Two parcels in 2 Weeks not arrived. I got the first item off of Ebay and it didn't turn up. I saw the same item from another seller(jessops 2x teleconverter) so I bought that and though and behold it has not turned up. 2 of the same items sent by different users both by Royal Mail. Then on Wednesday I get a grey card through door telling Me I owed customs , so I paid it and booked delivery for the Friday and guess what??? yep it didn't turn up.Royal Mail customer services are appalling and all they said was it will def be their by 6pm .. More like at a Royal Mail's employees home by 6pm. I have had at least 10 things in the last Year go missing and they sent the same stupid letter each time. Twilley Street sw18 , the same sorting office that was on C4 dispatches a couple of Years ago when it was rife amongst the staff, not made up but secretly filmed. My advice is when possible AVOID ROYAL MAIL AT ALL COSTS.

I am utterly fed up going to the sorting office to collect parcels, I do more work than the postman. This week I must have spent 2 hours collecting parcels if that’s not bad enough I am in a queue more often than not, utter shambles, cannot see there delivery service lasting much longer, disgusted customer,

Tried to contact Northampton St James mill road sorting office with a query concerning a tracked parcel that was not delivered in the time slot that they emailed me, and I took the day off for Spent 3 hours altogether waiting on the phone. I am pretty sure there is none answering the phones there.

Awful customer service experience, representatives incredibly rude and would refuse to recognise a service failure.

Complete failure. Posted at 3:15pm on a Tuesday, 'guaranteed delivery' for the next day. At 5:30pm the next day the tracking service was showing the item as still in transit with no update since 9:15pm the previous night. Called the Royal Mail phone number and (after half an hour on hold) I'm told that there seems to have been a problem but the item should "definitely" be there by Friday! Doesn't even deserve 1 star. Complete rubbish.

Rubbish, I run a business on ebay and amazon. Around 5% of my items get lost in the post. It means that around 5 of my items go missing every single day. And guess what. When I tried to claim them back from Royal Mail, they sent me a letter saying that they are concerned with the volume of claims that I have made and refused to pay my money back. Unbelievably poor service.

Worst courier/ customer service On 27 November i checked the tracking for my parcel and it was showing that they were unable to deliver the package because i didn't was at home, the worst thing is that they didn't leave any card. So at first hour on the morning i was at the post office and surprise i can't take my package because i don't have an white card. On the tracking page is showing that i have 2 options but you don't have any real one, the guy from post office said he cant give me the package now because i need to wait for an white card even if on their site is showing that i can take the package. Updated on: Tuesday 27 November 05:53pm Available for Collection or Redelivery Sorry, we tried to deliver your parcel on 27-11-2018 but there didn't seem to be anyone in. Please choose an option below.

I would put zero stars but this tool doesn't allow me! I send some important documents to Portugal using the Royal Mail tracked and signed for service. This is advertised as 3-5 working days. After taking a week to even leave the UK (according to their tracking) the letters were passed to their shipping agent in Portugal -GLS. As far as I can tell they didn't even try to deliver it and just dropped it at a 'parcel shop'. No details of where this parcel shop was to allow collection or redelivery to be arranged. Royal Mail helpline were less than helpful telling me to call GLS in Portugal myself (I don't speak Portuguese) and, when in desperation at asked for at least a telephone number I was told to google for it. I eventually got through to a complaints dept who did at least supply a number for head of office of GLS in Portugal and my Portuguese solicitor then had to call the number, track down the parcel and go out to collect it. Goodness only knows how much this will cost me! I don't know about other countries but DO NOT USE this service for Portugal.

I had 2 texts and an email saying delivery of 2 parcels was scheduled for Saturday the 24th November. Nothing came and when I checked ‘tracking’ it said the recipient requested they had gone back to the depot. NOT TRUE! Why do they lie? Just got another set of emails/texts. Hopefully they will be true this time.

Royal Mail tracking is a total joke. I am supposed to receive a parcel Saturday 24th Nov yet when I check tracking it still hasn't updated from 3 days ago when they took possession of the parcel. I have no idea whether it will be delivered or not but I do not want to miss it so I am staying in on Saturday in the faint hope they deliver it. Fat chance !!!! Totally hopeless system, why anyone uses them is beyond me. Like another reviewer on here, I will never again buy from someone who is using Royal Mail they are the dregs of the earth.

If something goes wrong with your Royal Mail package they don’t have the systems or customer support to put it right. They failed to deliver a next day special delivery which went back to the depot. It will now take a month to deliver. Customer service took 28 minutes to answer the phone. You just don’t get this with a DPD or the other courier services.

I now refuse to buy from anyone who uses royal mail as a courier. Stuck in the last century, 'local depot' 40 miles from a major city. No live map tracking like other major couriers eg dpd. Require a signature for everything even books or dvds that can be posted unlike Amazon and other modern courier. DO NOT USE!

Royal Mail lost a package that I sent abroad, that contained sentimental and personal items for a friend's birthday. They charged me £30 to send the package to Germany. I don't know what else I can say, they are horrible! Just for comparison, it is easier for me to send items to Somalia than it to a European nation using the Royal Mail. I'm not exaggerating they are terrible, I would rather pay extra and use a courier next time. Avoid unless desperate.

Really bad experience sending pacrels abroad. Royal Mail accepts parcells addressed for PO boxes in Poland which they are unable to deliver. When asked for refund been told i choosed incorrect service as their polish contractor GLS doenst do PO boxes. Havent choosen any at post office just asked to send my parcel recorded delivery. Second parcel hasn't been delivered as as ive been told by they contractor delivers their parcels in Poland - GLS, there was only house number and post code provided by RM which isnt enough to deliver parcels in Poland. Again no refund provided after 7 email of explanation. Total lost about £26 . Never more ever... ROYAL? bringing shame to the word. Andrzej Woszczyk. Peterborough UK

Sent an international signed for parcel advertised as 5-7 working days to Nigeria on 9th October. Called customer service 2 weeks later when parcel failed to arrive, and was told by a very unhelpful staff I'd have to wait for 25 working days to confirm parcel was missing. When I asked to confirm if it has been signed for she informed me once parcel gets to destination country, it has nothing to do with royal mail. Very helpful. Parcel finally got to recipient on 5th November. The advert is a scam from my experience. Use at your peril.

I live in Norway and order often from amazon.co.uk and ebay.co.uk. When I buy things from China it takes a long time to come but they always arrive (and with free postage, even for an item costing less than 1 euro). I've ordered 7 items from the UK which were sent with Royal Mail and 3 of them never arrived, a failure rate of 42%. I now try to avoid ordering anything that will be sent by Royal Mail. I would rather order from China and wait 5-6 weeks than order from England and not know if it's every going to come.

It's about the office in Raleigh. I wanted to collect a parcel in behalf of the receiver as he couldn't go to office during opening time. I had a written permission, power of attorney, including copy of identity from the receiver my own identity as well but the very unkindly man behind the counter refused to hand out the parcel.

Having admitted they lost my tracked parcel worth £100, sent me six first class stamps as compensation.
