wrong address somehow and it was never seen again. Once again told to contact the seller and never heard anything back. They’re not fit for purpose and I won’t use again.

I absolutely hate dealing with royal mail as an e-commerce seller. Their prices are so beyond a joke, and almost never mean deadlines. I swear I've had less trouble with Hermes! The ones who get all the stick about being bad are the ones who upstage our national postage service. Pathetic restrictions on what you can and can't send, and horrible customer service. Just stay away.
