Never leave any parcels, always have to collect from sorting office which is extremely inconvenient. To post parcels I never use Royal Mail as they never leave a parcel which infuriates customers.

Two book orders in the last three weeks not delivered ‘apparently lost’. I contacted the bookstore to request a replacement I asked them not to use Royal Mail again! Additionally seeing postmen/ women around my neighbourhood very rare!

Awful they do not care about the people on the other end receiving the parcel. No communication to say that the parcel is being delivered on which day they just come when they please and leave a note. Refuse to use Royal Mail ever again.

Fed up with sketchy deliveries. The Royal Mails cartel of lazy postal workers still blaming Covid and the weather for their tardiness.

Two separate items collected from H/A sent second class signed for. Requested bring my label on both occasions. So my address visible for returns in case of non delivery (won’t hold my breath) Labels affixed by postman and scanned as shown as collected but tracking is pointless (An update will only be provided when we attempt to deliver your item) it would appear both packages have now gone missing, disappeared, vanished, pilfered ??? in a period of a week. I have already suffered financial loss as a result. For all I know the items could have been delivered left on the doorstep and no signature obtained? Do they even bother getting a signature? To add insult to injury I have to wait 14 days before I can try to claim compensation for their incompetence. That will probably be a complete waste of time, they will come up with some excuse. Third rate untrustworthy outfit, where it’s a lottery if your mail gets delivered or not. The Royal prefix should be removed.

Not for the first time I've had several emails from them to say being delivered tomorrow, between this time and that time , even on the mornings of the delivery , only to send another email a few hours later to say it will be tomorrow. We plan our day around that time as most people do, or worse leave part of our premises unsecured, so they can leave the parcel in a safe place.

My husband has been waiting 4 days for medication to be delivered. Chelmsford MC received it on 5th July and it was tracked24, so delivery should have been within 24 hours but still waiting by the 8th. The tracking system was useless, if I tried to phone, I was sent from pillar to post. I eventually saw a local post van and asked him if there was a different phone number to actually speak to someone - unheard of these days I know - but he wasn't sure of it. However - a couple of hours later the said van returned with my husbands medication!! To say we were surprised was an understatement but he was so kind as he actually went to look for it for him. He totally went the extra mile for us and we thank him for that. Unfortunately I didn't get his name.

I really don’t know what has happened with the Royal Mail delivery service. I recently posted a Sympathy card to a family member in Norfolk 70 miles away which still hasn’t arrived 3weeks later! More recently Birthday cards sent to me 10days ago haven’t arrived. The cost of stamps continue to rise whilst the service deteriorates!

I sold an item on eBay yesterday morning, I took it to my local post office in Wickersley Rotherham who have always provided an excellent service. I shipped the piece of pottery to Bovey Tracey in Devon. It arrived this morning. Less than 24 hours!! Cannot fault the service provided and for small businesses that is what is needed. Postal service 5 ***

Royal mail don't bother to collect if they has nothing to deliver to you. Many times happened they didn't come to collect and sent emails with "We was unable to collect". Useless service. Better go in person at post office or use other courier

Our post delivery doorstep people are lovely. However the Post Office postage system is a shambles. Why try to communicate with customers and say something will be delivered tomorrow and on the day say it is going to be delivered. Then later send a message to say, sorry no delivery today. Promises, promises, doesn’t make a good business model. You are certainly no competition for other parcel delivery companies. A one off sorry is fine but when it is every other parcel something is wrong. Very disappointed I didn’t get my parcel.

Our delivery person is 5 star. He is pleasant and reliable. It is unfortunate that the Royal mail system isn't as efficient. The tracking and information systems are no better than a start up company with no budget to provide customer with a good tracking system.

The service is going from bad to worse poorly trained staff no customer service at all emails not answered for days and then a total rubbish answer and they wounder why people are starting to use other courier companies Sending a parcel in the post office is so much more expensive than buying online and dropping it of delivery drivers to keen to put the not in card through the letter box when disabled and cannot get to the door quickly even shouting that I'm coming to the door only to see the red card drop and the van disappeared electric vans now so you don't even here them sneaking up the yard anymore

What's the point in providing a tracking number when it never gives any update on delivery even when delivered it still says out in transit! Useless service and to think how the royal mail whinge and whine about other parcel company's. But they seem to have nailed it! Why the hell can't the company who started the whole thing in the first place?

The most horrendous delivery company I have ever had to deal with. I paid for the highest possible fee to their associate Parcel Force to have an item collected from my house, a postman shows up asking to collect it and then tells me that he will not do it because he needs a van. I took the item myself to the post office and when I sent the complaint to both companies they kept passing the buck to each other. None of the companies takes responsibility for mixing up the delivery. Royal Mail gave me a tracking reference for a delivery to a complete stranger, lost track of the actual item I had posted and top of everything when I subsequently called their customer service to ask what they had done with the item the woman who answered the phone had the audacity to say that it was my fault since I chose to leave the item with a complete stranger! Since when did one of their Postal branches became "a complete stranger" I don't know. Since I now have to escalate the complaint I would strongly suggest anyone considering using their services to avoid the headache (and money loss) by finding a different carrier. I cannot believe that Ofcom does not keep a tighter rope on this company and its affiliates because it is just unacceptable that they are allowed to lure unsuspecting victims this way.
