Ludlow. The shelves have been bare each time I have been. especially fresh food. Not much choice in other areas. Very disappointed.

I've been to the new Ludlow store four times. Twice there have been lots of empty shelves, yesterday there was hardly any fresh fruit or veg and this was 10:00am, I appreciate that it was a bank holiday but the store had been open for two hours so I think the shelves should have been stacked. There was virtually no fish and the choice of bread was very poor. My previous experience of empty shelves was not on a bank holiday and again the store had been open for about two hours. There obviously seems to be some sort of problem at this store as the Bridgnorth store is always fully stocked first thing, lets hope its a teething issue as I only live a 10minute drive away but for now I'll be giving it a wide birth.

I’d like to start by saying I’ve used sainsburys in store for many many years and never had a problem! However, my household recently contracted covid so all of us had to self isolate. We did our first ever online shop and honestly it was a terrible experience. We ordered on the Wednesday with a delivery booking for the Thursday evening. The delivery guy arrived late and couldn’t find my address. He left without delivering half my order and told me after I stated a whole chunk of my order was missing that he had to go and was running late for his next drop off (not my problem). It took me about 8 calls to finally get the rest of my delivery (the following day) to which it still had missing items!! I finally got the last remaining items after 10pm on the Friday. Sadly I feel very let down by this service. I understand it’s Christmas, covid is causing issues but honesty I will never do an online shop with sainsburys again!! On a plus note the guys at sainsburys customer service did all they could and the delivery driver Lee M who came all the way from Pettswood to woolwich to finally deliver our remaining goods was so apologetic and lovely! Big shout out to him!! All in all terrible!

Heathfield Store. The store Manager was very good in dealing with an overcharge and promptly sanctioned a refund. Unfortunately I was then met with an indifferent and unapologetic attitude from the female staff member handling.

On holiday we all ways use sainsburys yesterday we were waiting to be served at a till one of your workers went to go on the till next to us the next thing one of her colleagues told her to go and cover the self check outs to our amazement the girl casually walked to the next tills but she was still holding bottle of water in one hand and using her phone in the other hand but was never told to put the phone away we could not believe our eyes or ears that first of all she was on the shop floor with the phone and second of all not told to put the phone away we did not realise your company policy allowed this to go on but we no why there is such long time getting served sorry but we think this is disgusting

New "local" opened at York station this week. Bought 2 pints semi skimmed milk today 7 August. 95p price ok but "use by" date of 9 August not acceptable. This has to be used BEFORE milk already open in my fridge.

OK..I do understand completely that when placing a grocery order that some items may not be available when it is 'picked' in the early hours of the morning...BUT....in allowing a substitute one would expect the missing item to be substituted 'like for like'. Thoughtless errors can occur such as a while back - the seeded gluten free bread x6 was substituted with seeded wholewheat bread x6... The vegetarian sausages x8 were substituted with pork sausages x8.... but there have also been some inexplicable and rather odd substitutions over the course of the last 5 years or so.....all of which have been a learning curve as to which items I will not allow substitutes for. Todays delivery had some really well thought about and very appropriate substitutes - Sainsburys frozen salmon fillets x4 were substituted with Youngs frozen salmon fillets x4. (price diff £1) Hubbards peach slices x2 were substituted with Sainsburys peach slices x2. (price diff 98p) Sainsburys nectarine punnet x4 were substituted with Sainsburys nectarine punnet x6 (price diff 50p) Sainsburys cornflakes x2 were substituted with Sainsburys organic cornflakes (price diff 80p) but it is the wine substitutions I am a little puzzled and perplexed by - ordered Sainsburys Sauvignon Blanc x3 - have been substituted by Sainsburys Soave x3 also ordered Sainsburys Chardonnay x3 - have been substituted by Sainsburys Pinot Grigio x3 This is the same as - ordering oranges and being given apples; ordering beef steak and being given pork steak; ordering tea and being given coffee; Just as oranges are not the same as ALL fruit, beef is not the same as ALL meat and tea is not the same as ALL beverages, sauvignon blanc is not the same as ALL wine and likewise chardonnay is not the same as ALL wine. If there were not any of the Sainsburys Sauvignon Blanc available, then substitute it for another brand of Sauvignon Blanc - just as you did with the fish and peaches! Sainsburys please please please give your pickers guidance in this. It saves a lot of hassle and returned goods which you have to refund the exasperated customer for!

Sainsbury's online delivery used to be good - I have been using it from the first lockdown last year. However, yesterday's delivery, expected between 9-10 pm failed to turn up - no text or phone message to explain why it did not arrive I tried phoning Sainsburys customer service, waited nearly an hour - the guy who eventually answered said he would find out what happened - waited a further half hour - then my phone ran out - but it was past my bedtime anyway so gave up. Had email this morning to 'confirm that my order had been cancelled!!! I did not cancel it - Sainsbury's did that without an explanation. I phoned Sainsburys customer services again who told me it was due to technical difficulties. The customer service assistant did apologise profusely, so I cannot find fault with him. I understand now (from Google) that 10,000 customers have also been affected by these technical difficulties. Not good enough Sainsburys - the only reason you got two stars is because I have been happy over the last year but the way you handled this is completely unacceptable.

The quality of the meat in Sainsburys is just terrible. I have purchased whole chicken and chicken thighs and been absolutely stunned at the amount of water that comes out of it. Yesterday we had venison steaks - had to give at least half of the pack to the dog as it was so tough and full of sinew. I did not expect the products to be injected with so much water. I've rarely shopped in Sainsburys before, but having moved, this is the local store (Bridgemead Swindon). What a disappointment.

Sainsbury's mark their second increase in home delivery charges recently by ending free home delivery for £10 and charging £4 or more after this weekend. As isolating we have had a delivery every single week for over a year, all £100 or averaging £120 a week. That equates to over £6000 in a year. Also recently we have had more expiry date products, not always listed, including bread going out of date on the day of delivery, not a lot of use. Next week's order comes from elsewhere and pricing is no more expensive than the equivalent Sainsbury order, amazing how many things are exactly the same price!. Say good by to £6k of my custom over the next year Sainsburys.

Regretfully the food quality has recently got worse. Some vegetable and fruits are not good and expired one or two days after delivery. 2 Heinz tin soup arrived dented, one of which had to be returned and was not refunded. Sorry but if the food doesn't get better as in previous periods we may be compelled to change supplier.

Have been using Sainsbury’s during the pandemic, not having used them before. Most of the time the drivers have been fantastic and I have told them so. Today however,a younger fitter driver brought my order and said he was not allowed to carry it to my front door on the first floor and left it outside on the ground. This has never happened before and if these are the rules, I will not be using them again.

Really disappointed with the condition of my “fresh” fruit and vegetables. I ordered loose to avoid packaging and assumed hand picked would be better however mouldy carrots, bruised apples, brown lettuce.....how wrong I was! My elderly parents who have shopped at Sainsbury’s for years have not been able to get a delivery slot since the beginning of lock down. So much for prioritising the vulnerable! This was their first delivery and they were looking forward to receiving some of their favourites. How disappointing. We will not be ordering again especially as we could not get through to anyone to complain or get a refund. ASDA have been our saviours during this pandemic. We have never shopped there before but I have to say we cannot fault their service. Maybe Sainsbury’s could learn a thing or two and at least improve their customer service and provide their staff with some training to provide customers with a quality service.

I have shopped here for 35 years. Products changing and never for the better. It’s become all about the bottom line and making as much profit as possible. Screw the consumers! The quality isn’t there anymore....these days I would put Sainsbury’s on par with Asda.

Hi, there is good news and bad news. We really like The Taste the Difference, almond and cherry biscuits. The bad news is the unnecessary packaging. Metal lid and base attached to very thick cardboard tube. I have managed to separate the metal base from the cardboard using our tin opener, so I could recycle. But a lot of people won't bother and the packaging will be wasted. The biscuits are considerably more money than cheaper packaged Taste the Difference biscuits. I can only assume I am paying for the unnecessary wrapping?

My wife who is not particularly computer literate decided to do a click and collect. She started the order and then went back to it as couple of days later. When she went to pick the order up only the first part of the order was there and she ended up having to do the rest in the shop. My observation of the process is that it not a clear step by step process at all. It should be as if she was walking through the shop and get to the end to pay. Unfortunately the experience is as far from that as possible. Needless to say, she will not be doing this again.
